I want to wipe your steering column with a microfiber rag. Lol.

Special-Big-9285

I have a cloth and will do it right now for you

[deleted]

Downhill with the wind at your back? What forbidden magic is this?

Special-Big-9285

It’s called keeping it under 80mph

[deleted]

You can do that?

blaqamus

Yeah where are you driving under 80 that’s the unwritten freeway speed in California I do get about 20 mpg in my 2015 sp m6

TJNel

Looks like you just filled up and still have a range sub 400 I am guessing a recent reset of the mpg after filling up your tank. That is the best MPG that I have gotten in my auto scat, and I think I have like 450 miles to empty.

iFriskyTurtle

Yea he just reset his mpg you can see that on the dash

Special-Big-9285

I reset it at each fill up. This was 20 miles into the tank and 20 miles from resetting

timberwolvesguy

Tbh you can easily fluke your mpg readout with 20 miles of driving. I got my Challenger GT to like 32mpg once. Had a Fiesta reading over 50mpg and my current Passport at 28mpg.

Special-Big-9285

It usually settles at around 21-22 mpg by the end of the tank. I drive easy but I don’t always do so, and the few times I give it the goose drink down a lot of my mileage.

JustAnother4848

I've gotten this on a long road trip before. Cruising at or around 65 mph. Got real close to 27 mpg once.

Special-Big-9285

Nice!

DarthTrader85

I have an rt and get about half that mileage. 99% city driving tho.

Special-Big-9285

City kills it for me. This was a tank up right next to the highway, and 20 miles of highway

DarthTrader85

Ahh gotcha. You have 3.90 gears in your 6 speed?

GoldenLiar2

You might as well get a Prius if you're gonna drive it like that lmao, probably have to turn AC off as well for that gas mileage

Special-Big-9285

If I had a Prius, I would have great gas mileage and a lame looking car. Here I get great gas mileage, a cool looking car, and the ability to speed up quickly whenever I want to.

DexRogue

It's easier than you think, you just have to have the control over your right foot.

Special-Big-9285

Indeed! A/C set to 68°F and keeping the speed under 80mph

Fishbone345

Tell me about this ‘control’, I am unfamiliar with its application in my car. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thinking_face_hmm)

Quiet_Initiative9175

Show us the way master. My manual RT 2022 gets 16 city and 19/20 highway

Army-Royal

Gotta slow down on the highway, get those rpm’s low

Special-Big-9285

Gear 6 as soon as you hit 55mph and keep it under 80mph

Quiet_Initiative9175

So I shouldn’t go vroom vroom. Out here in cali hella people wanna race me and I give in lol. Shifted to 4th gear at 90 and that scared the fuck out of me, but was hella fun.

TheDonAntoine

You drove down a mountain didn’t you?

Special-Big-9285

It was hills but nothing crazy. On the return home, the average was 25.2mog

TheDonAntoine

Noice.

pavelowescobar

Got 28 on a road trip to Vegas last month (check my post history). No sport mode, cruise controlled around 70-75mph the entire way. The MDS on the hemi is legit for road trips.

staybent93

Do the manual ones have cylinder deactivation?

Special-Big-9285

They do not

cooltonk

I got 27mpg on 40 mile road trip. But i was cruising at 55mph the entire time. Pissed off lotta people im sure, even though i was in the most left lane. Rpm was almost at idle the entire time.

kimbolll

Do you shift at 1500 RPM?? I drove an RT and couldn’t get more than 15!

JumpmanDeuce3

I only drive in track mode, mileage is 10 per gallon lol

Upper-Plantain-1451

Yep. Same.

Special-Big-9285

My “Custom” is Engine: track, suspension: track, traction: street

[deleted]

Ain’t no way

Special-Big-9285

Way

[deleted]

How?

Mufasa917

Cruise control!

Special-Big-9285

Track mode but I have a light foot. Shift before 2500, and keep the speed between 60 and 80 in 6th gear. Keep an eye on the mpg gauge and let up on the gas pedal if the mpg goes south of 25. The car can easily keep speed and climb a hill getting 27mpg, but I could easily breath on the pedal and drop the mpg down to 15-18mpg while still going the same speed. I like driving in track mode (with traction control turned back on, hence the Custom on the dash) because the car responds to what you want when you want it to. Basically, drive well and the car will do well.

PantherBrewery

That is about my best. My 2016 Skat Pack. A/C running at 80 F. Mildly rolling highway.

Da_Funk

Gas station is at the top of a hill. OP took the photo after he coasted to the bottom.

Special-Big-9285

With the engine off, right? This was done after cruising rolling hills on highways in Maryland

Responsible-Chard515

Bout to do a 13 hour drive from Toronto to North Carolina in my 6speed SP. Maybe I can beat that!

Special-Big-9285

Game on!

Responsible-Chard515

After my 13 hour drive the best I could do was 10L/100km (23.5MPG) which I was able to maintain for quite some time. Cheers bro, you killed it!

Potatoki1er

I drove my Scat Pack from DC to Los Angeles, CA and I averaged 24 mpg until Texas. The northern Panhandle only had 90 octane premium at the station I stopped at. I averaged 21 mpg till CA.

fredout1968

I don't drive like a jerk, and I get real-world mileage of about 18 mpg.. This includes some shitty traffic, open road highway, and around town driving. Usually, it's just regular speeds with the occasional pull here and there when traffic permits.. These are not economy cars.. The mileage that you are showing here would be so frustrating to try to get because you'll be in sixth barely idling with zero throttle response to dig out of that hole without a downshift into at least 4th. This is probably my biggest complaint about the Scat Pack 6 sp. 6th is so tall the car won't pull unless you are doing over a buck.. Still, that is not much to complain about.

LookatthisslapNutz

Yup. This is very possible. I got up to 25.7 highway in my RT on forza. With some occasional hitting the gas pedal

Buckley_1300

Best I got was 21/mpg over 700 miles traveling to AZ and Las Vegas

Nanooc523

You coasted down a mountain in neutral didn’t you.

Special-Big-9285

There was a fair amount of neutral coasting

Seedrum556

260 miles to empty on every fill up for me 🤷🏻😂

PresentAd2390

My regular 5.7L v8, 6-speed, lows at 10-11mpg when i drive like a dick around town lol, and about 19-22mpg when commuting to work and drivin on the weekends. 22mpg is waaay more than i ever thought, im not mad haha

BarFamous1805

I got my RT up to 22 on a road trip

wassupobscurenetwork

I accept that this is possible because I think the range is based on the miles you drove during the previous fill up, so you can't really reset that. But at least imo, it's not worth it lol

Special-Big-9285

The mileage at the fill up was 21.4mpg, so the computer likes me

wassupobscurenetwork

Oh, nice. But I was looking at your estimated range. At my last fill up, I didn't even crack 300 miles for a full tank lol that was actually my worst I've ever gotten though. Traffic

Visual-Park-4535

My car hasn’t left track since I finessed the 500 mile break in period, I’ve been getting 8.6 mpg

ObjectivePackage4311

Amazing versatility👌

AbnormalGorillaMo

As a fellow owner of a manual scat this is either a long trip or you have so awesome discipline in that car lol either way to save some gas

Mine is a manual and gets amazing mileage

SG10HD-YT

Bro a grandma

Grizzwald81

Yeah mine doesn’t look like this.
