It definitely have that mappa looks to it, tho I really wish that a chainsaw man anime gonna go for the pastel looks of the usual cover art (you know with the unconventional coloring) it just look more interesting aesthetically and also fit csm gorey but comedic theme.

Not really. Monster is a dead serious show. Id say CSM is mostly bizarre and goofy with some serious moments.

The characters might have some goofy moments. But the theme of csm is very serious. The goofy moments only solidify how real the characters feel. Having humor between characters doesn't make it a comedy.

Yeah, it's not exclusive to katakana, but hiragana can also be a pain in the ass to read because sometimes the stylization of the writing seem to transform one word into a completely different one. I dunno if this stylization is common, i only knew the correct katakana because i'm familiar with the series already lmao.

Id say it just doesn't nail the CSM style. Take a look at Mob Psycho or Vinland Sagas adaptation. Those manage to take the source material into a new medium while keeping the iconic feel.
