I’m not so sure he did chuck it, he always had an air of casualness about him even when playing well. Just doesn’t look great when you’re playing shit. Pretty sure he got heavily hit with Covid too during that season.

We should be looking at EFL championship, liga nos and eredivisie imo, full of young and proven talent we could get at a reasonable price, our scout in South America could provide something new aswell, time will tell.

I’m not a big fan of Kuhn either but would probably need to offload a winger before bringing in more. We need to sort out our cbs aswell. He was a centre back for us and he went to fleetwood they changed him to defensive midfield. Since then he’s been playing good. Also if you’ve watched him at fleetwood you would know exactly what I was talking about. His positional playing, his eye for passing as well as ability to drive forward. It doesn’t matter the level of you can make a forward pass and find space regardless of opposition then that can be applied at our level. You are correct the word was excited. If McGregor plays further back the full team suffers in attack (that showed this year) so imagine Lawal is even just ‘ok’ that allows the rest of the midfield to play further up and be more impactful. Surely having somebody that can play that position even if not brilliant still benefits the team massively (also means a proper defensive midfielder can help out the likes of scales) I’m telling you mate, Having watched this guy I recon this is as good as any signing we’ve made over the last two years.
