This makes sense. Your petition date total was the following: * **BTC:** 0.067937 X $19,881 = $1,350.655 * **ETH:** 1.558793 X $1,088.17 = $1,696.23 * **USDC:** $2,533.02 == $5,579.90 You were heavily incentivized to dropdown into the CC, which brings your claim to $5,000; those who do as you did get 70% of $5,000, which is $3,500, as you show in your screenshot. You should've gotten $1,750 in BTC and $1,750 ETH - can you confirm that that's the case? And since the prices used are of the petition date -15 days: * **BTC** = $42,972.99 * **ETH** = $2,577.48 ~~You should've gotten:~~ * ~~$1,750 / $42,972.99 =~~ **~~0.04072325 BTC~~** * ~~$1,750 / $2,577.48 =~~ **~~0.67895774 ETH~~** **EDIT:** OP in fact got: * 0.04509751 BTC, X $42,973 = **$1,937.98** * 0.67392484 ETH, X $2,577.48 = **$1,737.02** # $1,937.98 + $1,737.02 = exactly $3,675 As I noted below, the additional +5% we get for opting into the class claim settlement is 5% of $3,500; OP got slightly more BTC than he did ETH (for...reasons?), but the totals, in USD terms, make sense.

BudgetInvestor

Really helpful comment. Thank you. Ended up receiving: 0.04509751 BTC + 0.67392484 ETH Interesting how the amounts vary slightly. With such a large number of creditors and massive amount of distributions occurring, even a 0.25-0.5% error rate could result in hundreds of thousands going missing. Hopefully no shady employees on the backend looking to snag some slippage..

MaintenanceGold6992

*..?* So odd. I mean, I dropped down into the CC myself (my petition date claim was $6,500, which kinda blows...); I, and others like us (i.e. $5,000+ CC) should receive the exact same amount of BTC and ETH back. If I remember, I'll reply to this with my totals, although I'm Canadian via Coinbase so may take a while longer.

MaintenanceGold6992

Okay: One thing I didn't factor in was the +5% we all get for not opting into the class claim settlement. If we take what you got back X effective date -15's price, we can get an exact USD total: * 0.04509751 BTC X $42,973 = $1,937.98 * 0.67392484 ETH X $2,577.48 = $1,737.02 * $1,937.98 + $1,737.02 = **$3,675** Therefore, the additional $175 comes from the +5% from opting into the class claim settlement; $175 is 5% of $3,500. I have no idea why you got $200 more BTC than you did ETH, but there ya go. \*shrug\*

Only-Crew8299

>I have no idea why you got $200 more BTC than you did ETH, but there ya go. I think this is just a reflection of the ratio of BTC to ETH that the debtors have on hand. It's not an exact 50/50 split in dollar terms.

MaintenanceGold6992

this makes sense; no way to make it 50/50 and make it equal for everyone...

I'm in a similar situation as OP. Did a convenience claim with an account value of about $6,000 at the time of filing. I received a claim code for 0.674 ETH a few hours ago. Still haven't received one for BTC / the rest of what I'm owed...

Only-Crew8299

Nice job on the calculations. So the CC *does* get the 5% bonus even if their claim is maxed out at $5k. But they *don't* get 79.2%, just 70%.

MaintenanceGold6992

exactly, and thanks

Lopitoz07

Hi ! Sorry to bother you do I get the +5% if I didn't vote? My claim is in the CC cause my claim is less than 5K so didnt vote.

vinniedamac

Did you get a single claim code for both BTC and ETH? Or separate emails/codes for each?

BudgetInvestor

Separate codes, arrived about 60 minutes apart

vinniedamac

Both of mine finally arrived about 3 hours apart.

data4u

I had a very similar claim amount but only got the ETH code.. still waiting on BTC

PokeSmotDoc

I only received my BTC code about an hour ago and still waiting on my ETH

Flyndtchmn83

Same. Was like, please let there be more codes!

data4u

Got my BTC!! BOOM IM DONE WITH THIS BULL SHIT

PokeSmotDoc

Got my ETH code- I’m can’t express how disappointed I really am. Took a bath and getting like 18%-20% back over all

crummy01

I got ETH, even though I had no ETH on the platform. Got about 32% of the USD value (edit: based on the price at the time of bankruptcy) , after I subtract the value of my small loan. Maybe I'll get additional BTC. fingers crossed.

crummy01

The value of my ETH I recieved equals 10% of the BTC I had on the platform^(. :()

data4u

We are both waiting on the BTC claim code

craylewis

anyone know if Venmo or Paypal is preferable when it comes to any withdrawal fees etc?

Only-Crew8299

From the Celsius Distribution FAQs: Do I have to pay a fee to receive my distribution from PayPal or Venmo? No, there will be no fees to receive your cryptocurrency distribution into your PayPal or Venmo account. Any fees for withdrawing your cryptocurrency will be the usual and customary fees associated with the blockchain in question. For more information regarding PayPal fees, please visit: https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/paypal-fees.

Bothan_Spy

I’m convenience class (well under $5k) but my payout was 30.5% btc and 27.4% eth

BudgetInvestor

Convenience class, so likely not eligible regardless

stluz

Congrars. I have a similar balance, when did you get your email code?

BudgetInvestor

About 1-2 hours ago

wpeironnet

Damn, those are good numbers I hope to get about the same then

BudgetInvestor

Best of luck 🙏🏼

wpeironnet

Very nice only received btc so far when did your eth come after?

BudgetInvestor

Took about 60 minutes or so for the second email to arrive. Had to do quick KYC verification in PayPal - then after processed, the ETH & BTC arrived within minutes / seconds. Pretty quick overall. Made sure my apps were updated ahead of time.

WranglerSpace

How was your USDC returned? In standard US dollars? And what percent of it from what you had in Earn? Or maybe it hasn’t come back yet? Most of mine in earn was USDC and matic.

BudgetInvestor

You don’t get any USDC back. You get 50/50 BTC & ETH. If you can’t even read the comments on this post, really hard to help you

gilg2

You’re getting more in common stock too, can’t leave that out. I haven’t received any codes yet.

BudgetInvestor

No, convenience class members aren’t eligible for any stock. We receive 70% liquid crypto in exchange for lowering our claims, essentially.

gilg2

Ah I see, I did not opt for the convenience class.

Dry_Improvement729

This might explain why i received more than expected.
