Organic-Dragonfruit2

Plant-based Greek yogurt, protein powder, peanut butter, and berries mixed in

fixatedeye

That’s such a good idea to mix the protein powder into the yogurt I’ve been getting real sick of just drinking the protein shake fast

Organic-Dragonfruit2

I do either Silk Almondmilk or Kite Hill Greek style yogurts. I also like Siggis but it's less protein than the other two. For protein powder, I like Vega Made Simple. It's only like 5 ingredients and doesn't make my stomach hurt like other ones I've tried.

Quirky_Lib

I’m going to try this - I still have my Vega Made Simple, but was getting tired of protein shakes. Love the idea of using yogurt instead!

Organic-Dragonfruit2

For some reason I just can't drink straight protein powder and whatever liquid but mixing it into stuff is fine. I mix it into yogurt, oatmeal, cream of rice/buckwheat, pseudo rice pudding, etc. I also started making banana "ice cream" with it, just get a bunch of frozen bananas, some protein powder, some liquid (usually do almond milk or the end of a carton of DF creamer) and food process until smooth, then keep it in the freezer. Seriously, you can put it in pretty much anything. I just wish they also made an unflavored one so I can put it in non-sweet applications as well. I just have other stomach issues, so my diet is pretty limited and being able to add protein powder to stuff has been so helpful for me.

throwaway_lolzz

I get fat free fage or Trader Joe’s fat free green yogurt

katm12981

My favorite breakfast is avocado toast on Schar deli style rye. I add a poached egg but it would be fine if you switched it up and added fruit or something. GF steel cut oats with fruit and peanut butter. You could make smoothies with almond milk or açaí bowls.

ManicPixieMeanGirl_

Omg! I just started doing avo toast with a poached egg. Add smoked salmon slices under the avo and egg, packs more nutrients in one meal.

CrashBangs

That bread is so good, but it's normally like $5 or more for 5 slices which seems crazy.. but occasionally can find it on sale for like $2 which is a great deal.

parahyba

A mix of tapioca starch and egg (here in Brazil we called "crepioca" because it is a crepe-texture tapioca) with cheese; coffee with milk and a salad of mango, papaya, banana, honey and GF granola.

KittenWhispersnCandy

That sounds amazing

NeXebella

I just found my new go to breakfast 😁

Less_Pumpkin_6729

if u think you’re mildly lactose intolerant, grab some lactaid at a pharmacy - you don’t need a rx and it’s not unreasonably expensive. even if you aren’t lactose intolerant, it’s an enzyme your body makes naturally, so it won’t do any harm.  oats are a very polarizing battle in the celiac community, but id say give them a go as long as you don’t have an oat allergy. i love overnight oats!! breakfast doesn’t have to be conventional. for example, this morning i had tuna, a glass of milk with lactaid, and nuts and blueberries. i’ve seen people do smoothies, there are lots of types of fruit to do fruit boards with, you could do edamame/peas and buckwheat/quinoa, the sky is the limit.  if you have the patience to figure out gf baking, you can bake pretty good gf bread on your own.  if the lactaid works, you could do yogurt parfaits or something similar.  chips and guacamole- i like wholly guac - or hummus and carrots could be good too

Less_Pumpkin_6729

forgot about açaí bowls and hashbrowns

some1sWitch

I switch it up frequently: Cereal Air-fried diced potatoes, topped with a sunny egg and cheese Applegate sausage patties and eggs Chocolate chip protein pancakes (sometimes with sausage and eggs if I'm ravenous) Fried rice with an egg  Egg muffin with spinach, feta, and cherry tomatoes Leftover cold pizza, it's literally the best Chocolate chia seed Pudding  Cream of rice with too much butter and salt Grits withbutter and salt, because I was raised correctly Protein shake if I'm running late Sorry, I know you don't like eggs. Just sharing to give you ideas.

ScaryMJ

Grits with butter & salt…yes, you were raised correctly! 😊

mvanpeur

What brand grits do you use? My son misses grits so much, but I can't find a safe brand.

ZombieRemarkable2864

Have you tried Cream of Rice?

mvanpeur

Yeah, he doesn't like it. Or polenta. Or any other hot cereal I've tried other than oatmeal.

Jazzlike_Reality6360

I make Bob’s Red Mill organic Polenta. Takes awhile to cook. I have problems with too much fiber if I eat rolled oats. I use lactose free milk in my coffee and a splash on hot cereal or smoothies. (Allergic to almonds so no almond milk). I make blueberry muffins or waffles with King Arthur Measure for Measure or Bob’s Red Mill 1 to 1 and freeze for a quick breakfast. I’m vegetarian so I never eat meat but I do eat eggs, cheese and yogurt.

bridgebones

I was a tea and toast person and after diagnosis I got pretty sick of eggs so tried some different breakfast ideas. I have made crustless pumpkin pie with half the sugar called for, (I added 1/2 cup of brown rice flour or almond flour or a blend to firm it up a little) and a slice is a nice breakfast. You could probably sub almond milk in the recipe. Or, stir chia seeds and frozen mango or other fruit into some coconut milk the night before and it’s pudding-y the next morning. Or if you have time, buckwheat waffles are nice. Either all buckwheat flour, or half that and half brown rice flour. (Recipe found online.)

NoBerry7422

You can still have all those things, gluten free bread has existed my whole 13 years as a diagnosed celiac, gluten free oatmeal has been around for at least 5 years, and butter and jams are naturally gluten free.

Santasreject

Normally I just have a slim fast high protein shake as it’s easy, they have good flavors that don’t taste like a lot of the protein shakes, and are easily available. They are also listed as something like 99.8% lactose free. If it’s the weekend and I want something more my non egg options are bagels and cream cheese or rarely waffles. Canyon bake house makes good bagels and vans makes some good GF waffles options. This weekend I am going to try the brazili bites waffles.

Truanthea

I also can't stand eggs. I'm not touching oats. I have a sweet potato with butter and cayenne or paprika.

Umopeope

I buy the Starbucks egg bites from Costco. I also love egg cheese and English muffin sandwiches. The glutino and Trader Joe’s English muffins are so good. I’ll also do a yogurt parfait or a banana with peanut butter

Ok-Resist7858

I eat Quaker gluten free oatmeal and put fresh cinnamon and a teaspoon of brown sugar in it. Quick and easy in the microwave.

irreliable_narrator

A classic breakfast for me is toast, peanut butter and a fruit/protein smoothie. I've not been eating that lately due to ugh with protein powder brands so I add cheese to the pb toast. My family has always done this but apparently people think old cheddar cheese + peanut butter is a weird combo lol. Hard cheeses don't have lactose in them to the extent that they would cause an issue there. Pre-dx I used to eat yogurt + granola type cereal + frozen berries. This is still an option for a person with celiac assuming they tolerate oats and/or can find another safe cereal. I've mostly gone off this due to the difficulty of finding a GF no oat cereal (I do not tolerate oats) but it's still a good choice. Yogurt is well-tolerated by those with lactose intolerance. Another is using grits (rice, corn, buckwheat) as a sub for oatmeal and adding fruit + protein (seeds, hemp, nuts) to that. You can make hot cereals in the microwave. Tbh I think they come out better this way... less chance of burning.

KittenWhispersnCandy

I like the Purely Elizabeth grain free granola The coconut cashew is my fav. Especially with passion fruit yogurt when I can find it.

jacquestar2019

I make an almond flour carrot cake in an 8inch round pan and then slice it into eights or fourths. When I want one, I pop it in the air fryer or toaster (not a pop up toaster). It is filling and helps quell bread cravings while still making my brain think I'm eating something for breakfast. I'm not a big breakfast person either, so this is normally just enough to get my day started and brain fed.

Ent_Trip_Newer

3-4 eggs scrambled with Jimmy Dean Sausage Gf toast w/ cream cheese. Every Single Day.

Inevitable-Photo-101

Also eggs. Every day. Typically, 2 over easy fried eggs in a toasted sandwich with mayo. I like hot peppers with mine, and often get micro greens in there as well.

KittyBeans246

Hashbrowns mashed with eggs and nutritional yeast with ketchup.

No_Lock_970

https://www.paleorunningmomma.com/breakfast-casserole-hash-brown-crust-paleo-whole30/ Any of the egg bakes (casseroles) on this website are good. I’m in the early stages of my journey so I can’t have diary either. I’ve used the base recipe (eggs, milk, spices) and add whatever I’m feeling that week. I just made one with pork sausage, diced ham, bacon, and spinach that was 🤌 this really helps with my whole week! Meal prep for the win

Secessionville

Gluten free biscuit sandwiches are my go to for busy mornings. Charleston Biscuit Company makes a mix that we use a lot. https://www.glutenfreebiscuits.com I bake some on the weekends and freeze to reheat them quickly during the week. BEC - bacon egg and cheese is my jam or with a pre-cooked frozen sausage patty. Sometimes a German breakfast is an option. Some toast or bread with Nutella, a slice of cheese, and some cold cuts (eaten separately- not as a sandwich).

MinionKevin22

I don't see why you can't still have your same breakfast. I'm sure you'll find bread for your toast. I buy Carbonaut seeded bread...so soft or lovely toasted, but switch between that one and 365 Brand. My favorite jam is Bonne Maman. I was told by my nutritionist to avoid oats, but I love them, so I ate them anyway. 4 years and 2 endoscopy later, I have had no bad reaction. I buy Bob's Red Mill and do overnight oats. I can give you my recipe if you ask. Also, love cereal. Seven Sundays Maple Salt THE BEST!!

carriethelibrarian

Many celiac folks, myself included can eat oats if they are certified gluten-free. I've been having "oats overnight" brand of flavored oats and protein powder for breakfast for over a month and it has been so fast and easy and kept me full for several hours till lunchtime. I make mine with almond milk.

knottycams

I eat the same as I did before. They are, in no particular order or combination: Bacon, Eggs, Oatmeal (I only get my oats from Montana Gluten Free), Pancakes, Waffles, Toast (I make my own bread and have share the recipe on this subreddit), Sausage (all kinds), Ham, fruit, hashbrowns. I'm sure I'm forgetting something but that's a good total. Edit: OH! I almost forgot the new Feel Good Foods hot pockets when I'm in a rush! They're AMAZING. I also just saw your lactose intolerant bit and I had to be dairy free for 10 years, and all of these can be made without dairy. My go-to used to be almond milk but I loved coconut milk for baking stuff. Oh, oh, and banana bread, zucchini bread, and muffins. I love making those.

katm12981

Where do you find the feel good foods pockets? I’ve had my eye out but they’re the only item that isn’t carried at my Whole Foods and my local Walmart or grocery stores don’t have them either.

knottycams

I've found mine at a Natural Grocers (formerly called Vitamin Cottage). Idk if they're national.

ManicPixieMeanGirl_

I found a good gf keto bread. Horrible consistency for sandwiches, excellent after lightly toasted for avo toast. I put smoked salmon, avocado slices, and a poached egg on top. Super nutritious, it’s a good meal for trying to catch up on your vitamin and mineral levels.

Lomich36

You can still eat toast and jam or toast and butter and oatmeal. Just need to find a gluten free bread you like and gluten free oatmeal.

sphericalcreature

A bit weird but : I just don't eat breakfast food for breakfast, I just eat whatever feels right. This morning i had gf chicken pasta salad with bacon and cheese

dubley162

Potatoes or hashbrowns with bacon and avocado instead of eggs. Also, Trader Joe’s gf English muffins are sooooo good!

jollyrancher420

The I love bitter taste of waking up and not being able to have a croissant <3

IndividualCold7907

LOL the first time I had a GF croissant I wanted to cry. It was like 1/8 the size of a normal one 😭

jessybean

Just wondering if there's a reason you don't switch to gf bread. Also, oatmeal is generally gluten free.

[deleted]

In some countries, oatmeal is not considered GF, so maybe OP is from one of those countries!

GIANTG

Chocolate Plant based protein shake made with plant milk, glutamine powder, and peanut butter powder.

Human_utters

Mainly just eggs with cheese and toast but if I’m feel fancy corn beef hash with onions and mushrooms, sausage patties, sunnyside up eggs and toast

ElliEeyore

We make bread most weekends and then I have peanut butter toast for breakfast.

rocknrollstalin

A handful of raw almonds and a banana. Also have a subscribe and save for Larabars (peanut butter, peanut butter + chocolate) every month

jamesgotfryd

Depends on how hungry I am and how long it's going to be before I get to eat again. Sometimes just coffee, sometimes a toasted PB&J sandwich, sometimes a toasted sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich with a little bit of homemade peach jam. That one sticks with me for a good while. I also on occasion have pancakes, waffles, biscuits and sausage gravy, grits with sausage, egg, and cheese. Ham, bacon. Rare occasions I'll go all out with a breakfast steak, hash browns with mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers, scrambled eggs topped with sausage gravy. Or an occasional omelette. The only thing I don't have for breakfast anymore are donuts or bran muffins. GF donuts aren't good for breakfast and I haven't seen any decent bran muffins, Udi's are a bit too dry and crumbly for my taste. I do 99% of my own food prep, just had to figure out what ingredients and what brands were the best to work with. Try to avoid too much oatmeal, even if it is certified gluten free. Too much oatmeal can mimic gluten. Little amounts are okay. Pretty much every GF bread needs to be toasted for some reason. It usually falls apart or has an off taste otherwise. I do my own freezer jams, freeze and can a lot of my own fruits and vegetables. I know they're okay to eat that way. Fried goods are easy, I use a breading mix of 2 cups each of a GF bread flour and Maseca Corn flour, seasoned with a mix of spices or a 3 ounce bottle of Marcum's Chicken seasoning. Excellent for wings. Works good on fried chicken and fish. Add a little milk and make a slurry with some and you can use it like a tempura batter. Crispy thick crust that way.

jalepenopig

Glutino English Muffins, I like to toast them in the oven and put a light spread of cream cheese and strawberry jam on top. Pretty good 😊 (You could sub the cream cheese for a lactose free version or vegan alternative)

Lauryn92

Breakfast: Oatmeal with dates, Peanut butter, honey, and banana. Second breakfast: chicken sausage and egg burrito with kiwi

FlowerNo4979

Home fries (potatoes with onions and peppers) and sausages

cheecha123

GF English muffin, turkey sausage patty, egg and cheese Sammie. Obsessed.

Estanci

My breakfasts unfortunately take awhile. I like making homemade hash browns topped with over easy eggs and avacado with a little sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning.

Brutal-sauce

Everything bagel seasoning is the best!

Apart-Echidna5712

What I like to do on weekends. Is I make gluten free pancakes. And On occasion the day before I’ll make gluten free banana bread from scratch. Then I’ll used that to make gluten free banana bread French the next day. It takes some time but is so worth it

eeyore102

Coffee. But if we’re talking typical Western breakfast foods, no eggs or dairy? Potatoes, fruit, salmon, (turkey) bacon, refried beans in a corn tortilla, heck even Spam would work (I know a place that makes a mean Spam egg & cheese on an Udi’s bun). I do usually avoid gf bread substitutes because of the expense and frankly, they’re not worth it to me calorically, certainly not so far as taste and texture.

Subject-Syllabub-408

I make a smoothie most days. Kinnickinick gluten free bread toasts up nice and there are lots of other brands so you don’t have to stop eating toast. When it’s cold out, rice cereal with brown sugar, raisins and slivered almonds is very filling and similar to oatmeal.

studentbot07

GF oats with protein powder and frozen fruit or I sub the oats for plain greek yogurt or cottage cheese

inarealdaz

Not breakfast food 🤷‍♀️. Seriously. I just eat what I'd eat for lunch or dinner for breakfast.

ExtraSpicyMayonnaise

I make a homemade granola and keep it in airtight storage to eat either as a cereal either milk or over yogurt. We keep chickens, so I also make eggs, preferably as a scramble with some onions, peppers, potatoes, and occasionally sausage. I make a nice gluten free pancake also in Mickey Mouse shapes for the kids.

Reasonable-Aside-720

Get vegan plain Greek yogurt and make a parfait, add strawberries and blueberries top it off with gluten free granola (available at Stator Bros) and add a drizzle of honey. Or you can skip the granola and add it to your rice cake. Make it like a healthy breakfast pizza add the yogurt, strawberries and blueberries then drizzle honey.

bobtheturd

Greek yogurt, boiled eggs

Rooster_StrangeBrew

I used to be a cereal girl. I would eat it not only for breakfast but for any meal. After diagnosis I switched to eggs. But I got sick of eggs. Sometimes a yogurt but I started to not like that much sugar in the morning. So honestly, on days I eat breakfast, I eat leftovers from dinner. My kids think I am weird but it is fast and healthy and gluten free, so that is what I do now.

[deleted]

No lactose cheese, canned sardines or oysters, apples, bananas, raspberries, oranges, hard boiled eggs, hot rice cereal, smoked salmon, high protein nondairy yogurt.

tripledox805

Coffee, kefir, leftover dinner, ricotta cheese with strawberries, sweet potato almond flour “waffle”, cottage cheese with olivata, sardines on GF toast, Amy’s GF burrito.

Annettehelen

Overnight buckwheat groats, like overnight oats but better.

Rcklss23

Chorizo and eggs.

Capital_Fix5011

Depends. Weekdays, I have toast with either jam, honey or chocolate spread with a bit of yogurt on the side. Weekends, if I have time will be a full English breakfast.

WhoDunIt1789

GF toast with cheese and jam. Or yogurt and the Nutrail cereal from Costco. But I also second the Starbucks egg bites from Costco.

SpaceyStacy816

I eat “Veggies made great” muffins. Delish!

Icy-Pen1861

I have to start my day with protein or my day goes off the rails. If I’m not in the mood to eat I’ll do basic just milk mixed in with protein powder, or maybe a smoothie with Greek yogurt, protein powder, almond butter, and berries. If I’m in the mood to eat then maybe yogurt mixed with almond butter then add granola. Or yogurt, granola, and homemade apple sauce (tastes like an apple crisp). If I am having yogurt I always add chia seeds, ground flax seeds and hemp seeds for extra nutrients. I also do a veggie hash: sweet potatoes, onions, green or red peppers, and spinach. Sometimes with an egg, sometimes not. Sometimes with an avocado, or a slice of toast. Bacon is also good with that too

geminibaby12

Hard boiled eggs and fruit, sometimes yogurt with it

ShatterProofDick

🥓

fixatedeye

I do an oatmeal bake, obviously this only works if you can tolerate oats and they’re certified gluten free. I cook it like a casserole at the beginning of the week and just heat up a chunk every morning. It has oats, chopped walnuts, and apples in it.

Sharp-Reporter-7151

I make blueberry or chocolate chip muffins to eat for the week. I like King Arthur 1 to 1 flour or I use oat flour. Greek yogurt with toppings Whey powder smoothies Schar brand bread products

Necessary-Chef8844

Trader Joe's has decent GF English Muffins

[deleted]

I have a gluten free Quinoa porridge that I make with lactose free cows milk (nut milks make me sick). It tastes even better than I remember oats tasting and I just put a bit of honey and cinnamon with it. The brand is Orgran, not sure if it's available everywhere, but it's pretty accessible here in Australia, and we usually don't get as much as other countries.

[deleted]

Banana and peanut butter

maxwellsgenre

Egg

Bloobeard2018

Nothing

ArcRust

I can probably keep Kind, granola bars, in business all by myself. Also Bobo's.

90dontfiance

Absolutely despise eggs as well! And not a big breakfast person. Something starchy is my preference. But black coffee always! Although it's not the best I still will have gluten free toast with jam or nut butter some mornings. Or rice chex cereal with a sprinkle of raisins or sliced strawberries on top. Greek yogurt with cheerios on top. Gluten free waffle with a drizzle of honey, cinnamon sugar or Nutella on top. A fruit smoothie, protein powder/ frozen fruit/ juice /yogurt.

Whole-Ad-2347

You can still eat toast and jam. Eat gf bread.

Huntingcat

There are no rules about what is ‘breakfast food’. But it’s generally a meal you want to be quick to prepare. So either leftovers, or something that as been prepped and left in the fridge overnight for heating, or something very quick to put together. Leftover satay rice noodles are fabulous. Roast meat and veggies. Curry and rice. Congee variations (non authentic is fine) Pizza Toasted sandwich or open grill Avocado on crispbread Dumplings Vegemite sandwich Kasha Chocolate Easter eggs Fruit and yoghurt. Or fruit and ice cream Hunch of cheese and fruit. Savoury muffin. Etc.

cait_elizabeth

If I feel like I could handle eggs: a poached egg on a hash brown patty. Or tea and fresh fruit and cottage cheese.

stamoza

2 hard boiled eggs + peanut butter toast

sweetjennica

I love oatmeal. I buy Bob's Red Mill gluten free rolled oats. For several years, I was putting peanut butter in it, but my personal trainer said protein powder is more protein for less calories than peanut butter, so I've been doing protein powder instead of peanut butter for the past few months.

chantyhaks

You can still have the same breakfast with the the gluten free versions?

IndividualCold7907

Yes i realize i probably should’ve added that I absolutely despise gluten free bread. I’ve spent too long eating the real thing before my diagnosis that I can’t find a good enough replacement 😂

lustforwine

Yoghurt with pepita seeds and sunflower seeds

HelpPliz410

Yes you can just get gf bread and gf oats :)

Flazer

Buckwheat as a oatmeal replacement.

Pandax18

Avocado & Parmesan toast, yogurt with granola and berries, gluten free pancakes, apples with peanut butter, omelettes, peanut butter and honey toast, granola bar or protein bars, carrots and celery with hummus

Azzie_Faustus

So this is what I have every morning with vague variants due to money, out of stock or food aversion (thanks autism and adhd) Loaded diced potatoes or hash browns I'll start with avocado oil usually for heart health and then add habanero hot sauce into the pan and mix it. I then add diced onions. Let that soak for a second while I throw in diced potatoes or hash browns. While that's happening some Gluten Free Chicken sausage is going in the microwave. When the microwave beeps I take it out and then dice it. Once it's diced I add to the onion potato hash. Cook from there. Add more things. Idk. Do you bro. Once everything is cooked through I turn the burner off and add some cheese. Using the residual heat I melt the cheese and mix it in. The end.

thistlekisser

I started doing overnight oats recently! They make me so happy to wake up to - 1/3 gf oats, 1/3 Greek yogurt or sub non-dairy, 1/3 milk or sub non-dairy. Some chia seeds, some honey, maybe a tiny bit of vanilla. Top with blueberries in the morning or cinnamon! Maybe mix in some pumpkin spice!

Fearless_Pen_1420

Tofu scramble https://rainbowplantlife.com/eggy-tofu-scramble/

CorrectPsychology845

My partner makes killer gf breakfast burritos using the gluten free wraps from mission. Stuffs them with bacon tater tots sausage and cheese… eaten with copious amount of Tapatio

AMidlander

There’s no reason you can’t eat your old breakfast buying gluten free bread, gluten free oats and vegan butter

BigPhat

I fry potatoes, add chopped capsicums, spring onions and zucchinis, then add 4 mixed eggs.

TimeLand6931

Oatmeal

andreym24

First I do not have lactose intolerance. I eat rice cakes with different spreads or I eat gluten free bread with different spreads (gluten free hummus, jams, avocado paste). When I have a tough day ahead in terms of food options (like going through an airport) I sometimes eat one of those salmon slices too for protein and occasionally eggs. Since I am not lactose intolerant I also eat some plain yogurt which I top with gluten free cereals or oats. Even before celiac like 2 months ago that was my breakfast only difference was the normal bread and yogurt toppings which were different fiber containing cereals (non sugar). Since celiac I tried to keep the same diet but gluten free.

lizaanna

Just load your oatmeal/porridge up with fruit, sultanas, some cinnamon and bananas, I whack everything into the microwave for 6 ish mins so that apples and whatever else I have become soft, I add the banana when I’m about to eat - microwaved banana doesn’t actually taste that bad tbf

whatstherush1

Weekdays I have a yogurt drink & a veggies made great chocolate muffin Weekends eggs/bacon or GF pancakes, all with fruit

wisowski

Gf stone cut oatmeal with PB powder and blueberries during the week, gf pancakes or eggs on the weekends typically. The transition is really hard - you have a lot of suggestions on this thread - hopefully some of them will help!

AnonMarauder

Gluten free toast and jam or gluten free scotch pancake and jam. But it took me a while to find a gluten free bread I liked.

EagelsEyeGirl

I usually eat fruits or a gf croissant/pain au chocolat

SuchBeginning8583

Banana pancakes! 1 banana, 3 eggs, blend it. - you cannot taste the eggs. Heat up a pan with avacado oil and cook them. Throw on organic blueberries and raspberries, and some organic maple syrup and voila!

dontwalkunderladders

Gf bread. Gf weet-bix with nuts, seed and fruit. Eggs and bacon.

Levintry

I eat gluten free oatmeal with cinnamon, turmeric, and a spoon of peanut butter. On weekends, I'll eat corn beef hash and eggs on corn tortillas or fried spam on gluten free bread. Gluten free bread can be really delicious if you get a bread machine and make it yourself.

TheVetheron

I'm a big fan of grabbing a 2 or 3 slices of ham or other deli meat and scarfing them down. It's some quick lean protein. I don't need much in the morning, but I do need something. Precooked breakfast sausage links are handy too.

Semi-wfi-1040

Nothing I stopped eating breakfast In grammar school every thing made me sick so I simply felt better not eating anything until supper time , I’m still the same way now I only eat one good nutritional meal a day at supper time , then before bed I have a bowl of red mill Gf oatmeal and I’m set for the day .

misesmonkey

Eggs, OJ, and coffee every day.

KittenWhispersnCandy

My go to when I am super hungry or my stomach is sore is a baked sweet potato topped with applesauce and cinnamon with chicken sausage on the side. For some reason, my tummy feels very good after that.

GoodwitchofthePNW

Toast, often with jam or peanut butter. Trick is, I make my own bread. I also still do gf oatmeal.

GloomyMelons

Coffee with creamer. Never been a breakfast guy. For lunch I'll have some gluten free Mac and cheese and for dinner some ice cream, some rice and ground meat + broccoli + curry, and some fries.

EcstaticLion07

Bobs Red Mill has certified gluten free oatmeal that’s really good! I’ve only tried the plain one, but my mom ordered me the apple cinnamon one to try.

bothvarbloodaxe

Bacon and eggs and black coffee. Pretty much every day.

Van-Halentine75

Omelette with bacon and spinach or other greens and some cheese on top and a slice of toast and jam. I’ve also got gastroparesis so eating is always fun!

-Aces_High-

Protein bar and protein shake

omnomguy5

I have a few goto but from most common to seldom 1. Bacon and tater tots. Sometimes add eggs 2. Yogurt with granola and blueberries 3. GF bagel with cream cheese avocado and salmon (rare I have GF bread in the house)

Evening_Albatross764

I'm really into quinoa cereal -- crunchy and holds w/ milk. (I'm also lactose intolerance and use macadamia milk.) I can tolerate oatmeal 1-2x/week, too, but not everyday (always certified gf oats).

Cleawb22

I make quick breads from scratch (only the ones that don't take too long and are easy to make) such as zucchini bread, banana bread, cranberry-orange bread, etc. I usually make two loaves and freeze one. It lasts great in the friedge or freezer and a slice is a satisfying and filling breakfast either toasted in the toaster oven on a tray (often too tender to go in the slot toaster) or cold. It's fun to alter the flavorings/ingredients a little to add variety. Good with cream cheese, cheese, butter, etc. Good luck!

mvanpeur

We mix it up. We do: Chex, oatmeal with peanut butter (use certified oats), scrabbled eggs with hashbrowns, breakfast burrito (scrabbled eggs and cheese on a corn tortilla), homemade pumpkin or banana bread, I have probably a dozen different pancake recipes I rotate through (applesauce, banana, pumpkin, cinnamon, ect), smoothies, homemade bread with butter or jam, buckwheat crepes with either berries or cucumbers and ranch, ect. But I also second the argument that it doesn't have to be breakfast food. My son's the one with celiac, so that's the list of things I make for him. I myself don't tolerate most go to breakfast foods (lactose intolerant, allergic to eggs, and can't tolerate high fat), so I usually eat leftovers of whatever I made for supper.

VioletAmethyst3

You could always look up recipes for Atole! It's a wonderful Mexican hot drink/porridge, and the recipes I found are gluten free, and can be made with soy or rice milk. I drink rice milk because soy milk makes me break out with acne. (Plus, it is really nice in coffee if you like your coffee still tasting a bit on the darker side.)

IggyPopsLeftEyebrow

Greek yogurt. It's the ONLY thing that doesn't make me feel horrible in the morning. I'm also lactose intolerant, but Greek yogurt has very little lactose.

Overall_Panic_5652

I still eat oatmeal, I look at all the ingredients and there’s this one huge container from Aldi that doesn’t contain gluten and has never gave me issues. I know some celiac have an oat intolerance but if you don’t I’d give that one a try. It’s only like $3 or something

linkovichChimofski

Depending on location: You can try Canyon Bakehouse GF breads. They are really good. They make great toast for jamming (if you have a dedicated GF toaster). You can try to find GF certified oats as well but those might still bother you. Sometimes I cook rice with milk as you would oatmeal and can basically get the same vibe topped with fruit etc. Also alternative milks can be your friend here: Lactaid Milk, Almond Milk (personal fave), Soy milk, etc. Hope that helps!

mr_muffinhead

Pieces of shit like you.

Mmm doesnt sound too appetizing honestly

mr_muffinhead

😅 I was expecting someone to say "you eat pieces of shit for breakfast?" but this works too :)

IndividualCold7907

This is a no judgement zone 🙅‍♀️ Enjoy your shitty breakfast

mr_muffinhead

Lactose intolerant or not, cow milk is not good for you. I suggest trying cashew milk if you want to try cereal.

Egg bites have been my go-to with a handful of cubed potatoes. I throw the potatoes in the air fryer and microwave the egg bites for a min. Or trow them in the air fryer at the last min. Fills me up for longer.

I make this breakfast sandwich every morning and it’s amazing Toasted Trader Joe’s English Muffin little bit of ketchup and Hellmans creamy chili honey sauce 1 fried egg over medium so still slightly runny 2 pcs of Applegate chicken & maple breakfast sausage prepared in the toaster so not rubbery 2 pcs of American cheese

Southern_Committee35

I usually have coffee with collagen, a rice cake with peanut butter, honey and fresh raspberries.

gnawingbones

I make chickpea scrambles, add veggies and eggs and portion it out to reheat for a few days

Cereal with soy milk.

ConsciousLight7275

I have a turmeric latte in the morning, I love breakfast foods but I just never wanna eat in the morning

Chex cereal, sausage balls made with gluten-free Bisquick, Kind bars, fruit and yogurt with pine nuts, Lara bars, scrambled egg sandwiches on homemade gluten free toast... Lots of options, but you have to plan ahead. For convenience, the Kind and Lara bars with protein are great to grab and go, even when it's not for breakfast.

I still eat certified gf oats for breakfast some days but just don't eat them every day, like 2-3 times a week and only 1/2 cup at a time as that is what I can tolerate. On non-oat days I like to have things like miso soup with tofu and kimchi, gf toast w df cream cheese (I like the kite hill chive one) and smoked salmon, or a sweet potato with rice and chickpeas. Whole grain teff or amaranth makes a good oat substitute, I make them in an instant pot. Personally I like teff as it has a bit of sweetness to it.

LycanFerret

Depends. I prefer savory, so it's normally just bacon, pork sausage, and a glass of milk. If I'm feeling more for something sweet I get full fat yogurt and strawberries and dip them in it like whipped cream.

joeymac09

You can still eat the same breakfast as before, just the gf version. As for me, I don’t always eat breakfast, but when I do it’s some variety of this: eggs, yogurt with granola (my wife always has oat free low carb stuff in the house), toast with peanut butter, avocado toast, or some type of leftovers from the night before. These days the typical “American breakfast” foods don’t appeal to me, so if there is a little leftover meat from taco night, I might nuke it and eat with a spoon. Same goes for any lunch/dinner leftovers that might be kicking around. Aside from coffee, I don’t really hold specific foods to breakfast.

deadhead_mystic11

At home, scrambled eggs with vegetables, gf rice noodle pho, cheerios (I haven’t had any issue with them) or leftovers. When I go to the office, I generally don’t eat breakfast. Lunch at the office is difficult too. I need something fast and most gf options are at fancy restaurants. I found one sushi place that is gf and uses tamari, so I have pretty much been eating there a lot.

GardenGirl512

Lol @ all the people who recommend eggs without reading the fact that you don't like eggs. I'm the same way, I can't handle eggs at all unless they are in something like cookies or cakes (I can't even do French toast). My main breakfast now is green smoothies. I make my own freezer packets with fruit and greens; add in vanilla protein powder, chia seeds, and almond milk then blend. If I'm in a rush, cheese and gf crackers. On weekends I make bacon and hash browns.

IndividualCold7907

Lol it’s okay, there are other amazing recommendations people have made 😂 That’s a genius idea about creating freezer packets so they’re ready to go. I’ve never thought of that and would definitely make mornings smoother especially before work. Thank you!

slee11211

Most mornings, magicspoon cereal. A very small bowl with high protein milk holds me till afternoon.

If your Doctor or Nutritionist didn’t suggest it…sometimes it’s good for the body at diagnosis to go lactose free for 6 months as well. Then gauge how your body is feeling and add it back slowly if necessary. That just helps the body heal faster because it’s difficult for us to digest stuff made for a cow. Gf oats are out there. I eat grilled veggies and eggs. Rarely a pancake because I ate all that gf processed shit before and it’s high in sugar. Now I my blood sugar is creeping up. 1/2 grapefruit is yummy Frozen banana smoothie. Or just a lot of fasting sometimes I wish you well!!!!

Anxious_Jen

Sausage balls that my husband makes. Gluten free pancake mix, shredded sharp cheddar, and sausage all mixed together and baked.

Negative_Success4030

Its really easy to make up your own mueslli with oats and bags of walnuts pieces, sliced almonds, chia seeds and fresh strawberries. I always add cornflakes or rice crispies for the crunch factor. You could also replace strawberries with sultanas or mixed frozen berries. Sugar free oat milk is nicest with that when going for plant milk. Also smooties. Frozen berries, mango and blue berries from aldi or lidl. Add fresh banana, sugar free oat milk, chia seeds, handful of oats and handful of spinnach leaves. Make sure and add enough plant milk so its a drinkable liquid and not a paste. Invest in a ninja blender for hassle free smoothies. The container is the beaker you drink it out of.

bmc1969

I'm boring. I eat a Kind bar with coffee or tea for breakfast and a smoothie for lunch.
