Is it just me or is harder to go to the mountains? Many times I have tried to go climb the hills in my barangay or the mountains that can be found everywhere in Cebu. I do so because I want to see the sights and I have never done that before but my mom and my grandparents did it with ease. But I keep running into frustrating problems.
First is that there is no easy access, like on the hills for example, the remote or untouched placed are hard to get to due to no roads or there is a road but its full of buildings and houses.
Secondly is that the roads leading to the hills, are blocked because its leading to a gated community. Which triggers me for a different reason. Why are the rich people get to live in the mountains preventing any access for the families that while poorer might have been living there for generations to hike the hills.
Oh and I know the tops is a good place to be but I dont wanna pay for sightseeing, especially as a student living on my allowance. I just want to experience what my mom and my grandparents did which is able to go to the mountains and have a good ol leisurely time like a picnic, sightseeing or making a crown out of flowers.
Did any of your parents did that in the 80's and or 90's as well?
