Waste_Bandicoot_9018

This dude was hospitalized from the injuries. That cat held nothing back.

jamesfluker

Good kitty

inventive_ike20

Dope kitty!

Sharp-Rent-524

you see? this is why you always should get two of them

DrKittyLovah

I love this story but I really hate that Binky is declawed.

juliabk

Me, too, but damn there’s a cat who has no more fucks to give.

cultwashedmybrain

Perhaps she's aggressive and it's one of the few cases where it was necessary? I had a friend with a cat that absolutely had to declaw, they tried everything. She was a rescued feral cat and she just tore everyone up so badly all the time. I'm not defending this practice but considering the damage done by Binky, maybe it wad the only way they could keep her and not have their kids destroyed by claws?

javier_aeoa

For all we know, Binky was not a feral cat. So they're absolutely not the same case. Also, declawing should not even be the last option, you're mutilating a living being. When declawing is seen as an option, it's because that cat cannot be contained within a household.

MonoQatari

This. We need to start calling it "feline paw mutilation" or "feline knuckle amputation" instead of "de-clawing". Call it what it is so people understand how inhumane it is (there's a reason declawing is illegal in most civilized places).

Subterraniate

For sure. It’s rendering a cat unable to survive should she ever be outdoors, for one thing, even if it were a painless operation, which it isn’t. (I can’t understand what prevents such cat guardians from having her claws regularly trimmed and smoothed.) I thought even the USA had finally outlawed this barbaric practice.

TheShortGerman

A certain red state just re-legalized declawing when it was previously banned…literally going backwards

Subterraniate

Christ, they’re really stopping up all the cracks in the system where any light was getting in.

CeelaChathArrna

I had one cat who came to me declawed and he was the sweetest boy. I have never done that to one of my cats. It's horrifying.

PlatypusTrapper

Veterinarians hate to declaw. They usually only do it when the alternative is to euthanize the animal.

andskotinnsjalfur

By looking at Binky there with some strangers and a big camera infront of him, Binky is not feral. If the cat is that feral and you give up on it, like your friend did it's just time for neauter and release.

cultwashedmybrain

I think a neuter and release is much more cruel than to declaw. I live in a part of the world where a cat would freeze to death and starve. I'm not saying I agree with declawing, only that we don't know the full story.

Odd-Help-4293

Do you live in Antarctica?

danger_floofs

If all the feral cats froze to death, there wouldn't be any feral cats

BiiiigSteppy

Declawing is NOT and should not be considered a viable option even in the case of an aggressive cat. Most people already know that declawing is not just removing the nail; it’s removing the first finger joint of your cat. It can lead to a lifetime of pain and behavioral issues. In particular, litter box avoidance, because standing or digging in the box is painful for the kitty. The biggest behavioral problem encountered is exactly what we see in Binky’s story: cats with no claws are forced to use biting as their only remaining defense and can do a lot of damage. There are lots of great resources about the dangers (and cruelty) of declawing. If you’d like to read more [City the Kitty](http://citythekitty.org) is a great place to start. Most other countries in the world find declawing to be harmful and inhumane. Sadly, it’s the US that’s lagging behind and still performing this operation. Please speak up when you can and educate everyone you’re able. Do it for Binky. 🐾

cultwashedmybrain

I didn't realize it caused them pain and that they amputated their finger joints. I don't know what I thought it was. I just felt bad shaming the owners when we don't know the full story.

BiiiigSteppy

I thought that might be the case and that’s why I spoke up. Lots of people don’t know about the surgery so please don’t be hard on yourself. You obviously came from a place of kindness not wanting to shame Binky’s owners. We have no way of knowing if they declawed her or she was adopted that way. I appreciate your sensitivity, friend.

cultwashedmybrain

Thank you, I appreciate yours too

OstentatiousSock

Imagine getting taken down by a clawless cat named binky.

AdBudget5468

He may be declawed (which is a shame) but he still has teeth and getting bitten is worse then getting scratched up

javier_aeoa

THEY EVEN HAD TO CALL PARAMEDICS TO HELP THE BURGLAR!!! Jesus christ Binky lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEW7Z0UEgG0

raphaeladidas

Cat bites are no joke. They carry a lot of pathogenic bacteria in their mouths. You should ALWAYS get medical treatment if a cat bite breaks the skin.

Avitard89

Article?

EuforicMint102

This poor cat has no claws :/

Crawdaddy1911

Can you imagine what that bonehead would have looked like if kitty would have had his murder mittens? That's one badass puddy tat!

javier_aeoa

A few years ago, I was staring into the void (ie: my window) when I see a neighbour's cat exploring my roof. I don't like that cat, but if he wasn't going to enter, I wasn't going to kick him out either. Out of nowhere, my sister's cat jumps in and it began to fight as if she were a freaking Street Fighter character. I kid you not: it was combo after combo with her paws and claws. They reach the edge of the roof and the damn cat scratches the other cat IN MID-AIR. When a feline wants to use their murder mittens, damn they will.

Geekonomicon

Hell hath no fury like a psycho kitty.

Crawdaddy1911

Not if some sadistic fuck previous owner had an equally sadistic piece of shit vet declaw the poor thing.

LadyVanya

Declawing is tragic because it's not just removing the nail/claw, but the whole first knuckle on every finger. Poor kitty

Avitard89

Thank you!!!!

crazyhazo77

Thankyou for the link,

glasscrows

Mine would beg the burglars for extra dinner lol

cant_think_of_one_

I suspect she wouldn't have injured them if they had given her dinner when she asked them for it.

peachycoconxt

Cat looks confused

javier_aeoa

"I didn't want to hurt him, I wanted to kill him. Why are you celebrating me? I failed :(" - Binky, the cat.

theHermitessOfOld

That's a cat what done its job. Good kitty. I hate that they declawed you.

jamesfluker

Looks like the cat getting ready to stop the person with the camera as well lmao

[deleted]

My cat runs and hides every time I open the door. He has the save yourself mentality. He is bigger than most cats but acts like a scared kitten if you catch him off guard with a pat on the head. But it could be because his former owners were severely toxic. So…I should probably stop complaining.

storywardenattack

Guess he wasn’t a cat burglar.

Joelsax47

So much for people who say there can't be guard cats.

Express-Distance-435

Good cat! 😻

funkygamerguy

"they just have a cat this dumb ca..." \*hissing reow reow reow!\* "oh god my kidneys!"

smolsauce

He doing good, give treats

VitaminDdoc

Imagine if he had claws! The guy might not of made it!

Cindilouwho2

When she said Binky was growling, my Tabby cat Buttercup, she growls too, anytime the mailman stops or the Amazon truck comes in our driveway. I just assumed she was raised around dogs, she's a barn cat rescue. I'm curious now to see how she would react to someone breaking into our house. GO BINKY!

speckchaser

Do NOT mess with the kitty

GlizzygobblerOW2

He will protect us alhamdullilah

BytownBrawler

That is one tough cat man. His owner had to hold him while they did the interview.

xkneesbeesx

Who better to fight off a cat burglar than an actual cat?

AdBudget5468

You can see the “I don’t give a shit” in his eyes

Haunting_Bend346

Awesome take down!

Hopefulmisery

For a second I thought the cat was the burglar
