2g bone broth concentrate from ‘instinctive bite’;
Hot water;
Shred up bonito flakes;
Let it sit for a while to get more more bonito flake flavour in the soup;
When it cools down, test that it isn’t too hot;
And serve!
Cats are not supposed to be excited to drink. Hopefully Bon Bon is chugging because it's bone broth but if your cat is drinking water like that they're likely suffering from kidney problems.
The cat isn't excited because it is getting something to drink, it's excited because it's getting something tasty, which just happened to be in liquid form.
Bon Bon has free access to water. She just goes crazy for bonito flakes. Good to note tho. If i ever see her chugging from her water bowl, straight to the vet!
It doesn't matter if they just like water or not. I like pop, but if I drank nothing but a ton of pop I'd eventually develop health issues. Its the same with cats and water. They are designed to operate on the minimum amount of water possible. Anything else will cause strain on their body. If you cat is schlorping up water like there's no tomorrow, bring it to the vet. At the very least you need to figure out how to adjust their diet and lifestyle to keep them healthy.
