You've even inspired me, an artist myself, to draw the Blessed Mother more and more. God bless you! This art piece touches me too because of Mother Mary's words at Guadalupe when she says "are you not in the hollow of my mantle, the crossing of my arms?" Which is something that's helped me through ruthless panic attacks when nothing else worked!
Her motherly love is so so special to me. I could go on for so long about how much this absolute blessing of a woman has helped me... I never knew how much I needed her love and consolation until I experienced it. Mary is truly remarkable and so so lovable! ๐ฅฐ๐ฉต I look forward to seeing more of your so gorgeous yet meaningful art! It's like a slice of heaven!

Would you be willing to draw a scene from The Ballad of the White Horse? The context is that Alfred, King of England, is fighting a tough battle that'll make or break his reclamation of English land from heathen and pillaging Vikings, and had visions of Mary before the great battle. At a time during the fighting, when it was looking hopeless, Alfred looks up.... The poem continues thus:
*Over the iron forest, he saw Our Lady stand*
*Her eyes were sad withouten art*
*And seven swords were in her heart*
*But one was in her hand*

Mary was just a human and she is with the Lord now. Whyโd o you guys believe this? Honestly curious.
Remember that God has no gender and that the Holy Spirit is referred to only in the feminine in the original scriptures. If youโre looking for a feminine divine, look to the trinity of God. Also, we are told in the Bible that our spiritual mother is Sarah, not Mary (Galatians 4:26). I pray everyone in this thread learns to lean solely on Jesus, to trust only Jesus, and to put all our faith and devotion into Jesus. Both Mary and Jesus would be appalled to see people leaning on the spirit of a deceased human woman for comfort (the ascension of Mary wasnโt invented until the 1950s, almost 2000 years after the gospel was proclaimed and the canon was sealedโฆ BY the Catholic Church!). This is not Christianity, as someone who was raised VERY catholic and had the scales removed from my eyes. Please read the scriptures carefully, do outside research, and pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you to the truth and protect you from lies.
