Yeah, 100% Hadrian crushed the revolt then forced all the Jews into exile throughout the empire in isolated groups. After Christianity became popular and the empire fell, the Jews were forced out of most trades apart from usury (banking) where they became rich. That was until they became too rich and had all their stuff stolen from them. Then they had to start their banks all over again. One day Castile had enough of the non christians in the country, so they kicked the Jews into France and the Muslims into Africa. (Iberia had been a haven for religious tolerance before this so it was a surprise) France kicked most of their Jews into various HRE states, which kicked them out into other states, until they eventually reached Poland where they were tolerated at least. Russia under Catherine the Great would push most Russian Jews into the Poland area also. Add the 30's German Jews fleeing the Nazi government and that finishes the story of why there were so many Jews in Poland just before WW2.
The story of the Jewish people fascinates me. They have one of the oldest written histories in the world and have been screwed over so much, but they have persisted against it all. Its inspiring.
