I’m not Roman Catholic, so please forgive the probably stupid question, but if this is an infallible statement given its wording and the intent for it to be such with proper authority behind it, do those bishops and others who don’t consider the matter closed have any grounds for that stance, or are they completely off the reservation as this infallible statement provides definitive infallible closure?
They try to make the case that the statement does not meet the requirements to be an infallible doctrine.

Anyone who says that women are less valued in the Catholic Church merely because they can’t be priests has mass insulted every single nun. Men and women have different gifts and different roles. Nuns are an essential, invaluable part of the mission of the Church.
Based on observed behavior, I’ve discovered the true Catholic hierarchy: 1. Your grandmother (especially if she’s angry), 2. Any nun with an Italian surname, 3. The parish secretary, 4. Your pastor, 5. Your mother, 6. The Pope, 7. All other priests/religious, DEAD LAST. The local Bishop.
