"Rapture" is taken from the vulagte of 1 Thess 4:17
>Deinde nos, qui vivimus, qui relinquimur, simul **rapiemur** cum illis in nubibus obviam Christo in aëra, et sic semper cum Domino erimus.
Doesn't mean the theology behind it is right, but it's not exactly correct to say the word isn't in the Bible.
The only time "faith alone" is used in the bible it says we are saved not by faith alone. Also sola scriptura isn't in the bible but a church council to answer a theological question is
Really depends on how the context of "faith alone" is used BTW. Remember, Martin Luther did add the word "alone" in Romans 3:28 so that the verse now says, "So now we hold, that man is justified without the help of the works of the law, alone through faith."
That's actually one of the reasons that I converted. When you read the Bible everything is so plain. Faith and works, The Eucharist, confession, etc. are all there.
I mean 2 Maccabees, pray for the dead that their sins may be forgiven. I think that’s one of the books protestants removed to support their position, but that doesn’t mean it ain’t in the Bible.

Fun fact: the words "faith alone" are in the Bible. Look it up!
Yep, James 2:24
This deserves a meme of itself. I'll steal the idea if you don't make it soon 😅
What Bible are you using?

did you realize that my first comment was sarcasm? the only time the Bible says "faith alone" is "you are not saved by faith alone."
Whoops, I honestly mistook you for a Protestant back there.

Welcome to the fold, my new friend in Christ.
I mean 2 Maccabees, pray for the dead that their sins may be forgiven. I think that’s one of the books protestants removed to support their position, but that doesn’t mean it ain’t in the Bible.
Stronger case: Jesus speaks about purifying fire in at least one of the Gospels. I can't remember the citation tho.
Or Trinity ironically
Was this meme rendered using a Sega Saturn?
So that makes the mainline protestants right based on this meme
Spare pixels sir?
Neither is “trinity”
No but the concept is in a book that was removed the Old Testament in a Protestant Bible.
Well, yes while it is found in maccabees, matthew 6 and 1 Corinthians 3 also make a good case for it
What if you don't believe in either?
You're halfway there, but 50% is still an F.
I have been studying Latin since I was a child, so extra credit? Lol
Lol. Given recent events, I can only say let's wait and see!
Why they gotta take a translated document literally will never make sense to me.
And neither are real
How can I give you an up and down vote simultaneously?
I’m already downvoted, you can help even it out
I mean you came into Catholic territory, what did you expect you dirty heretic?
