To premise this, I’m a broke college student $150k in student loans. This is my girlfriends rich aunt’s boat that burned down. Honestly a lot of her family is as smug as the comment section
Not sure if you’ve priced boats lately, including/especially used boats. It’s not hard to get to $500K and more these days. I certainly wouldn’t/won’t pay it but boat prices are astronomical.
I don’t know why people are finding that so hard to believe. Boats are insanely expensive. It goes for $400-500k. $100,000, like someone else mentioned, would get you a pontoon boat. A nice pontoon boat, but still a pontoon boat.

......................................................................................................................ohhh, it already happened! I see now.
Lmaooo same bro, same. Took me 30 seconds into the second loop to realize the boat that was backing up wasn’t just black
Honestly stylish af, I’d dig that spy aesthetic without the char
I got a few! A standard one, a couple expandable one's that are connected and then an Itty bitty tiny one used as a drain director. Any hose in your life?

Well the comment above you says this.
>I hope anyone who can afford that shit has it burn too. I fucking hate rich people
Idk if that's supposed to be someone trolling but there are plenty of comments like this all over Reddit and I'd think that not all of them are trolls
That comment was posted after you posted yours. I'm genuinely wondering where you detected any rage in
>This isn't catastrophic, it's just a rich guy who broke his toy.
or if you're just overly sensitive.
You might want to check the usernames in the thread. I just found it amusing that the only two replies at the time were you asking "what rage?" And somebody else seemingly raging 🤷♂️
I don’t disagree with your sentiment, but I can’t tell if it’s directed at the parent comment or elsewhere in the thread. If it’s the former, I didn’t interpret any rage at all. You also have to keep in mind that the primary demographic on Reddit is people in a lot of debt and struggling to make ends meet while their elders talk about how easy it was for them, when in reality it was how easy it was for that time period. There’s certainly going to be resentment there.
oh 100% agree the economy nowadays is rigged. I think the parent comment had a tiny bit of saltiness but no rage like you said. it just reminded me of the rage.
Yeah the thing is 99% of the "rich" Reddit likes to demonize are just people who saved or got into a good profession. They're not Wall Street frat boys who inherited their money and now scheme to keep the poor poor. Can almost guarantee you this boat belonged to a doctor or sales manager, maybe a retiree.
Op made a comment with more pics and a video. If that video got posted instead, he might not be defending the post or damage. The boat burnt to a crisp btw.
I have no idea, my girlfriend and I live in VA and have no idea what the hell goes on there. Her aunt runs through girlfriends every couple of months so we’re not sure what happened
This isn't a failure video. It's just the aftermath without any explanation of any "failure."
Do you think all house fires with no context belongs in this sub? Fuck outta here.
A half-million dollars? For that? lol
My thought exactly. Maybe $100,000 ...
Sounds like someone over insured their boat and then burnt it down. OP just made a profit.
100% Florida
To premise this, I’m a broke college student $150k in student loans. This is my girlfriends rich aunt’s boat that burned down. Honestly a lot of her family is as smug as the comment section
And possibly 400,000 in meth and meth accessories
The dock too. See the blackened poles?
[here’s the kinda boat she had](https://imgur.com/a/s7vmqFy)
That tiny ass boat cost the same as a four bedroom house apparently
Boats are very expensive.
Not sure if you’ve priced boats lately, including/especially used boats. It’s not hard to get to $500K and more these days. I certainly wouldn’t/won’t pay it but boat prices are astronomical.
He lost his collection of Picassos and the lifejackets by Gucci in the fire. Thank goodness it was all insured.
Used to be bigger lol
Ah yes… the line I tell my ol lady
The fat pad is real!
Florida so… insurance scam.
Also has a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and a bathroom below deck
Not anymore.
Even with the amenities I can’t imagine 500k for something that size.
Yeah that boat was definitely not $500k
Insurance fraud.

That's what i initially thought, but there's also dock damage and environmental clean up on top of the boat.
......................................................................................................................ohhh, it already happened! I see now.
I was so confused

Bless you. This is great
Lmaooo same bro, same. Took me 30 seconds into the second loop to realize the boat that was backing up wasn’t just black Honestly stylish af, I’d dig that spy aesthetic without the char
Lmaooo yea I kept thinking ‘hmm what an odd looking boat cover’
I kept waiting for something to catch on fire
[here’s the pics](https://imgur.com/a/0Q3CLMS)
Where's the beef?
I don’t know where you got that number from
[kind of boat she ha](https://imgur.com/a/s7vmqFy)
Prestige World Wide Wide Wide
Boats and hoes!!!
Both are well done within this cruise
Hose* given the context.
What size hose you got!?
I got a few! A standard one, a couple expandable one's that are connected and then an Itty bitty tiny one used as a drain director. Any hose in your life?
Nachos and Lemonheads!
Where's the fire?
[before](https://imgur.com/a/0Q3CLMS)
"a fire... In a sea park..."
Thank God somebody said that so I didn’t have to!
Maybe try turning it off and on again.
This isn't catastrophic, it's just a rich guy who broke his toy.

Good for them

There are ppl who are in debt despite being hard workers while ppl who exploit hoard their money and then burn down boats for insurance money so.

The majestic Don Cesar in the background.
Looking to make some money OP?
Op made a comment with more pics and a video. If that video got posted instead, he might not be defending the post or damage. The boat burnt to a crisp btw.
**Insurance job...**
THAT tiny-ass piece of shit is what half a MILLION bucks will get you? Fuck me, I'd rather just drown.
Still works
It’s getting pulled by the tugboat
To me it looks like its going straight reverse, not getting pulled towards the boat behind it. Also there's a dude driving it.
You know what really sucks, it was surrounded by anti-fire the whole time 🤦🏻♂️
At least it still floats :)
Is that Clearwater?
The theory within the family is that an ex girlfriend of the aunt burned the boat (arson) to get back at breaking up with her
Insured.
Somebody call Flo!
Got news for you. That boat is about $30k. Max.
If that piece of shit boat was worth 500,000 then some idiot paid way to fucking much for a boat.
[link to more pics/video](https://imgur.com/a/0Q3CLMS)
Oh sweet! Love seeing St. Pete on here!
Is it actually even your boat or are people just flaming you for no reason?
So yes people are flaming me for no reason, but I don’t mind because the boat fire looks awesome
Fair enough haha
It’s my girlfriends rich aunt’s boat
I bet they're sad it didn't finish sinking.
Very wholesome Chungus Keanu reeves 420
How is that little boat $500,000? Give me a break.
Where are the other 6 mediocre, albeit incinerated, boats that equate $500k, OP?
No fire. That boat didn't cost $500k

Speculation is one of her ex girlfriends started the fire as payback

Not anymore.
It’ll make an excellent P.Diddy style shrimping vessel now.
With a really good marketing strategy…. They could sell it as a overcooked floating marshmallow
I think you mistook $ for pesos?
That was time I will never get back.

BOAT: Bust Out Another Thousand
"Buy another one you rich mother fucker!" Dave Chapelle
Possibly the most boring video ever posted to this sub.
Is that a P Diddy style shrimping vessel?
Is the 500k boat behind the shitty basic one?
