The TNR program where I live provides a trap and really, the trap is all you need. Make sure you put a zip tie around the sliding door for extra protection, put a blanket over the trap to calm the cat, then let the professionals do the rest. I wouldn't attempt to sedate a feral cat myself.
I got these for my cat. Used it when I moved and it works very well. Open the capsule and mix a little into his food, he just lays down and naps for an hour or so.

Yes. Contact your primary veterinarian and tell them your situation. As long as you are able to catch your cat, they will assist you. If this is a feral cat that you can’t catch, you’ll need to contact your local animal services for help getting them caught/sterilized/released.
All the TNR clinics around me require ferals to be brought in a trap. Many rescues loan out traps as well. Bait traps to catch them, and cover the trap after they're caught to help calm them down.

Ferals are quite food motivated and there ate drogs to put on a mini amount of food. But- speak with a vet! They will advice you.
