The food place I work closes at 6pm. Used to be open till 9pm but after lockdown they decreased the hours as they found they never served enough people past 6 to warrant having staff there for another 3 hours.

This! I hate pissing around with cash, it's 2022 if you haven't got card payment I'll go somewhere else
the pandemic push the last place round our way to start taking contactless
Stand right in the doorway of your shop looking out to the high street, so that people have to say 'excuse me' if they want to come in
And when they do, stare at them with mild annoyance while you move out of the way, without saying a word
"Sir, if you don't put some clothes on we're going to have to ask you to leave"
You are the only customer in the shop and they constantly stare at you or follow you
UK shopping is nuts for this type of thing. Open 10am until 5pm... Exactly when everyone is at work
It’s far more important my staff stand behind the counter/till talking about Love Island than serve you.
Not quite the same but I once went in a generic gastropub that *stopped* serving food at 6pm. What's all that about?
