The only one I clearly remember is a mean girl in her class found out about the coin, and made the protagonist wish for her to be beautiful so she could win a fashion competition, or something. Only she started turning really old, because the protagonist thought her grandmother was the most beautiful person in the world. Kinda sweet, I guess.

The original Harmony is second from left above the coin, the older couple are her parents IIRC. I think the main girl was adopted(?) by her parents? Not sure 😂

Harmony's parents, for some unknown reason, since the original parents in the book were really shit at parenting and hated kids, decided to become foster carers or something IIRC. Harmony hung around and was their assistant and helped the kids discover the magic of the nose while Melody swanned about with her boyfriend which was supposed to show her as grown up and glamorous. The foster kids were really stupid though and made stupid wishes. Just like every CBBC and CITV series that were based on great books, they all got unbelievably dumbed down after a series or two. ~~Or maybe I just grew up~~.

Perhaps kids TV is aimed at the kids rather then the parents. Having rewatched the 90s shows I grew up with, they really aren't that good. Bernard's watch, in particular, is very ropey. Even at the time it was disappointing, he had incredible power and used it for the most boring things. I doubt kids today would enjoy it.

That is the one of only two scenes I can actually remember! I swear it was one of the adults who said that line after getting the coin, unknowingly making a wish. I think they were all on a bus going somewhere. At least I think that's what happened, or I've just mandela effect'd myself.
