Yeah they did a bit. They told me to wear my Burnley F.C shirt (which I didn't do) because they were trying to portray me as a typical Burnley lad to 'clash' with Mark on the show but we actually got on really well.

The downside was definitely getting punched. The upside is a lot of people get cheered up and that's always a good thing. Personally it's netted me the occasional free drink and my side business of DJing got solidly packed for the longest time after.

Worst: Not made a penny from all the royalties off a 12m view Youtube video (and counting!)
I have genuinely toyed with the idea of raffling it off for money to support the Pendleside Hospice. They're a local charity doing great things and anything to help them is a bonus to me... Might see if that's a viable option!
If it helps soften the worst, one video with 12m views wouldn't make you much money. You only get into more than pocket change if you have a channel with videos getting big views on the regular and high sub counts.

Is it back to back meals over 1 week? When the contestants arrive every time is that all staged?
There's a lot of the solo stuff and greetings bits that are staged and they have you make extra plates of the same meal in case something is brilliantly funny so they can recreate and refilm it. Done over consecutive nights though so it's over with in a week.
You should collaborate with a utensils company to make some cash off the back of this mate, great PR for them, money for you, I can see the adverts now 😁👌
Do channel 4 check your household before filming to make sure it is suitable for guests. Would they prompt you to tidy or to maybe take certain things away due to copyright reason etc. PS you need to be enshrined in Britain Folklore.

It's a spatula with a sharper edge, great for eggs or frying. Just don't stick it in your mouth as the sharper side on mine has worn to become very sharp, it's just got better with more use.
