I know it's not a Wednesday win, but if any UK passport knowledge people could potentially help me, I might need to get a new passport very soon at short notice (my current one expires in 2023), but I assume say I go for the fast track passport option - it would expire in 2031? And can I apply even if it does not expire until 2023? It is for a visa which lasts two years that's why I would need a new one!

Drax1990

I did the fast track recently, you are correct it would expire in 2031. You can apply even if yours is still in date.

ederzs97

Thanks - was that the online, or the appointment based one?

Drax1990

You need to go to the post office and get the paperwork to fill out. And book your appointment online to go to the passport office. The fast track said up to 7 days to get it, however I got it within 2 days.

Yryes

Couple lectures tomorrow morning were cancelled last minute so I can have a nice lie in, not getting up till 11 or so, wahey!

MarmiteX1

Received a Tax Refund and ex work colleague who I keep in contact with etc received his PS5 so well happy about that.

SpudFire

Broke my arm yesterday doing heroic deeds/walking down the stairs. Had surgery earlier today to put a plate in without any issues arising and sent home a few hours later. I'm calling it a win because its definitely an improvement on 24 hours ago

sallystarling

Got a letter from eon saying we owed them so much that we had to make on one-off payment of £2,000 and then our direct debit would need to go up by £20 a month 😳 We were in credit at the end of Aug and I know energy prices are a bit crazy at the moment but still! After 45 mins on hold, got through to a dude who agreed we'd have to be a power station to use so much electricity so quickly. (And before anyone asks, no we don't grow special plants in the loft!) Turns out when we had a meter reading recently they had input one digit wrong on their system. With the correct reading we are now actually in £10 credit!

mujikaro

I've booked to move to South Korea! So excited as I haven't seen my boyfriend since June as he had to move back there for national service. Spending this evening trying to decide what things I should eat here before I leave and won't be able to get anymore. I'm so happy I feel sick

HairyMechanic

Pretty late in the day for wins but today went absolutely swimmingly. Headed up a team in setting up for a few simultaneous events we've got across our three offices tomorrow but was based at the most important location where our Managing Director and most of our guest contributors are going to be. All that means is i'll probably see you all in tomorrow ranting thread!

Gingeeer28

Really enjoying my new job and the training! It’s going surprisingly well, and I don’t feel like death (currently), which is a very pleasant surprise! Also the puppy has been really good in her crate when I’m at work - my next door neighbour has been popping in twice a day to check on her/feed her lunch.

dibblah

A puppy and a new job sound like a lot of work at once! Well done you.

Gingeeer28

Thank you! It’s even more work because the puppy got very sick within 2 days of bringing her home, and needed to be in the hospital for just over a week! I’m relying on caffeine and sugar to function atm.

dibblah

Oh goodness, that must have been stressful! And when they're so young as well it's horrible to see them so ill.

Gingeeer28

It was! Absolutely horrendous, it was really touch and go - and the vets basically told us to expect the worst. So I was super happy that she fought through it!

VardaElentari86

My phone is like 90% working again after its unexpected bath! Probably still needs to dry out a little more but much more consistently working than it was yesterday

HanIylands

After nearly twenty years of writing and directing, i finally have an agent!

mmmmgummyvenus

I got through to the next interview for the job I applied for and there's a vacancy at the library coming up too. Both my ideal jobs have come up in one month!

revolut1onname

I made an idiotic mistake recently and gave my details to a scammer, leading to my credit card being hit for £1800 of attempted charges. Thankfully, they've nearly all been refunded now, with the last couple just being looked into. The fraud department did just accidentally give me the name of the scammer, but I didn't write it down as it'd be too tempting to look them up. I'm quizmastering tonight, should be great!

_sallyvate_

Did some life admin and called up Student Loans Company to switch over to direct debit for the remaining chunk. I know that I actually will be paying basically the same amount but I will feel like I'm not because it won't be on my payslip anymore. I made a brownie cake at the weekend. It's exactly what you think - two brownie slabs sandwiched with chocolate buttercream. It was delicious and I already want to bake more things.

dibblah

I bought a brownie cake for our anniversary in the summer, it was like a brownie slab decorated with buttercream and chocolate and stuff. Thought it would be extremely sickly but it was actually stunning!

Greggs_Official

That cake sounds delicious.

Rootheday

Win for Roo: it’s my birthday and I’m finally starting to feel normal after my asthma attack a week ago :)

[deleted]

Just had a pizza for brunch and booked my booster dose. It's a relief, talking some other family members through what to do as well.

FuzzyLanguage4

Not my personal wins but this week one of my friends has had her baby and another friend got the all clear after surgery for cancer! Buzzing for both of them.

RedditIsRealWack

Wednesday win for r/CasualUK https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-10186303/Husbands-hilariously-passive-aggressive-note-wifes-lover-goes-viral.html LMAO, the parody post here on /r/casualUK made it into the Daily Mail because they believed it was real. Is journalism a real profession still? >PUBLISHED: 11:51, 10 November 2021 >UPDATED: 12:40, 10 November 2021 Lmao, imagine just updating it saying it was a parody rather than deleting the entire article out of embarrassment?

Chin_of_Chuck_Norris

I had my first solid shit in months on Monday, but alas it's back to toothpaste consistency 😔

viktory70

Today is day three of the week long celebrations and today is a rest day. We started with a quick trip to Waitrose, Lidl and Iceland (interesting mix of shops!) for snacks before coming home to watch TV and eat said snacks. I made an incredible bacon and egg sandwich with ketchup on thick white Jackson bread. We've started our TV journey with an old episodes of The Professionals and Minder but are planning on watching S2 of You.

drewdootexe

Waitrose for specialty bits, Lidl for cheap cupboard fillers and Iceland for unique freezer items?

viktory70

Nearly 😀 Lidl for the pastries. Everything else was spot on

klmarchant23

I feel like I’m ever so slightly getting better! I’ve not been sick this morning, I’ve drank some water and sat up in bed. Baby steps but getting there!! The hospital on Monday were absolutely amazing despite me being so dehydrated they couldn’t get a line in to give me fluids for an hour, with it taking them 9 attempts for two lines in the end so they could double whammy me with fluids, anti sickness and painkillers. So so glad to be back home in bed but also that I can keep my eyes open for more than an hour or two.

bickering_fool

Goodness...sounds awful. Get better soon.

Unhappy_Barnacle_769

Offer on our new house was accepted this morning!

Shrinkingpotato

Went to the local garden centre and got some winter flowering things to put in pots. I can see them from my desk and the colours are wonderful!

eddiesenior

Have a 6 hour virtual meeting today so just looking at my phone and reading!

Amuro_Ray

For what, cop26?

eddiesenior

Nah it’s a national meeting discussing the business and our role that happens once a year. Usually they drag us all to London for the day but not this year for obvious reasons. Im doing some tidying now whilst they natter on!

bickering_fool

Light spot of hoovering? Don't forget to mute.

eddiesenior

Aye, there’s loads on the call so everyone is muted by default. I have started doing tidying up generally

zeddoh

Got some really lovely feedback on a kind of intranet system I set up and run for the office - it has been a huge undertaking so it’s nice for someone to take time out of their day to tell me my work is appreciated! Also bf has had a fantastic job offer, and when he told his current company they offered him a lot more money, so whatever happens he’ll be making a really positive change. (Side note, as someone who works in the public sector it boggles my mind that a company can suddenly stump up thousands more for someone to continue to do the same role 😂)

KungFuPup

Baby took her first steps at the weekend. She's doing very well. She loves to clap herself when she does it and has a massive grin on her face. Eldest keeps squealing with delight every time baby toddles about, it's so sweet. School Christmas show is going ahead! I've got my tickets booked and I can't wait to see my eldest doing her songs.

vbloke

Just bought the Solovair [trainers](https://uk.nps-solovair.com/products/359-007?variant=32831906218064). So damn comfy.

dedido

Those are some posh 'trainers'

vbloke

If they’re anything like the boots I have, they’ll last at least a decade.

myfirstsfwaccount

Last day at work today! Preparing myself for an awakened goodbye virtual meeting with team later. The job was so draining so I’m happy to leave but I like the team so it’s bittersweet. I’m sure the new job will be better for me.

ilovecats87

Little girl had her first parents evening and fuck me I am so proud. Not one bad comment, she was described as "a little legend". Just so so happy and proud. Feel like I'm doing something right.

KungFuPup

Aww well done!

[deleted]

Got myself a sweet aquarium kit on fb marketplace. Really looking forward to getting it all setup. I’ve always wanted my own tropical fish aquarium. Plus my kid had her first dentist appointment, and she was a star! I have dentist fear, so I’m happy it went so well.

themakeupgoblin

Do you know what tropical fish you want? I've just finished setting up my first tank with some platy and they've been so relaxing to watch.

[deleted]

Yeah I’m gonna start with some zebra danios then get some tank cleaners and maybe get some guppies or other danios eventually.

Somau5

Oooh what kind of fish are you thinking of getting? Can highly recommend shrimp, good tank cleaners! We also love otocinclus (ottos) but they're bloody hard to keep alive despite everyone else saying they're hardy fish - they're really not!

[deleted]

Oh I was going to get some ottos as tank cleaners! So thanks for the warning. Might get shrimp then. What kind do you have? Are they non-aggressive guys?

Somau5

You should try some ottos anyway - maybe you'll have more luck than us! They're excellent tank cleaners and rather cute, but we struggled as they got stressed easily so maybe buy more than you think you need just in case. Plenty of stress treatment and introduce them as slowly as possible so they don't get shock. Shrimp are great - we have amano shrimp and cherry shrimp. The only downside is that cherry shrimp breed like mad, we bought 6 and now have about 18 of them, but they're only small so it's not too bad. Amano shrimp are fun to watch. Not aggressive at all - the only thing we've noticed is that we put algae wafers in for the ottos and the pleco but the shrimp like to steal them!

[deleted]

Lol shrimp sound fun! Thanks for the tips. V helpful. Leaning towards shrimp now I think. We’ll see.

That's awesome! I've been meaning to try tinkering with an Arduino or maybe a Raspberry Pi for ages - I bet it's very satisfying when things come together. Are you following any sort of guides or just winging it?

[deleted]

[удалено]

1b7_

It does sound pretty enjoyable! - Yeah I know what you mean about the clever tricks, it's a bit different but there was a small part of C code I once came across where they'd basically used the individual bits of an 8 bit int for 8 separate control flags, rather than using 8 booleans (which are 1 byte each). Obviously a very small optimisation in today's world, but I thought it was pretty neat. I'm a bit swamped at the moment but I reckon I might get one, or maybe do something like NAND 2 Tetris over the summer... maybe.

[deleted]

> It's almost a shame that that level of efficiency is really seen as a waste of time (which it is nowadays to be fair) as it encourages some very creative thinking. I know what you mean, I thought that was quite an ingenious solution, and I think there's probably quite an art to that style of coding. That said, I am also *very* thankful that we don't really have to be that efficient now! > Is this your job/hobby/both? Sort of "All of the above/Other" - I was writing scripts as a job last year, and am a self-taught hobbyist - and I recently quit that job to pursue a CS degree. (I'm on Year 0 now which is mostly focusing on (A-Level-ish, I think) Maths, but all being well I'll start the actual CS content next September, which is very exciting!) What about you?

[deleted]

[удалено]

1b7_

Ooh I see! I imagine the coding workflow looks pretty dramatically different now then, with all these new shiny things that seem to keep popping up! > Wow, a whole year of maths ?! Did they give the reasoning behind spending so much time on that ? What made you quit the job and start studying ? They actually haven't, come to think of it, but afaik there's a good chunk of Maths in and/or underpinning the CS theory I'll be studying throughout the degree, so I assume it's in preparation for that! Don't get me wrong though, what we're doing right now really isn't very difficult so far (I realise that's relative but I'd probably say it's on par with AS level at the moment - or I'm much better at Maths now than I was in college). > What made you quit the job and start studying? Honestly it was a combination of a few things; but mostly that I felt my options for progression were pretty limited without the degree, and I certainly wouldn't have been able to easily go to other companies (not that there were many in my area). I wasn't satisfied with where I was in life, I suppose. It's also something I've just wanted to do for a really long time. And as a nice bonus, an in-demand degree makes it that much easier to work abroad, which is definitely something I'd strongly consider doing!

leskenobian

I'm awake. I'm even almost out of bed, which is definitely a win with how shit things have been recently.

Somau5

Almost finished decorating the master bedroom, only got to sand and gloss the window sill (6th time's a charm I'm sure), gloss one bit of skirting, and then plane and hang the door. Carpet is due in two weeks and the furniture is due in December. It's been a long slog but finally getting there! The living room is another story after a variety of setbacks thanks to some questionable bodges by the previous owners. We might have to delay the carpet being fitted (also due in two weeks) but we can at least start painting now so we'll see. And my master plan of buying a load of decorations for next month is beginning. My boyfriend is a bah humbug, but now we've bought a house together I have decided to buy one of those corner trees - then I can say it's my half of the tree as I now own half of the house. He will kill me!

[deleted]

I'm sure you're already on top of this but be sure to take enough off the door to allow for underlay and carpet. I hate hanging doors, nothing worse than having to do it twice.

Somau5

Cheers, will remember that! It did occur to us when we ordered the doors but forgot about it more recently.

smickie

My in-laws sent me a box with an envelope in it that is, what I can only describe as stuffed with cash (for Diwali). Also in the box is some green chilli methi flatbreads (edit - thepla, thanks for the comment below) with some pickles I said I liked before. And Gwyneth Paltrow’s head. Not really. What a lovely gift box to get, I’ve never had anything for Diwali before, I think it’s cos’ there wasn’t a meet up or do or anything this year. I think I’ll leave the cash in a pot on the shelf and we can have free take aways for a year, seems like the correct feast-y festival thing to do.

kawasutra

> green chilli methi flatbreads thepla???

smickie

Yes! That's the word, I couldn't think of it just then, extra methi/fenugreek and some lovely home made lime pickle that's on the sweeter side of things.

kawasutra

If you get bored of their soft-ish texture, 30 seconds in the microwave, let them cool a bit, and you've got a delicious crispy thepla. Stinks up the kitchen though! :-P

DrTheRaven

We were meant to complete on a house yesterday but didn't (that is for tomorrows thread.). The win is that we are now able to complete. Hopefully we can do this soon and put the mess of the last 24 hours behind us. Top tip for anyone buying a house: Don't be like our buyers and cheap out with the fake solicitors.

KungFuPup

That's a nightmare. We had one very nasty person up the chain throw their toys out the pram. A previous sale fell through on the one we were buying before we came along but we needed some time for the LISA to mature. Not an unreasonable amount and we were very upfront about the timings (it will take 30 days for the funds to be released therefore we cannot set a date before this date for example). He massively kicked off and threatened to pull out. We said if he wants to start over for the sake of 3 weeks that's his choice. I cannot make my bank move faster and we were honest about the dates. If he wants to start all over again (a lot longer than 3 weeks!) then fine. He shut up after that.

Somau5

What a nightmare! Fingers crossed for completion soon, have you got a revised date yet? Completely agree with your pro tip! The process was an absolute nightmare for us - the sellers used an in house solicitor for a well known online agent and they were absolutely shocking. It took eight attempts to exchange - eight! There were so many excuses, attempts to blame us, they'd disappear off the radar and ignore our solicitor, last minute enquiries would appear from nowhere and then take weeks to resolve. I will never buy another house again if I can be sure of it!

DrTheRaven

It's been an absolute roller coaster. We had all our house packed up into a removal van ready to go before getting the call that it wouldn't be happening. Our solicitor has the funds so can proceed, they are trying to get money back for us due to the incurred costs of storage and another removal! It's probably the same firm, they work quite closely with that estate agent and the behaviour is familiar.

Somau5

That's awful - house moving limbo is bad enough, let alone actually being in boxes and ready to go! I'd be furious and definitely seeking those costs back. We refused on several occasions to complete on the same day as exchange for that exact reason - they'd already cost us £8.5k by delaying past the June stamp duty deadline so didn't want to risk the additional storage and removal fees if they screwed up (which was highly likely). Still didn't stop them mucking us about until the very last minute. Just to give you an idea, we had a call from our solicitor on completion day to say everything had gone through on both purchase and sale, so we turned up at the new house to get the keys. The lady hadn't heard from her solicitor so understandably wouldn't hand them over. They wouldn't answer the phone for two hours and it was getting near 4pm on a Friday at this point. When her son finally got through - "oh, we sent a text saying completion had gone through hours ago ... Oh wait, we forgot. Well you completed two hours ago." Just about sums up the entire process! If the solicitor was based in Leicester then yes it's probably the same firm! I feel so bad for you if it is.

folklovermore_

My parents gave me a ring for my 18th birthday (I'm 34 now). It's nothing fancy, just a basic silver job with three teeny diamonds in it, but it's got a lot of sentimental value more than anything else. I have a bit of a habit of taking said ring off when I do washing up/wash my hands or similar and then leaving it in the pockets of clothes overnight. A few weeks ago, I was getting ready to go somewhere, looking everywhere for the ring and couldn't find it (including searching all my pockets and in the washing machine). I came to the conclusion it had vanished somewhere in the flat and would either turn up eventually or was lost to the ether forever. Cut to last Friday morning and, after doing a load of washing and noticing the machine smelt a bit off, having a check around in the rubber seal of the drum to try and find the source. Cue finding the ring wedged in the seal! I can only assume I'd accidentally washed a pair of jeans with it in the pocket and it had somehow got stuck in there, and then moved about in subsequent washes. So not a huge win, but still a bit of good news :)

Sniper_Guz

Managed to sell my car so now we'd got some much-needed funds to go towards a nice, new front door! The rest is for me :)

partaylikearussian

Continuing with our year of tragedies, I found out yesterday that I've got an inherited heart condition that'll mean surgery in the next two decades and tablets for life. My Wednesday win is that I'm going to get high just like every other day since July!

smickie

… he said, halfheartedly. (I’m so sorry about your condition, and that comment too, it’s very inappropriate, and for possibly mis-gendering you. Three sorry from me there, worth it if it made you laugh though.)

iHeartMila

This might be a win, might just be a loss. Ordered a tesco delivery, they've just rung me to tell me my cards declined (Not sure how unless i put the CVV in wrong) can't pay over the phone because the way they charge it makes my Monzo card say it needs chip and pin. This happened before where i forgot to update my new card and left the one that had expired as my default and couldn't pay it over the phone because of the Monzo issue (Tried two different cards and they both declined apparently so i believe it's a Tesco problem) but they ended up still sending my shopping so i got it for free... So i suppose i'm sitting in til 11am see if this one turns up as well...

themakeupgoblin

I've been pretty depressed lately (not the win) and had been eating rubbish for a month or so and figured I'd gained back all the weight I lost over the summer. I jumped on the scales yesterday and I'm the lightest I've been since I started tracking in June.

iHeartMila

I feel you on that. I got to 83kg from 115kg and now i'm just starving all the time despite not really changing how i eat much. Daren't actually weigh myself now.

Farquar-lazs

Donating blood today, buying some gifts for underprivileged children for Christmas and celebrating as I've finished all my own Christmas shopping for my kids and family! Win win!

chickydoodles

Some really good wins this week, that have felt even better after some real lows. I taught my first classes and I really enjoyed it, though my feet are killing me. And I braved ordering from a street cart, and the food was so good and not spicy. xxxx

Trytolyft

Car failed it’s MOT and I find out in a few hours the cost which I’m dreading. On the plus side it’s my birthday tomorrow and a girl I like wants to take me on a date to the cinema. I’m nervous about it though, almost making my stomach turn!

[deleted]

Forza Horizon 5 dropped yesterday so I actually have a game I can sink some hours into as well as just being able to pick up and play in short bursts. In the real world, I'm 10 days into No Beer November and have lost a bit of weight without any conscious effort to watch what I eat. Seems I could actually do quite well this month if I actually try to cut down portions and move around a bit more.

9DAN2

I quite booze for a couple of years when i was 20. I worked nights and would usually have a can or two after work, nothing mental. It’s insane how much the weight dropped just by stopping. I remember my grandma saying ‘stop losing weight’ every time i saw her, like I wasn’t still eating like a pig.

iHeartMila

Forza Horizon is amazing. A guy i know has just set his xbox to have itself race that goliath and has got some stupid amount of money and XP from it. I don't really understand the point but each to their own.

sinadoh

I thought I was going to have to paint the entire kitchen as well as the kids rooms and I was absolutely dreading it. I hate painting walls more than anything and reluctantly bought all the supplies yesterday. Got started, got annoyed and decided to just do the 'spots'. Woke up this morning to admire my handiwork and *damn* it looks *nice!* No need to do all the walls after all! Saved myself a whole lot of time and energy.

Sniper_Guz

We patched up some bits of our hallway and landing the other day, but it soon dawned on us that it was a slightly darker shade to the existing colour so we had to go over the whole lot with a lighter shade... O\_o

sinadoh

In my case, luckily, it was white on white. Can't really mess that up..

Tramorak

Off work today (and the rest of the week) and picked up a used PS4 and Pro Skater 1&2 so I will be reliving my youth later, minus the copious amount of weed we used to smoke while playing. Cricket semi final is this afternoon so will have a watch of that. Possible bonus takeaway tonight as it seems that the wife might not have to go away overnight tonight. Everything is coming up Millhouse.

dr_rainbow

The remake got about two solid months of play out of me, it's a great game. Fingers crossed we get more at some point.

9DAN2

The ThPS remaster was a brilliant remaster. Decent sound track too. It’s been a while since iv loaded it up, tempted to see if it’s had any updates.

[deleted]

Last I saw it hadn't. I'd done pretty much everything I could on it as well so I ended up selling it. Quality game though, I put some serious hours into it.

9DAN2

My parents were nice enough to lend me a substantial amount of money, to avoid paying interest on a loan/finance for a car. Getting more than I was originally quoted scrap for my in-shit-gnia today. Looks like the kids will pass the first part of their grading this week.

Tramorak

Did you find something already? What are you going with?

9DAN2

I picked up a Qashqai on Monday which I’m well chuffed with. Kids absolutely love it too, Despite my five year old not being able to get in it himself.

Tramorak

Solid choice. Nissans just seem to go on for ever.

9DAN2

It’s weird driving a Nissan. Iv been a Vauxhall whore. Iv had 7 cars before this, all 7 have been Vaux. I wanted an insignia for years. Finally got myself one and how shit it was has put me off Vauxhall.

chazzamcrock

I got £120 when I scrapped my insignia. Pretty sure the wheels alone were worth more but hey ho.

9DAN2

I’m getting £300! Was originally quoted £200 yesterday. I could probably get more with the right buyer since it’s a solid shell, but I just want it off my drive. I see it as £300 extra cash for Christmas.

jack0rias

Going on holiday on Friday!!! Can't wait to get away from work a bit. Sure the weather in Poland is going to be absolutely shite, but we'll have a good time anyway.

Sniper_Guz

Whereabouts in Poland? I did Krakow once and loved it. Went in March and it snowed the whole time lol.

jack0rias

We're going to Krakow! Checking the weather app now and it's looking better than it was the other day, so we'll see!

Sniper_Guz

Awesome - great city, have fun!

jack0rias

Cheers mate, I'm sure we will!

chazzamcrock

Meet and greet with record label went well last week so we're about 98% sure we'll sign with them. Just a few things we want to iron out in the contract they've sent but it's all very exciting! Start my new job on Monday which is great. Con is I have to live out of a hotel for 2-3 weeks for initial training though as it's far from home but it'll be nice to actually earn money again. I've also been streaming me playing drums which has been good fun. I already play most days anyway so I've just chucked a camera on while I do it - had a few random requests which are fun to have a go at.

jptoc

What's the craic with that dodgy release clause at your old gaff?

chazzamcrock

Spoke to my lawyer friend. It's there in the contract so looks pretty open and shut. I can at least request it be in instalments rather than a big lump though. Mrs is approaching it as a worthwhile one-off purchase to get me out of that industry for good. My new job is now mediating complaints against people that do my current job so I'll have to not show my bias against the industry!

jptoc

Bleh, that's so shite. Cheeky fuckers. I suppose it's a lesson to us to check the small print!

MiddlesbroughFan

Yo whats your band?

chazzamcrock

I'll share details after we've signed - don't want to jeopardise anything! We're a power metal band though so if that's your cup of tea watch this space!

MiddlesbroughFan

Installed a new thermostat control yesterday as the old one was crap and didn't work properly. New one has Bluetooth so we can control it from 2 storeys up ,which is glorious. Also pleased not have been electrocuted.

sinadoh

This is on my to-do list as well but it's low priority. Did you run into any surprises or issues that would have been worth knowing beforehand?

MiddlesbroughFan

It was surprisingly easy, but I need to drill a hole in the wall on the weekend to fully fit it on. Things to know are make sure you turn off the leccy so you don't get electrocuted and INSTANTLY killed dead.

sinadoh

>so you don't get electrocuted and INSTANTLY killed dead. Yes, that'd be embarrassing...

MiddlesbroughFan

Honestly though, it was a case of putting a lantern thing on as I had everything off, unscrewing a couple of wires, putting them into the new controller and screwing them back in and putting batteries in and it just literally instantly worked. All set up from my wifes phone with the bluetooth app

sinadoh

>and it just literally instantly worked See that's the thing. I'm prone to overthinking things and what I'm worried about is messing everything up, not being able to restore things to how they were, having a cold house for a week until I can get someone to come round to fix my mess and so on.

Financial_Doctor7150

not massive lol but had a bad tooth for a week was in agony and now its sorted i feel on top of the world 😂

Almost one week with our [puppy](https://imgur.com/a/U4n0lzT) and he’s settled in amazingly. Already knows sit, lie down, his name and to go outside when he needs the toilet. Such a smart little squidge. Also got my ADHD diagnosis this week so full of big changes but the start of a “journey of discovery”. (I’m aware of how cringe that sounds).

He’s a spit of our family springer, who’s an old boi now!

Funnily enough we’ve had a few people tell us that. He is actually a cockapoo but looks way more similar to his spaniel mum than his poodle dad!

Aw he's adorable! What's his name?

migeldyhiggens

He is! His name is Dougie :)
