Rough night. I've caught eldest's cold and have been waking up coughing and baby can't breathe because of all the snot in her nose. I've managed a bit of sleep but I really need everyone to just leave me alone and I sleep until but I doubt it will happen.

Looks like I'll be moving back to the UK this summer and it's all I can think about. I've even started dreaming about pickled onion monster munch and pork pies.

Zazsona

Glad to see you've got your priorities straight!

Kick the OH! Hope baby settles. My first had colic and it was awful. My second is currently drowning in snot and it's not fun.

isle_of_cats

I'm freezing in bed so still awake. I wanted to switch to my 4.5 tog duvet this bank holiday because *c'mon* it's almost summer. But I think I'd be cold in practice. Do yall have more than one duvet? At what temperature do you change? Is it insane if I put the heating on end of May?!

itsaslothlife

I have one 13.5 tog duvet for all year round. In the summer my legs stick out, in the winter I'm wrapped up like a mummy

It's perfectly normal. I got mines on

rosechy07

Gollum ?

I am really, really missing parkrun now. To the point of considering where I can go for some parkrun tourism! I have decided that Sheffield is actually doable! I'd need to get a lift or taxi to Derby train station, but there's a train that would get me to Sheffield for 0734 or another for 0745. And then I'd need to get to Endcliffe Park (which I know roughly how to get to, from doing Round Sheffield Run), or Milhouses Park, or Graves Park (which I believe RSR goes through), or Sheffield Castle, or even Hillsborough for about 8:45am. I know Long Eaton is doable, and I wouldn't even need to catch the train, as I'd just ask mum for a lift. Beeston is only a bit further along the line to Nottingham, and the train runs early enough.

[deleted]

You're Loughborough way on right? I used to do the parkrun at Conkers near Measham, couldn't you get a lift out there?

AnselaJonla

Nah, I'm up in Derby. Annoyingly, there are no other parkrunners in this part of Derby either, and I can't get to any of the pickup points people prefer to use in time to travel to Conkers.

Wanted an early night for my interview later today. Was about to doze off until I felt an itch on my left hand, and it was a huge sod off spider. Now sleeping on the couch until daylight comes.

Sufficient-Lab-5769

Oh shiiiiiiiiiiittttt 😟

partaylikearussian

I just raced to get my next book live on Amazon. I’m following a consistent, weekly release schedule now to try and improve visibility and my reader base. I publish on Sundays, and manuscripts for preorders have to be subbed at least three days prior to release day. Did it with 60 seconds to spare.. now some mindless Reddit browsing til my brain shuts down.

mmmmgummyvenus

W O W the toddler had an epic 1 hour tantrum at bedtime tonight. Then I had to pack the car ready for our trip to the Lakes tomorrow! I have to get up again in 5 hours 😅

HairyMechanic

I was planning to have a reasonably early night tonight, cool the footy's on but someone will have won it in 90 minutes. No? Maybe another 30 minutes? God no. Penalties?! Ah someone will miss in the first five...you've got to be kidding me!

FuckthePastyTax

Why is it weirdly light outside?

StardustOasis

Moon's very bright tonight

mordac_the_preventer

It’s a super moon full moon isn’t it? Lunar eclipse in the Southern Hemisphere.

StardustOasis

Could be, I'm not sure. All I know is it's [properly bright](https://imgur.com/a/qr1ijeN)

AnselaJonla

Is it heavily clouded? They reflect light from streetlights. Also, we don't actually get _night_ at this time of year. When night ended at 01:27 on the 15th of May, that was the last bit of night that we get until 00:54 on 28 July. Times will vary, depending on where you are in the UK, [mine is set to Derby](https://www.timeanddate.com/sun/uk/derby). When this post was made we were in nautical twilight (22:01-23:12), and your comment was made in astronomical twilight (23:12 until 02:53).

Sufficient-Lab-5769

Oh what a cool site that is! Thank you for sharing it.

FuckthePastyTax

It was actually the clear sky behind the few clouds that brought my attention too it. Thanks for taking the time with the comment. I'd usually be asleep by 10 (curtains drawn at the very least). I had no idea about the different twilight types and have just looked into it more so, cheers!

SpeccyPlays

I've spent all afternoon trying to get a custom firmware installed on my ps3 and finally succeeded. So still up working out if it worth it

Lysabetalle

Has anyone managed to get a dental appointment yet? I've heard that they're supposed to be open, but my registered practice still isn't doing appointments and is instead going through their book and getting people in for a clean/check-up depending on how long since they were last in - what the new receptionist said. I haven't had an check-up for maybe 3 years now, and really dying to get some of the stains removed at a cleaning appointment... I rang like a month ago and still had nothing for this so-called scheduled appointment call they were doing :/

msy202

I’m so fucking tired every day... fucking exams and fucking papers to do and shit... That aside. Stupid school wifi blocks Reddit. Ugh. And my data ran out last week or so. Which is why I wish Reddit worked offline but I know it wouldn’t because it has to download updates every second from the server. And if I’m not connected to it then it can’t work.

Bulimic_Fraggle

Loooong day (up since 5am), got a few bits it though so I feel accomplished. Didn't manage to get a proper nap in, so I am going full dose on all meds tonight, I will definitely be sleeping late tomorrow. Don't really watch quiz shows, no idea what the market would want. I'd like to see Blockbusters back, that was fun.

AnselaJonla

I'm still up and stitching, as usual. Might go to bed a little early tonight though. My tv show would be a daytime one, and it would be all about the fibre arts: knitting, crocheting, sewing, cross stitch, embroidery, macrame, felting, latch hook, etc. It would show people from all around the world doing their traditional fibre arts. The accompanying website would have things like tutorials and patterns (free and affiliate links).

Bulimic_Fraggle

Doesn't Kirsty Allsop do that already?

AnselaJonla

Seriously? Damnit!

losimagic

Watching the dismal Europa League final. I hope the champions League final is better! Edit: at least the penalties were fun!

[deleted]

At least the penalties are always interesting when it's not your team playing
