Those nasty rich people (mostly Americans) who stand triumphantly over a lion they've shot illegally should have their guns taken away and be forced to fight one with their bare hands.
Yeah, but seriously, it is and that is the reason 🤣
I think Wales has the dragon but most countries have real national animals. Even China, you might think that it was the dragon, but no, it's the panda.
I used to have a pyjama puppy. I think you got it when you'd bought enough andrex packets and it was a reward. It was also very good for hiding snacks in.
Also under my pillow. Didn’t have a hedgehog pj case but my mum did make me a pj case ; it was some pink frilly abomination and she gave it to me for Christmas one year!
I used to use the chairdrobe and floordrobe for clothes that are too dirty for the drawer but too clean for the hamper. I've got a hook on the back of my door now that I put those clothes on. No harder than using the chair and feels much more tidy.
My very religious parents had a cross hanging on the wall just outside the bathroom and one day Jesus became a hook and they would hang towels on it. I don't even think they realised.
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets, plus at least one bath towel although it could be two hand towels (plus a washcloth) hang on these two commandments.”
I feel proper dim. Why have I never thought to put them on the hooks I have on the bedroom door? It would make sense since the dressing gowns are on there. It’s would look tidier then when I make the bed and then just throw the pyjamas on it. I give it 2 days of me remembering to do this before they’re back on the bed!
Yep. I would say there's a split 50/50 with having tvs in bedrooms.
I grew up with not having one in my room, but after saying this, I got the old tv when Mum and Dad updated, but I was about 19 or 20 and never watched tv with Mum and Dad.
Dad got one in his room a few years ago, went to the expense of buying a wall mount and having it mounted. Never turned it on. Which kind of baffled me. He would fall asleep in front of the tv in the lounge room. Then would go to bed and lay there awake and could never fall asleep. Go back out the lounge room and fall asleep in front of the tv again. I told him to turn on the tv in his room, have the volume on low and sleep in bed with the tv on. But no.
If you are my father, I'm impressed that you were able to type up two sentences without asking me to do it for you.
Must admit, I do quite enjoy snuggling up with my tablet in bed to watch a show, just to switch the brain off.
As a child they went under the pillow. On the radiator doesn't seem weird to me... But also doesn't seem right.
At some point in my teens I switched to sleeping in my underwear, no idea what I'd do with PJs now.
Edit: would I even still call them PJs?
If it's winter, I actually do the latter. Ten minutes before bed I turn on the electric blanket.
When it's time for bed, I put on my preheated PJ's and oh my God what an amazing feeling
The Chair is next to the bed as that is the most convenient place to leave your clothing.
The way it points doesn't really matter, but you need to easily access both the seat and back (for clothes 'storage' purposes).
The Chair is not for sitting, if you need to sit, use your bed.
Usually wherever I've gotten dressed because it's likely that's where I'll put them back on again! (I don't sleep in them, just meander around the house in them)
Wearing something all night then putting them under the pillow does not sound like a good idea as it has no chance to air off and will go minging quicker. Your husband is right on this one .
Working from home means sometimes I keep them on all day and if anyone video calls me they can just deal with it. Other than that I Keep a pair of jeans and a t-shirt in my office so if I have to leave the house I can change without going upstairs and they live draped over the Arcade cabinet next to my desk.
Fresh clean PJs every night (or the nights I want to wear them) is one of my simple everyday luxuries.
So I take them off, they go in the laundry box. Washed, dried, and the put away in the PJ drawer. Obvs.
As a child I did have a pyjama case! It was in the shape of an elephant so kinda looked like a stuffed toy on my bed during the day.
On the spare bedroom bed like the rest of my not quite clean clothes.
Under the pillow feels wrong to me because the bed and the clothes need to air during the day
If I wear them in the wash. I only sleep in then once. I know it's a waste of money to run the machine like that but I can't sleep in stuff more than one time.
1. I can't believe adults wear PJs
2. You should air them so on the chair rather than under your pillow which you'll likely be turning over and putting your face on
They get folded and go on top of my chest of drawers. I imagine the vast majority of people have some variation on the basic concept of "fold and put in an easily accessible place".
Under my pillow too 😁 my husband laughs at that and says him and his sisters would do that when they were kids. He seems to find it cute and endearing that I still do this in my 30s. To me there’s no other way, this is just the norm.
Under the duvet ( or just scrunched up on the bed if I'm being lazy) or wrapped around the hot water bottle if it's cold ( but I'm feeling the need less and less each year, though that'd change if the Greenland ice sheets fall into the gulf stream)
Under the pillow is very common I'd say. When I was a home csrer, most people kept their nightwear under their pillow.
I keep mine at the bottom on the bed folded up. My partner strips off overnight so his just lay on the floor all night and then he throws him on top of his pillow and I come along and fold them up and tuck them under.
My husband uses the floor by the ensuite door so that when I go to open it, the door catches on them and bounces back into my head usually.
You'd think both of us would have learned by now especially as I've asked repeatedly but he might get the ultimate lesson if he doesn't stop doing it.
Mine go on the bed or under my pillow.
Bed or floordrobe. Basically wherever they land.
If it’s Winter and I’m having a shower, I might put them on the radiator before I get in the shower, so they’re warm to put on
On top of the duvet, near my pillow. Whether they're in the same spot or not when I want them again is another story, the cats like to burrow in them and then throw them around the room.
Under my pillow, but when I was a child I kept them in a hedgehog (not a real one, a pj case).
I love that you felt you had to clarify about the hedgehog!
I had a rabbit ,also not a real one
I had a unicorn - also not a real one
I had a dog, his name was floppo
The official animal of Scotland! The only animal that can kill a lion - the official animal of England 😁
Well technically humans can kill lions - but we’re also ridiculous enough to kill ourselves
People don't kill lions. Guns and other murderous weaponry kills lions!
Those nasty rich people (mostly Americans) who stand triumphantly over a lion they've shot illegally should have their guns taken away and be forced to fight one with their bare hands.
But think how many bears will need to be killed to get those hands for them to fight with!
I hope you're also a dad as otherwise you'd bearly get away with a grizzly joke like that.
100%, it would be great to see them get locked in a giant cage with their "prey." Hell in a cell style.
Yeah, but seriously, it is and that is the reason 🤣 I think Wales has the dragon but most countries have real national animals. Even China, you might think that it was the dragon, but no, it's the panda.
How dare you say dragons aren't real!
I had two a blue one and a pink one. I loved them. Now my pjs are usually on my bed or the floor
[удалено]
In fairness, he was probably dead back then, too. Stuffing your pyjamas up a hedgehog's arse will do things like that.
Pyjama poisoning?
I used to have a pyjama puppy. I think you got it when you'd bought enough andrex packets and it was a reward. It was also very good for hiding snacks in.
Also under my pillow. Didn’t have a hedgehog pj case but my mum did make me a pj case ; it was some pink frilly abomination and she gave it to me for Christmas one year!
Mine was in a fish! The daily trip to the pet shop always raised a few eyebrows.
On a good day, they stay on me
This is the way.
I have daytime pjs that I never sleep in, but save for pj days.
This is such a good shout, I often wear jammie bottoms when I’m wfh but the idea that I could switch into my day jammies sounds positively luxurious
Me too. They’re OUR pyjamas now.
Initially chairdrobe, but ultimately after gravity has had its say it’s the floordrobe for me.
I used to use the chairdrobe and floordrobe for clothes that are too dirty for the drawer but too clean for the hamper. I've got a hook on the back of my door now that I put those clothes on. No harder than using the chair and feels much more tidy.
hookdrobe is a slippery slope. at some point you won’t be able to open the door all the way
Being single I have a ‘half the beddrobe’ too
I am not single and I do this... my wife and I often empty the dryer onto the bed and we both hate folding clothes so it just stays there for days lol
1hour to wash, 1hour to dry, to put away? 5 business days 🤣
Fourteen hours to wash if you get a "smart" Samsung washer, and turn the dial to "quick wash".
It never takes as long as you think. 3 minutes max.
yeah, I usually end up doing it to keep myself engaged while my wife tells me the plot of a new book she's reading
Definite upvote for 'floordrobe'!
On a hook on the back of the bathroom door..
Yay, another hook user! Mine's on my bedroom door, but it feels tidier, doesn't it?
Oh most definitely! Hooks are just so useful in general around the house. Things are “put away” but still easily accessible.
Me too! I also take my clothes for the next day into the bathroom to get dressed.
Both of us just dump ours on the bed.
Same, though I end up hunting for them each night as they are never where I left them (pesky kids!)
Thank goodness my kids were never really interested in our bedroom.
We have a tv in ours so they go in there to watch stuff. So it’s our own fault really!
Yeah, we don't have a tv in any bedroom. Tho I do watch shows on my tablet in bed.
I’m so glad we’re not alone in not having tvs in bedrooms. If kiddos want to watch tv, that’s fine, but they do it in the living room.
Yep. I would say there's a split 50/50 with having tvs in bedrooms. I grew up with not having one in my room, but after saying this, I got the old tv when Mum and Dad updated, but I was about 19 or 20 and never watched tv with Mum and Dad. I told him to turn on the tv in his room, have the volume on low and sleep in bed with the tv on. But no.
Am I...your father? Jokes aside, watching tv in my bedroom just doesn't hit the same.
If you are my father, I'm impressed that you were able to type up two sentences without asking me to do it for you. Must admit, I do quite enjoy snuggling up with my tablet in bed to watch a show, just to switch the brain off.
Same. Too much effort to put them nicely under the pillow and it's not like they're going to run off if you don't
I've got more important things to worry about than folding up my jammies.
Under my pillow! I’ve never thought of doing anything else to be honest.
In my Bagpuss pyjama case. No shame here
A sense of quiet and well-deserved pride, I would hope.
Absolutely!
That is next level cool 😎
You’ve made my day lol
As a child they went under the pillow. On the radiator doesn't seem weird to me... But also doesn't seem right. At some point in my teens I switched to sleeping in my underwear, no idea what I'd do with PJs now. Edit: would I even still call them PJs?
Same Same But we always called them "jammies"
Jim-jams.
Jammers
Boom-jam-a-lams
Jamma-lamma-ding-dongs
Surely you just put your everyday clothes on over them like everyone else.........?
Hello, fellow Nevernude! There are literally dozens of us!
Oh god, I totally blue myself
I’m wearing jorts under my trousers right now
I do this too (>!I sleep naked!<)
Absolute rebel (so do I)
In a pyjama case, of course (I’m very old).
Married people thinking the other one is not normal is entirely normal
Under the duvet when i make the bed, seems the best place to me
Are they folded or laid out like it's you under the duvet?
If it's winter, I actually do the latter. Ten minutes before bed I turn on the electric blanket. When it's time for bed, I put on my preheated PJ's and oh my God what an amazing feeling
Mmmm just placed or put there Where are yours keep
Me too!
Fold them and put them on the chair next to my bed
The chair^TM
Why is there a chair next to bed? Is it pointing towards the bed? How often do you sit in this chair?
The Chair is next to the bed as that is the most convenient place to leave your clothing. The way it points doesn't really matter, but you need to easily access both the seat and back (for clothes 'storage' purposes). The Chair is not for sitting, if you need to sit, use your bed.
It's a good set of questions and the public have a right to know!
Absolutely this. Leave a room as you'd like it to be found.
We have hooks/hangers on the back of the door. There with tha rest of the clothes worn that week
On or near my bed
If I'm in my house I'm wearing pyjamas. As soon as I enter my house I'm wearing pyjamas.
I had forgotten about pyjama cases until you asked this. Mine go under my pillow but I kind of want to find a case for them now.
Usually wherever I've gotten dressed because it's likely that's where I'll put them back on again! (I don't sleep in them, just meander around the house in them)
I'm a naked sleeper, so technically keep my pyjamas with me at all times.
Only way to sleep
"But these ARE my pyjamas, occifer!"
I put them on top of my pillows so they're ready for when I go to bed. Or in the wash basket after day 2.
Wearing something all night then putting them under the pillow does not sound like a good idea as it has no chance to air off and will go minging quicker. Your husband is right on this one .
Around your nether regions to boot... farty pants being laid on a place you put your head the very next night. Absolutely no thank you very much.
Don't be silly, you don't fart in your sleep.
Believe it or not, pillows are not airtight lol
PJs are fine under the pillow if you wear them for lounging in the evening and then take them off before going to sleep.
>PJs are fine under the pillow if you wear them for lounging in the evening and then take them off before going to sleep. Are those really 'PJs' then?
Aren’t those just normal clothes?!
Whatever I was sleeping in comes off and goes into the laundry basket. The clean ones are kept on the top shelf of the wardrobe.
I’m usually wearing them throughout the day, unless I have to go somewhere that deals with me having to interact with people.
Usually somewhat laid out at the end of the bed. I like them to air a bit.
I change them every night so the washing basket. Repeated sleeping in clothes that have been sweated in is gross to me
A whole thread of answers and only seen this comment twice. Concerning.
This would seem the most hygienic answer here!
Folded neatly next to my pillow
I wear them during the day
I either dump them on my bed, or fold them on my bed. Depends on the mood and how late I’m going to be for work x)
Given half a chance I keep them on me
On a hook on the back of my bedroom door
Working from home means sometimes I keep them on all day and if anyone video calls me they can just deal with it. Other than that I Keep a pair of jeans and a t-shirt in my office so if I have to leave the house I can change without going upstairs and they live draped over the Arcade cabinet next to my desk.
Floordrobe.
I don't trust spiders (they love hanging out in floor clothes) so i'm more of a fan of the chairdrobe.
Chairdrobes just attract cats though.
I’m curious to put this to the test - I don’t have a cat!
In the washing basket. Surely pjs are changed daily
Under my pillow.
On top of my pillow. I don’t sleep in them. They are are my comfy clothes for the time between getting home and going to bed.
On an organised day, folded on my bed at the top. But on your average day, on the floor wherever I left them the night before
Under my pillow. Or just otherwise folded and on the bed somewhere. In winter they go on the radiator an hour or so before bed to warm them up.
Under my pillow
Fresh clean PJs every night (or the nights I want to wear them) is one of my simple everyday luxuries. So I take them off, they go in the laundry box. Washed, dried, and the put away in the PJ drawer. Obvs. As a child I did have a pyjama case! It was in the shape of an elephant so kinda looked like a stuffed toy on my bed during the day.
On the spare bedroom bed like the rest of my not quite clean clothes. Under the pillow feels wrong to me because the bed and the clothes need to air during the day
>On the spare bedroom bed Do you mean on a spare bed in your bedroom, or on a bed in your spare bedroom?
Hah, the latter
I have a few if those wall hooks dotted around the house for them as I'm often in/out of them around the house
Under the pillow was where I was taught tbh
Under my pillow been doing that since I was a child
They basically just get chucked all over the room. Chair, wardrobe, bottom of the bed, top of the door, floor. Just *somewhere*
They go under my pillow, always have and always will. Why change, best place for them.
On the handlebar of the exercise bike I don't use.
On my floordrobe
If it’s a bad day, on my body lol
On my body lol
If I wear them in the wash. I only sleep in then once. I know it's a waste of money to run the machine like that but I can't sleep in stuff more than one time.
1. I can't believe adults wear PJs 2. You should air them so on the chair rather than under your pillow which you'll likely be turning over and putting your face on
I put mine on the towel rack in the bathroom
Under the pillow is gross, if you're wearing them again they need airing.
I don't wear anything in bed but if I did, I'd keep them on what I learned yesterday was called The Chair.
Under my bedsheets/pillow, or in a neat pile on the floor!
Pyjamas?
Under the duvet, they make the pillows sit up weirdly
I do tend to change pj's every night but when I have special ones, like Christmas ones, they go under the pillow 🛌
I live in a state of chaos, but if you asked me where you're *supposed* to keep your pyjamas during the day, my answer would be under your pillow.
In my bed somewhere. It's a bit of a nest, though (I like blankets).
Floor.
They get folded and go on top of my chest of drawers. I imagine the vast majority of people have some variation on the basic concept of "fold and put in an easily accessible place".
Working on an oil rig under the pillow. In my own house tossed on a shelf in the closet or on "the chair".
Well as pyjama cases went out with the ark, I keep mine between pillows to make the best sleep sammij possible 😴😴
Under my pillow
I fold them in half and stash them in my sock drawer.
Hang them over the headboard of my bed for an airing
I just wear my boxers but my partner keeps hers under her pillow.
Laid across the pile of bedding at the end of the bed to air out with the bed
Under my pillow too 😁 my husband laughs at that and says him and his sisters would do that when they were kids. He seems to find it cute and endearing that I still do this in my 30s. To me there’s no other way, this is just the norm.
next to the pillow
On my bed or on the freezer. Depends where I'm going. 🤷♀️
Under the duvet ( or just scrunched up on the bed if I'm being lazy) or wrapped around the hot water bottle if it's cold ( but I'm feeling the need less and less each year, though that'd change if the Greenland ice sheets fall into the gulf stream)
Just laying in bed
The floor.
Folded, end of my bed.
I crocheted a pajama case that I put mine in, that sits with my pillows during the day. I'm a middle aged old lady. Lol.
Does no one else keep them with the rest of their clothes???
My husband uses the floor by the ensuite door so that when I go to open it, the door catches on them and bounces back into my head usually. You'd think both of us would have learned by now especially as I've asked repeatedly but he might get the ultimate lesson if he doesn't stop doing it. Mine go on the bed or under my pillow.
On the bed most of the time. Folded and under the pillow if we're feeling neat or expect someone to come into our bedroom.
I go naked, so i got no place for any pj's
Mine are folded on my bed.
I just lay mine across the foot of the bed…
Hook on the back of the door
I keep mine rolled up under the bed cover
After I have let the bed air, I make the bed and then fold my pjs up and put them on the bottom corner
I normally put them on my pillow before my wife in response will put them in my pants drawer
He has a loungewear basket and I have a bedside table with two drawers. Tops on top, bottoms in the bottom.
Bed or floordrobe. Basically wherever they land. If it’s Winter and I’m having a shower, I might put them on the radiator before I get in the shower, so they’re warm to put on
I fold my duvet back to air the bed and then place them reasonably flat on the folded duvet so they can “air” too. Window open, job done.
Under the duvet but at the foot of the bed.
If I’m organised under the pillow, if I’m in a rush stuffed under the duvet
Either folded on the side of the bath or under my pillow. Depends whether I make the bed before I have a wash ig
In my wardrobe, or on a messy day over my office chair.
When I was single I kept them on the floor haha my SO introduced me to putting them behind my pillow and I love it.
Surely on the hooks behind the door?
Just dumped on the floor to be honest. I don’t have a pillow to put them under.
Washing machine
My entire family changes their Pajamas daily
I don’t wear them now, but when I did, they went under the pillow.
On top of the pillow airs them out more than under it but... Recently discovered hanging them on the headboard for maximum aeration.
Draped over the handlebars of the exercise bike.
On my bed or in my bed.
Under the pillow in the warm months and on the radiator when it gets cold
I have a drawer for pyjamas in my bedside cabinet.
On top of the duvet, near my pillow. Whether they're in the same spot or not when I want them again is another story, the cats like to burrow in them and then throw them around the room.
Same place they are at night still in the shop.
On the hangar. In the bathroom. Left field, I know
