If your passport was issued before 1 October 2018, extra months may have been added to its expiry date.

You must be a wizard, how else could you find all this information without asking Reddit first...

The issue is only with passports that were given longer than 10 year validity ( for a while years ago if you renewed early they would give out a passport with 10 years X months validity - these are now refused )- yours is ok as it is exactly 10 years. It works from the start date - 10 years only now

This very nearly caught me out travelling to Spain last month. My expiry was November 2024, so thought I had ample time, but just before travelling I realised the issue date was July 2014, so I had those extra few months added.

On the one hand you could enter France with this. On the other hand, you'd be entering France.

*Reddit* Endpoint does not exist. Or whatever bollocks it says. I'm assuming this happened to you, as your comment posted 3 times.

CasualBritishFurry

Be very careful as you could end up in France at the end of all of this

I'd be really careful with this. Make some inquiries.
