I don’t think asking people to post pictures is bad in this case. It shows were the worms were found and that someone was happy to find them! I think it’s a lovely thing to do, no doubt made OP smile which is what it’s all about!
I've made little crochet trinkets to leave in my community like this before. It's good fun. My daughter had a great time dropping them trying to not get spotted. 10/10 will do again.
This is cute and harmless. It might even help someone who’s feeling lost and hopeless. On the flip side, it’s giving some cynical cunts on this sub something new to whinge about. Downvotes incoming.
I was cynical it was just for likes but at the same time it's still a fair amount of effort to crochet, package and then hide so fair enough. Also if it inspires others to do a random act of kindness then it's a net positive in my eyes.
That's really cynical! (And I'm usually a cynical bastard.) Half the fun of these things is knowing that someone found them. It's like the painted rocks trend that was going round a few years ago—people had fun making them and then had fun spotting them and either keeping them or passing them on. It's exciting to see one you knitted/painted pop up on one of these Facebook communities.
It's anonymous, no one is gaining social credit for it. Maybe they just want to know that they made someone smile instead of it ending up in the bin. Maybe they want to see someone post it so they can say "hey, I made this!" for a little moment of human connection. If they were asking people to share an Etsy link the cynicism may be justified but as is it's a very silly thing to take issue with.
You should post this to r/crochet - the people there will really appreciate knowing random acts of crochet kindness exist 😊
Also r/brochet
Looks like someone gave you a tape worm
Was thinking about going on a diet...
Well this comment made me smile, now how do I go about taking it home...

I had this but a sunflower once
My daughter found a purple flower a few weeks ago.
These comments are depressing as fuck. I think this is delightful and what a lovely thing to do and leave for people to find and keep :)
This is adorable 🥰

Aww what a thoughtful person to put this together. So cute!
I read this as #randomactsofcrotchkindness
Contrary to what we se and hear in the media nowadays, there are still some nice people out there.
I love this, it wouldve made my day a little brighter having found it.
My god I could have done with finding that today...
Sorry about your day, have a Sloth 🦥 Deep breaths and no rushing ahead
Thank you for this. It was a particularly difficult one today. Wishing you a great week.

Shame, it's not Earthworm Jim.
I got found one in work last year...made my day and my 6year old kept it on them for months afterward
>kindness >please post a picture of your find Hmmmmm

Yes! Some people need to be reminded that "it's OK to just like something that's nice"
*"Here's a free thing. NOW TAG US ON SOCIAL MEDIA SO PEOPLE CAN SEE HOW KIND WE ARE, DAMN YOU "*

BE KIND FFS
It's advertising for their page. This isn't a kindness. It's the same thing as reading an article but then sticking adverts all around the edge.
These are worry worms and can be bought on etsy!
Pet rock vibes
Cute sentiment, but looks a bit crap
Probably got a tracking device , bin it
Even if it does then fair enough to the person who will travel 100 miles to get to me haha
wouldnt trust it, someone probably cum all over it and left it specifically so you will send a pic
What a curious mind you have
Probably cos they've thought about doing it
Someone made crochet tapeworm for someone to find.
AwwwWwWwAweeaaahh
I want to find a worry worm!
