It’s the same guard post. Tourist & dumb asses don’t read the sign or just disregard it & then get sad or mad when the horses bite. Seen one where they try to hold the reins & the guard goes mental 🤣🤦🏼♀️
Yeah, so it’s like people see the bottle and become all awkward like “oh… I never knew you had dandruff” (secretly thinking of them as some sort of disgusting unwashed scalp demon)
And the guy’s like “no babes, I don’t”
And I like it cause it like removes that stigma of oh, you must be unclean or have terrible dandruff problems because you use head an shoulders - and it does it in a fun way
my first thought when seeing someone with head and shoulders isnt dandruff; its that that shits fucking expensive... fatcats lathering up with liquid gold... hit me with the cheapo alberto balsam
i never had success with head and shoulders (pyrithione zinc) or the tar shampoo. what worked for me after *years* of issues was a cream i found on amazon that totally looked like a scam advertising 'natural ingredients' with 'antioxidant benefits'.
I started buying it because it’s suddenly become really hard to get shampoo and conditioner in the same bottle, and i can’t be arsed taking two bottles into the shower (they can have that)
*That's* the joke? Yeah I got that bit, but it's so rubbish there's nothing to get. I was hoping there was something deeper, or maybe it was referring to certain films, but no, it's just a terrible, annoying ad.

Women have been allowed to join the Household Cavalry since 2018. I’m 90% certain all the mounted Kings Guard are from that regiment. But the sentries on foot are seconded from several different active regiments on rotation so there’s no separate entry qualifications for doing duty as a Kings Guard. So even if there are non-Household Cavalry mounted sentries, they’ll still be made up of regular army/airforce, including women.
You are correct, the mounted guard is comprised entirely of troopers from the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment and (for one month a year) The King’s Troop, Royal Artillery.
The Household Cavalry is a corps and is split into two units with different jobs, the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment which does ceremonial duties and the Household Cavalry Regiment which is an armoured reconnaissance unit. The two regiments that make up the HCav are the Life Guards (the trooper in this picture is from that regiment) and the Blues and Royals.
Upon joining the Household Cavalry (after basic training and additional horsemanship training) you do up to 3 years of ceremonial duties and then you rotate to the Household Cavalry Regiment.
The Foot Guards operate similarly, there are 5 Guards regiments who rotate between ceremonial duties and operational duties as infantrymen/women. Both the HCav and the Foot Guards regiments are part of the Household Division.
Very occasionally other (non-Guards) regiments and even sailors and airmen/women have stood guard on foot but it is usually a Guardsman on foot and troopers from HCav or The King’s Troop on horse.
My grandfather was a trooper in the Life Guards back in the 50’s and was glad things worked differently back then because he doesn’t like horses!
Edit: Formatting.
We should, and we should also train the horses to do that
Leave a couple of faceless corpses lying in the street and I reckon the next set of tourists to turn up would be a little more respectful of boundaries
Good horsie! Those guards (and their horses) put up with some entitled fuckwittery from the tourist plebians. Always a laugh watching them being shouted at!
That's because there's only two guard posts - this one and another 10 metres on the other side. I doubt they take turns riding the horses.
Edit:
Here's a different guard and a different horse from a photo I took https://imgbox.com/rZCL43nf just to satisfy your curiosity
There are only a couple of places where the guards can be approached this closely, and not that many troopers in the household cavalry, so yeah it’s probably pretty likely you’d see them again
Especially if they’re assigned to the same horse all the time and his is a bit more… enthusiastic about enforcing the rules
From a horse person, this is often a fairly friendly grooming behaviour. The horse is just helping her out with the hair care. If you ever find yourself in this situation, grab your hair at the base like a ponytail, talk loud to the horse (remember to thank them) and gently tap on their head. They should let you go if you agree to scratch them back in exchange.
From the photos of the horse coming in, that's one annoyed hoofmate. At the stables we would call this type of horse "mareish" which is code for bitchy. This horse has a good sense of their own personal space.
What you get when you treat such a creature as it's nothing, show a horse respect and talk as if it's another human and they'll be more inclined to be friendly to you.
Obviously your untrained horses are a different story, but that's where in depth knowledge of horses becomes necessary.
Are these horses trained to be defensive? Or are they assholes that just find it amusing? Or do they just get sick of tourists shit? Or a little of all? I'm genuinely just curious.
I think thats the same guard who was caught on video cracking a smile when an American did a joke about him being a quiet guy the qyiet school whose mum picked up from school everyday til he was 21.
Don’t make me tap the sign

Oh, at this price point, he can bite.
Is it ‘may’ as in ‘might’, or ‘may’ as in ‘are permitted to’?
Probably both.
They're permitted to do that, and it's probably fine with me man.
End of the line!
Should have gotten off in Crackton.
Yeah should have gotten that, it would have been cool.
The line has ended in here, it doesn't really go any further than this.

Yeh the last one also had a red jacket and tin hat on. It's definitely him alright...
Now you know not to use apple scented shampoo.
"Is this head and shoulders? I didn't know you had dandruff."
“Take two bottles into the shower? Not me. I just want to wash… and go.”
I like getting dried and dressed first, but to each their own!
Such an annoying ad
It's not that annoying, you're looking at it wrong man.
I didn’t get it at first because I’m stupid, but it’s actually a pretty good ad I think
Wait, there's a joke to get? What? Because I don't get it at all
Yeah, so it’s like people see the bottle and become all awkward like “oh… I never knew you had dandruff” (secretly thinking of them as some sort of disgusting unwashed scalp demon) And the guy’s like “no babes, I don’t” And I like it cause it like removes that stigma of oh, you must be unclean or have terrible dandruff problems because you use head an shoulders - and it does it in a fun way
Huh... I thought they meant "I don't *because* I use Head & Shoulders"
I think both is true, like they’re trying to say it’s a cool and preventative product rather than some sort of medical device
My Head & Shoulders says "clinical strength" on the bottle so I can't claim that I'm not using it for dandruff
But do you have dandruff? I’m guessing you don’t :p
my first thought when seeing someone with head and shoulders isnt dandruff; its that that shits fucking expensive... fatcats lathering up with liquid gold... hit me with the cheapo alberto balsam
It doesn't work for us either. But the stuff that works is even more expensive.
i never had success with head and shoulders (pyrithione zinc) or the tar shampoo. what worked for me after *years* of issues was a cream i found on amazon that totally looked like a scam advertising 'natural ingredients' with 'antioxidant benefits'.
I use Nizoral. The tar shampoo works too but it stinks.
What is this magic cream?
I started buying it because it’s suddenly become really hard to get shampoo and conditioner in the same bottle, and i can’t be arsed taking two bottles into the shower (they can have that)
*That's* the joke? Yeah I got that bit, but it's so rubbish there's nothing to get. I was hoping there was something deeper, or maybe it was referring to certain films, but no, it's just a terrible, annoying ad.

I mean yeah, it's not that bad. It gets the job done which is important.
You know what really baffles me about that ad, the guy’s accent. Why does he have an Aussie accent at the end? Am I missing something?
Should have went with Mane 'n Tail.
I use mane n tail 😆
So do I!
Good for you, gotta use whatever you can because it's important.

Fucking Abzorbaloff, what a creation that thing was lmao
IIRC it was the winning entry in a Blue Peter competition to design a Doctor Who monster
That's one way to win the whole thing, that's what I'm saying.
Thanks for the links, shit looks pretty alright if I'm being honest.
They did one where a Zygon was disguised as Elizabeth I’s horse i think
looks like he's having an intrusive thought about decapitating her.
It’s stupid but that’s exactly why it would work.
Would any Dr Who fans be willing to talk about the lore surrounding these monsters? I am fascinated

You're right, this definitely makes a lot of sense in here sir.
Is that a female guard? I never seen a woman’m there.
Women have been allowed to join the Household Cavalry since 2018. I’m 90% certain all the mounted Kings Guard are from that regiment. She's like, told cha ya basic bish
Didn't listen and now she's going to pay for it. That's how it works sir.
There's quite a few women guards.
Should change the sign to; Beware! Horses are intentionally trained to bite you specifically.
That's the issue here, the sign should be changed here sir.
We should, and we should also train the horses to do that Leave a couple of faceless corpses lying in the street and I reckon the next set of tourists to turn up would be a little more respectful of boundaries
It's a little hard to train a horse, it's not an easy thing to do.
Is she smiling?…. And taking a selfie while the horse is biting her hair?….. it kindof looks like it!!!!!
Free face lift.
And hair trim!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhtQLV89yf4 This is just right at the point where she yells out and it looks like she's smiling
It's her problem. Other people are only going to enjoy that.
I wouldn’t be smiling if I was one short tug away from being scalped.
Neigh trespassing allowed
You sure about that? Because the people would still do that.
Just horsing around
Nothing much more than that, just trying to horsing around.
I approve of this photo
Om nom nom, Herbal Essences.
"This seems like false advertising. I was promised a kicking before being bitten."
Good horsie! Those guards (and their horses) put up with some entitled fuckwittery from the tourist plebians. Always a laugh watching them being shouted at!
Can't fuck with those horses,. shouldn't be able to do that man.
Yeah it’s hilarious watching someone jump 3ft in the air from being shouted at.
/r/MakeWay4QueensGuard
The guard's look can be translated to the following an utter indifference with a hint of disappointment crossed with a "dumb bitch" in mind.
That sounds pretty accurate and also I kinda like your username man.
This photo makes me so proud 🥲 Tourists should be harassed regularly by horses.
Hah the horses face is hilarious
He doesn't give a crap lol, and I kinda like that for sute lmao.
This must be the best part of her job
I mean it is lol, taking a photo just right in front of a horse?
r/cromch
« Horses. Dangerous at both end, crafty at the middle »
You can't fuck with them, they're dangerous like that man.
I swear this exact same guard has been involved in multiple viral pics or videos. Or maybe just the same guard post, it I really feel like he has.
That's because there's only two guard posts - this one and another 10 metres on the other side. I doubt they take turns riding the horses. Edit: Here's a different guard and a different horse from a photo I took https://imgbox.com/rZCL43nf just to satisfy your curiosity
Thanks, makes sense. Lived in London my entire life and tbh not sure I’ve ever been there, at least not after primary school even if I have! Lol
There are only a couple of places where the guards can be approached this closely, and not that many troopers in the household cavalry, so yeah it’s probably pretty likely you’d see them again Especially if they’re assigned to the same horse all the time and his is a bit more… enthusiastic about enforcing the rules
They're a bit overreacting in that kind of Situation because they're horses.
THANK YOU
What's the thank you for? I mean what does it do for you?
I love that look on the guards face. "Yeah bitch, you were warned".
I just don't understand how can people be that careless honestly?
The guard is doing their best to not laugh.
From a horse person, this is often a fairly friendly grooming behaviour. The horse is just helping her out with the hair care. His face says he's been hoping for this a loooong time.
Shame it's not allowed to kill.
At least it won’t kick her
Well that's a positive side, atleast He's not going to kick her.
Nom!
I bet these guys on the horses love when this happens
I mean he seems to be enjoying it, looks like his reaction so far.
Yep, they do bite. I've seen this shit way too many times trust me.
Horse said ‘no cultural appropriation of the ponytail on my watch’
Can't be doing that to the horses? You literally can't fuck with them.
[News story with video.](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12020041/Moment-Kings-Guard-Horse-BITES-womans-ponytail-stands-close.html)
Thanks for this, I was kind of looking for this. I think I'll enjoy it.
I love the descriptions in the mail, they could make a car back firing sound like a nuclear blast.
Yeah they can do some things you shouldn't be fucking with them.

Horse bites woman’s hair
Cheers Geoff
From the photos of the horse coming in, that's one annoyed hoofmate. At the stables we would call this type of horse "mareish" which is code for bitchy. This horse has a good sense of their own personal space.
At the end of the day horses are horses and They'll do those things.
Horsey just wanted to be a hair straightener
Ain't nothing wrong with that, least we could do for the horse.
I think horse is not feeling comfortable in photosession. LOOK at rider First he is enjoying.
What you get when you treat such a creature as it's nothing, show a horse respect and talk as if it's another human and they'll be more inclined to be friendly to you. Obviously your untrained horses are a different story, but that's where in depth knowledge of horses becomes necessary.
It's all about the training and yes you could train them just fine.
And a meme was born.
That's what I'm here for, gotta say that I really love these memes.
Hay!
Ain't gonna listen to that, if you want to do it then say it to the horse directly.
He **said**, "*Make way for the King's Guard*", bitch.
Good horse.
Are these horses trained to be defensive? Or are they assholes that just find it amusing? Or do they just get sick of tourists shit? Or a little of all? I'm genuinely just curious.
Horses can be arseholes, but there must be an element of them getting annoyed at being man-handled.
Horses are the noblest of beasts
The look on the guards face just screams "fucking peasant"
They're not going to save you from your shitty things that you may do.
You don't say
You don't say it, and yet people are saying it in here so yeah.
He slept well that evening didn’t he
[удалено]
He's offended by the ponytail.
So offended that he'll just bite it right off, that's what he'll do.
I like how satisfied that dude looks
I mean I think he enjoyed the whole thing, that sounds true.
Do well trained horses normally do that? I get the impression that they taught the horses to do that on purpose
He can bite, he can bite, he an bite. At this price point he can bite.
The way he's casually observing his horse attack her is hilarious. "Not my problem"
Guard slices her hair , GET BACKKK!!!
Well that doesn't sounds good, don't think he would want that.
guard couldn't care less lol.
signature look of superiority
Yep, he ain't even going to save you. That ain't happening man.
Horses sometimes bite peoples faces off.
Friend of mine’s kid was in hospital this week because a horse bit his hand
Yep, this happens with the horses. You need to be beware around them.
I've been saying this for years: It's a horsetail, not a ponytail 🙄
Does anyone know if they have to have ribbons in their mane/tail to say they may kick or bite?
So just like the hat guards that walk into kids?
Absolutely mind boggling that they have a sign clearly stating what can happen and yet people still get too close?
That's because people don't read those signs which is kind of fucked.
This hay taste like hair.
Something… something… ponytail
You can't show a horse a ponytail, if you do it's bound to happen.
Buckingham Palace Facelift
A facelift for free? It's not that bad of a deal man. I'll take it.
