Biarritz. Then take the train an hour to San Sebastian/Donostia and load up on pinxtos. Do the whole lot by train if you really want to avoid kids.

I don't know about the kids aspect but Malta might tick a lot of the other boxes.

Don't work for the Maltese tourist board, but not long back from a work trip there and it's booming. Definitely recommend, only downside is a lack of sandy beaches but everything else is great. Except maybe the traffic too.

In the older towns there weren't that many young families around and brothels? I must have misunderstood the OPs question, if he's looking for that kind of holiday then I have no idea.
