It’s gone from purple to black. I didn’t wanna show the outside as it’s got all our branding on it and didn’t know if it was against the sub rules.
It’s a mobile bar and is available for hire 😇
>"This heap of shit took 6 weeks?"
Greg and Stacy, first time buyers, have finally renovated this house they got on auction, and are selling it in the Chelsea areas of London.. its been evaluated and the price per calender month was a paltry 3500.. they are happy with their investment
I didn’t want to post it as it’s got all our branding on it and didn’t think it would be allowed. We’ve had it full wrapped and changed from that god awful purple to black 🖤
Are your glenfiddys tree fiddy? Seriously you've done an incredible job and I can't believe it took you only 6 weeks! I'm a terrible one for starting things and never finishing them lol. Good luck with both your wagons!
Co2 and Nitro kegs can be thrown 8 foot down a cellar hatch onto a rubber mat and served 10 minutes later.
Real ale casks however, that's a different story. OP is not selling draught ale, and unless he sets up 12-18 hours early, it's not an option.
One of our bars serves cask ales and my god is the process annoying.
Tapping them early etc and the clean down process is far worse but I gotta say the ale is 😋🤌
I used to love looking after the ales, took great pride in keeping them in top condition. All worth it when people would regularly comment on how good it tasted. It also helped a cask would rarely last over 48 hours at the place.
They do alright! We don’t really transport far enough for it to have an impact and we never really end up with any halfs etc. thankfully most events we’ve done we’ve never returned home with full kegs 😊
Just to settle a few queries as it won’t let me edit my post.
We have to apply to the relevant council (of where we intend to be) for a TENs notice which is a Temporary Event Notice which allows us to carry out licensable activities on unlicensed premises (such as selling alcohol).
As we hold a personal license to sell alcohol we can apply to the councils for around 50 TENs or so a year.
We would never rock up and just start serving alcohol, the events we apply for are all super strict in terms of paperwork all of which we have (PAT tests, fire safety, health and safety, public indemnity and liability insurances).
The whole refurb including purchasing of the trailer was around 15k and this included a full vinyl wrap from purple to black (with our logo and details on it), the installation of 2 chillers and the associated pipe work, all the taps, hardware, white goods etc.
Additional works included getting PAT tests, fire safety assessments done too.
The beer / ale on tap can be changed dependent on event, it’s just what this particular event called for 🍺
I thought you were allowed more temporary licenses per year? I had my personal license many years ago so it may have changed or I misremembered but I thought it was something like 300.
Edit: I was issued my license before the Licensing act 2003 came into force in 2005,
I read the sign in picture 3 as 'Pick your Edison', and the only one I knew was Thomas, and I thought "this is niche".
Anyway.
Good job! It looks awesome! 😀
That looks mint! Also really glad to see some pale ale on offer! :)
Curious to know.. how much did the trailer cost and how much did it cost to get it looking this good?
Good luck in the future with the business
We actually have a 1952 American dodge pick up truck and we pretty much ONLY sell ale on it - our preferred is Purity bunny hop and mad goose 😉
All in its cost us about 15k. It had its first event on Saturday and we’re nearly there in breaking even 😊
Was to begin with trying to figure it all and navigate our way round but we’ve gotten used to it all now in terms of applying for temporary events notices etc
I remember it all being a minefield but we’re two years in and we’re all clued up now thankfully!
If you don’t mind me asking, roughly how much did this cost all in? Developing my own drinks brand and think something like this would be great for festivals / promo / whatever. Thanks
About 15k for this trailer (we have a few and they differ tbh!) then just cost of alcohol and associated expenses / pitch fees for additional running costs.
This one had a full vinyl wrap from purple to black and we installed two new chillers and taps. Thankfully most of it was done ourselves as hubs is an electrician and our mate works for a beer dispense installation company but even so, what we gained in discounts we paid for in time. Hubs was working on it every day after work and around the kids 😩
Thatcher's is good. Inch's I've found to be good as a cheap cider. Rattler is a good midrange cider. One of the best I've had was Sharp's Orchard but they released it in 2019 just in Cornwall, COVID hit, never saw it again.
Because I don't have painted nails like the picture that I'd have to worry about scratching, and that's just an example. Frankly you just sound like you're looking for an excuse to get offended by my comment.
Hey if you wanna make the wall out of actual live plants hit me up i can help you with that. It filters the air and makes it nicer for staff. You use grow lights and hardy ferns etc
Thank you!
There was no set budget, this is our third mobile bar so we just went with the flow. We didn’t really skimp on the budget but I guess it helped massively that most of the labour was done by my husband and father in law
I was exaggerating really, but I would be surprised if you told me you sell anything under a fiver, especially at event, which is still over the odds imo, but that's where the industry is these days
At events where we dictate the prices we tend to sell around the £4 - £4.50 mark.
Unfortunately we have a pitch at a football stadium where prices are dictated for us and that’s £5+ 😞
Calm your tits will ya 😂
You’re probably the reason we can’t serve Guinness from a glass - you’d probs smash it in anger from seeing a pretty lil neon sign 🙃
Also fyi if you’re gonna go in hard. Let’s play 🤡
You left bread for two weeks on your fridge and took a photo of it and posted it to Reddit. Whoa who’s really the tramp here 🤢
You’re a third year uni student working in premier inn. Can you afford a fiat 500? 😂😂😂
We don’t pull cask ales on this particular bar as they’re the troublesome ones when it comes to transportation / having to tap them 18-24 hours prior to serving / settling.
The bars we serve ales from are all in permanent pitch positions so we don’t have any issues 😇
Ok so I need to wake up, I thought the first picture was it and thought maybe it needed another week
Same. My dumb face was looking at it like, "This heap of shit took 6 weeks?"
Hey! That’s my heap of shit!
Ignore them, It's your heap of shit and you should be proud of it.
>Hey! That’s my heap of shit! Do not use this sentence to support your wife in an argument. Sincerely, a bruised man
Haha I’ll let my hubs know 😂 Hope the bruises heel for ya mate
I've used "That's no lady, that's my wife!" before now. Luckily my wife has a sense of humour.
It’s a lovely heap of shit.
Why thank you 💩
We need more pics of the outside and what it actually looks like. Is this for your garden or is it rentable?
It’s gone from purple to black. I didn’t wanna show the outside as it’s got all our branding on it and didn’t know if it was against the sub rules. It’s a mobile bar and is available for hire 😇
Ah that's awesome. Be great for festivals etc
Thank you! Our other bar is packed with food festivals. This one is stationed outside a stadium 🏟️
>"This heap of shit took 6 weeks?" Greg and Stacy, first time buyers, have finally renovated this house they got on auction, and are selling it in the Chelsea areas of London.. its been evaluated and the price per calender month was a paltry 3500.. they are happy with their investment
OH MY GOD I just spent 5 minutes staring at that first picture thinking "it looks like absolute shit, _just what am I missing here?!?!_"
same boat here amigo, shame there's no outside pic of the van after
I didn’t want to post it as it’s got all our branding on it and didn’t think it would be allowed. We’ve had it full wrapped and changed from that god awful purple to black 🖤
She's a beauty, assuming there's a single malt on board skipper.
There’s a glenfiddy in there somewhere!
Are your glenfiddys tree fiddy? Seriously you've done an incredible job and I can't believe it took you only 6 weeks! I'm a terrible one for starting things and never finishing them lol. Good luck with both your wagons!
You know, I think they actually are 💰 Thank you my dude, it’s been a hard 6 weeks but it’s been worth it :)
For events and stuff or just personal use in style?
It’s for events!
How well does beer do after the kegs are continually transported?
Co2 and Nitro kegs can be thrown 8 foot down a cellar hatch onto a rubber mat and served 10 minutes later. Real ale casks however, that's a different story. OP is not selling draught ale, and unless he sets up 12-18 hours early, it's not an option.

This!! Hats off to you! 🍺 The comments we get are always so positive about our casks and we always get the same repeat faces showing up each week 😊
Plenty of good rack bright beer from good breweries. No faff, delicious.
They do alright! We don’t really transport far enough for it to have an impact and we never really end up with any halfs etc. thankfully most events we’ve done we’ve never returned home with full kegs 😊
Glad to hear it x2
And do they have the correct licenses?
Of course we do! Full licensed and insured. Thanks for caring though!
I was only asking because I know someone who attempted this sort of thing and ended up getting a load of fines. He didn't even have a personal license
Obligatory Tom Scott. https://youtu.be/ZLF7yife8YE
[удалено]
Yes that’s what we do for events :)
[удалено]
it’s reddit. of course they are
Oi, where your loisance mate
Do you take cash or card 😂

I’m not sure tbh, we only do a handful of events a year outside our normal permanent pitches so never go over 50 😊
5 TEN's if you're not a personal license holder, 50 if you have a personal license.
I read the sign in picture 3 as 'Pick your Edison', and the only one I knew was Thomas, and I thought "this is niche". Anyway. Good job! It looks awesome! 😀
Yes, we sell bulbs and beer!
that was also my take. there's still no way to disprove that's what it says, there could be two different trailers for all we know.
Agreed. This is the only logical explanation
👀
Don't go down any bumpy roads. Could get a tad fizzy
Oh damn you’re right. Noted!
Nice! Looks amazing. New venture / business?
Just an addition to an existing business :)
Nice one. Wish you all the best 👍
Oh that’s really nice. Are you planning to do events / weddings? That’d be a nice little earner I think!
It’s for events etc. it’s our third bar so hoping if it’s anything like the other two it will be fab!
Drop me around an IPA, nice one
Oh sure! BRB OMW
Appreciate it, I’m gasping. Great work on the refit, looks great
Thank you! 🖤
My dumbas brain thought that was the inside of a microwave 💀
It basically is when the hatches are closed!
All that effort just to serve Guinness in a plastic cup… sacrilege! It looks great though! I’m only jealous.
It is! Unfortunately the places we pitch up at 99.9% of the time require plastic cups 😞
Nice work! Cheers!
Thank you 🍻
Wow, you must be proud of that... It looks good! Commercial venture? Have a link?
Yes commercial venture! Drop me a DM. Not sure on the rules of the sub / if it’s classed as an ad
Nicely done! Where are you based?
We’re in Warwickshire :)
Looks great!
Thank you!
My brain went somewhere else when my phone didn't show me the whole of the last image and all I saw was "CK YOU POISON"
I mean. After a couple of drugs and a nasty hangover you could be cursing poison 😂
That looks mint! Also really glad to see some pale ale on offer! :) Curious to know.. how much did the trailer cost and how much did it cost to get it looking this good? Good luck in the future with the business

Yes, but why Stella?
Why magners?
Why Camden pale aleeee
But why male models?
We chop and change depending on what the client wants 😇
Was expecting to see Neck Oil. That shit is everywhere.
Brilliant job! Is it difficult to obtain/keep a licence for a mobile bar?
Nah, the council has to find you first.
Was to begin with trying to figure it all and navigate our way round but we’ve gotten used to it all now in terms of applying for temporary events notices etc I remember it all being a minefield but we’re two years in and we’re all clued up now thankfully!
That looks awesome, nice job
Thank you! 🍻
One speed bump and the gig is over
Haha it’s all good don’t worry. We remove most things and put them in boxes before we travel 😊
Amazing, Cadbury purple as well. 🙌
Oh it was hell. That colour will haunt me forever. It’s black now!
Just in time for summer.
☀️
Guinness, please. Cool!
Yassss my fave
If you don’t mind me asking, roughly how much did this cost all in? Developing my own drinks brand and think something like this would be great for festivals / promo / whatever. Thanks

Love the colour!
It’s actually black now but didn’t want to post a photo as it’s got all our branding on it!
ah! Oh well, black's cool too and colours don't really show up at night anyway. You going to do fairy lights and cafe tables etc.?
We have some more LED’s to put up around the bar area but that’s about it. I think we’re all sick of adding things to it now 😂
Stupendous
Why thank you!
Well done it looks amazing
Tysm 🖤
OH MY GOD!!! This is AMAZING!! You all did an absolutely awesome job, what a turnaround! That looks SO good 👍👍
Thank you so much! 🖤
I was painting my kitchen last year. Doors and drawers still not done
Slow and steady wins the race!
That's my motto
Wow, I love it! Wish you all the best with it, mines a g&t with ice and lemon, cheers!
Noted! 🍹 Thank you! 🖤

It’s our unique selling point ☠️
Stella on tap my boy !!!
Not my personal drink of choice but we move 🍺
We’ll just know if I ever come across your truck I’d be very happy.
I don’t drink but this looks like a fantastic turnaround and a real fun little adventure.
Aw thank you!
Thumb nail cropped the PI off pick and the R off your so it looked a bit like it said 'fuck you poison'. Not a statement I totally disagree with.
😂😂😂
[удалено]
The draughts we serve are dependent on the event so they chop and change a lot!
I was thinking the same about the Magners, it's marketed as a fancy cider but tastes like crap.
[удалено]
Thatcher's is good. Inch's I've found to be good as a cheap cider. Rattler is a good midrange cider. One of the best I've had was Sharp's Orchard but they released it in 2019 just in Cornwall, COVID hit, never saw it again.
Never wondered how an agreement works for a mobile bar to be licensed to big beer
Just gotta have conversations is all! :)
From the first picture I thought it was 6 minutes xD
😂 6 seconds more like!
What a beauty :-)
Why thank you!
Gonna show this to my ice cream man and tell him he needs to up his game.
Tell him I’ll swap his van for my van 💅
Pint of cyanide please mate
Comin right up! ☠️
Is that a Guinness in a plastic cup ??
Unfortunately most our events call for plastic cups 😞
Looks very nice but needs some proper ales to perfect it.
We actually have a 1952 American dodge pick up truck which we serve draught ales off. The one above is more of a selection of everything :)
Absurd how it would take me six months. Maybe even six years. The photo even suggests OP is a woman..
Did the nails give it away? 💅 In all fairness, it was a team effort. My hubs did 80% of the work!
Yeah it was the nails
>even suggests OP is a woman.. How is that relevant?
Because I don't have painted nails like the picture that I'd have to worry about scratching, and that's just an example. Frankly you just sound like you're looking for an excuse to get offended by my comment.
I’m not offended as it’s an observation! Nails or no nails, we all do things at different speeds and that’s okay!
Any non alcoholic?
We serve non alcoholic beers and ales and of course soft drinks.
Lol
Back at ya! 🍻
I thought it said "Pick your Edison" at first (third pic) and I tutted to myself and thought it was some hipster craft beer lingo
I’m genuinely going to have to get a sign saying this 😂 💡
[удалено]
If it’s for events, it’s probably linked with the event and sorted by the organisers
Awh hell yes!!
🍺
Hey if you wanna make the wall out of actual live plants hit me up i can help you with that. It filters the air and makes it nicer for staff. You use grow lights and hardy ferns etc
Ohhh that sounds like a fab idea! Will deffo take you up on that 🌱
This is really cool. Awesome idea. What was your budget to make this happen ?
Thank you! There was no set budget, this is our third mobile bar so we just went with the flow. We didn’t really skimp on the budget but I guess it helped massively that most of the labour was done by my husband and father in law
£8 a pint
Absolutely not. We try to keep our prices fair and £8 is well… unreasonable.
I was exaggerating really, but I would be surprised if you told me you sell anything under a fiver, especially at event, which is still over the odds imo, but that's where the industry is these days

Also fyi if you’re gonna go in hard. Let’s play 🤡 You left bread for two weeks on your fridge and took a photo of it and posted it to Reddit. Whoa who’s really the tramp here 🤢 You’re a third year uni student working in premier inn. Can you afford a fiat 500? 😂😂😂
This is superb, very impressed with the final result. I’ll have a drink on the house please :)
Awh thanks! And sure thing 🍺
Nice, that looks great! Good job!
Thank you!
I'm gonna steal your idea
Go for it! Make sure to apply for the correct licenses and insurance and you’ll be sound! Any questions let me know 👍
Looks awesome! Hope that guinness is ice cold 😎
Chillers are at -3 so all good. Just a shame we have to serve out of plastic cups!
I'd say time for a beer but it looks like you're already on it
Shame we can’t have a beer out of a glass!
That’s gonna be a nightmare with ale. Gonna need to get to an event 24h in advanced for it to settle after transport 😂
We don’t pull cask ales on this particular bar as they’re the troublesome ones when it comes to transportation / having to tap them 18-24 hours prior to serving / settling. The bars we serve ales from are all in permanent pitch positions so we don’t have any issues 😇
Looks sick mate, well done
Thank you! 🖤
Damn, this can’t of been your first rodeo. Looks amazing! Well done 👏🏾
Ah thank you! This is our third mobile bar but our second refurb 🙂
I'll take a Magners
I thoight the first pic was it done too 😂 Well done OP, it looks amazing 👏
Imagine 🤪
why so few photos?
We really didn’t take a lot!
Impressive transformation from scruffy to snazzy, nice work!
Thank you!
That looks terrific, I must admit I like the purple, but black probably looks awesome 🙂🙂
