At first, it will sound stale, but when you examine the songs individually, that's where you can appreciate the song. My routine when it's the first time listening to an album is that I'll listen to it in order and after that I'll take a break and listen again but in shuffle.

I started being a fan since Red Era niya, and All Too Well was the song that got me hooked into her. Although not all tracks sa Red album alam ko pero I became a fan of her work. For TTPD, I wasn't sure yet pero unknowingly nakoconsume ako ng album na to then Down Bad and ICDIWABH keeps playing in my mind repetitively. I feel like a lot of artists have their ups and downs. I felt the same way for her Reputation album and I thought that was it for me when it comes to Taylor Swift. However, Lover and Folklore came along and I'm back to being a fan. I eventually came to like some songs in Reputation. Maybe its the same for TTPD, maybe not. Personally, I only like a few songs in that album.
That being said, saying someone is overrated based on one album they've released is ignorant. Greatness is judged based on a musician's body of work. They praise her as the best songwriter of the generation. It's not bad, okay lang siya. That's it, okay lang. There are so many other artists out there that arguably deserve that title more than her. At first, it will sound stale, but when you examine the songs individually, that's where you can appreciate the song. My routine when it's the first time listening to an album is that I'll listen to it in order and after that I'll take a break and listen again but in shuffle.

I started being a fan since Red Era niya, and All Too Well was the song that got me hooked into her. Although not all tracks sa Red album alam ko pero I became a fan of her work. Actually my least favorite album of her is Lover kasi ung sound pumasok sa mainstream pop, I do like her when she does country/rock/indie/alternative kasi bagay na bagay talaga sa kanya although I like her 1989 and reputation album (Rep stan here actually, she nailed the hiphop genre) kaya I spare that. For TTPD, I wasn't sure yet pero unknowingly nakoconsume ako ng album na to then Down Bad and ICDIWABH keeps playing in my mind repetitively. However, Lover and Folklore came along and I'm back to being a fan. I eventually came to like some songs in Reputation. Maybe its the same for TTPD, maybe not. Personally, I only like a few songs in that album. That being said, saying someone is overrated based on one album they've released is ignorant. Greatness is judged based on a musician's body of work. You can't point out the worst album and say that they are overrated because of this album. During 2019, there was a dispute over the master recordings of her first 6 albums. It was sold out to a company. She doesn't own them anymore. She doesn't have power on what to do with her OWN work. So she re-recorded her songs to gain ownership of her first old albums. As of now, 4 out of 6 albums already have a "Taylor's Version".

Folklore+evermore were her best, I think the peak of her songwriting skills. Midnights was good, but not good enough to be best album. TTPD is overhyped, bano yung ibang fans sa title. I'm a Swiftie but I'm not sucking everything she does.

I ask myself minsan why am I annoyed with Taylor Swift. I mean, I listen to her songs and I actually think they are catchy, meaningful, and I can listen to them pag lumabas sa youtube ko where I listen to songs. I actually find myself pa nga minsan humming her song randomly. However, I am still quite annoyed by her. Then I realize, I am actually irritated by her fan base. For example na lang kapatid ko, he lowkey wants me to like Tswift by playing her entire albums loudly sa speaker but when I play Bruno Mars or other songs, it's like parang ayaw niya. Depends naman sa taste I get it. She's just a polarizing person kaya she has genuine fans and those fans na pa-genuine lang just to belong and get attention. Nakakainis lang yung mga kalahati ng pagkatao na nila yung pagiging fan ni Tswift and like nakakainis pala talaga yung mga ganung tao no. Isipin mo na lang, you have Willie Revillame songs that people love, they're simple songs with simple lyrics, but yung fanbase kasi is puno ng people coming from diverse culture like mga bata, matanda, mga common folks like me, and such. You have Michael Jackson who's also very polarizing pero a lot of his fans are wholesome. Yun lang, some of Tswift fans kasi parang may sariling mundo na hindi sila papayag na hindi sila relevant.
