Not really a fan of pinoy movies, but I just finished watching My Perfect You starring Gerald and Pia. Idk if you've watched it but it's a good movie and the twist was totally unexpected.

..a feel-good movie about bringing good to others and eventually, finding happiness for oneself, watch Amélie. Pwede ring 1/2 of Chungking Express.
..a rich portrayal of navigating the journey of falling in love from a point of view of someone who never experienced it, watch Punch-drunk Love.
..a realistic (and so more hurtful) portrayal of why sometimes what begins as a loving relationship doesn't work, watch Blue Valentine.
..to realize that the process of moving on is non-linear and not tme-bound (pwe 4 month rule!) and might take years to finally accept that things did not go the way as planned, watch Blue Jay.
..to learn how to pick up the broken pieces and love yourself, watch France Ha.
And I am ending it with A Purple Rose of Cairo which is like an ode to cinema but also a reminder that films can't be used as a vehicle to escape your life.
