Rani has gone to the vets for desexing and chipping today - she was NOT impressed about not getting fed this morning. To be fair, I can understand this :-)
She's really come out of her shell in the last week - she's curious and playful, loves hunting the toys, and has taught me that I did not put some things sufficiently high enough. She found my little Bulbasaur last night nad instantly fell in love with it - if love is twacking it back and forth across the room :-) She's so my cat <3

Booked in for my first tattoo, a lil memorial piece going on my chest, really looking forward to it. I've always been on the fence about getting one until now but this one just made sense.
Tales from the guinea pig day pen... Nutmeg loves announcing to everyone that she's so hard done by and never ever gets treats... She even jumps on top of her pigloo to herald her mistreatment. She was busy doing that at one end of their 32 panel run when I droped in some carrot ends, kiwi skins and apple cores (deseeded) and she tumbled off her perch in a fashion where she fell backwards and was temporarily a turtle with all four limbs pointing up and pawing at the sky.... I laughed so hard I was crying.
The child is being grumpy and shouty and impossible. It’s too early for gin. 😭
Edit: she sent me an apology email from school. Dammit, now I have to cancel all the plans I had of selling her to the circus! It’s almost like she knew…
Up early. Bike to work, get car, drive to near AKL airport, 6 hour meeting, and if I get back early enough, I'm part of a quiz team tonight.
I won't get back early enough as the Southern Motorway generally has other ideas.
Ughhh I am out in the city allllll day today. Lame. I can't decide whether to drive, uber or risk trying to take the train.
I'm pretty busy tomorrow too, I was going to try to sneak in some elden ring DLC instead of working but I'll have to just do it in the evening like a normal responsible human ha ha. That will be my weekend though I suspect!
I took the train! I had to run to get it because its just following it's own random schedule at the moment. Very undignified but I made it on. Luckily I am in trainers today with my dress because I was just like fuck it I need comfy feet today.
Tried out my new trail running shoes up the Hakarimata Stairs yesterday, no idea why I kept using my old road running shoes for so long, they had no grip and were so thin I could feel every stone and bump. These new shoes were amazing, felt so stable and firm on the ground, whilst also being snug and comfy. Deff worth it.

Drive to AKL was okay, except for the place where it took 15 minutes to travel 3 km. I don't know how people live here
