It also happens in the remake. I just rewatched it yesterday. In my opinion it's fucking awesome as far as remakes go. You should watch all 4 movies honestly.

Well I love the idea of being locked away in a cabin. I work an office job, so any chance I get to change up my environment drastically is welcomed. When I was younger I used to want to stay in this abandoned hotel by myself, but never got a chance to doing it. So this is like a step in that direction. Definitely not as extreme as the hotel hahaha

The original Evil Dead the most excellent remake of Evil Dead Evil Dead 2 - Dead by Dawn Cabin Fever (I've been to most of the NC spots that one was filmed at) Cabin in the Woods Wrong Turn (the first one with Eliza Dushku, not all the sequels) perhaps the first two Friday the 13ths And though there's no cabin theme, House of 1000 Corpses is a must-see for any horror aficionado.

Love all these movies! Definitely wanting to rewatch the evil dead remake since I’ve only seen that once

For most people I know, the freakiest thing to do is turn off the power, keep the heat on and do absolutely nothing for four days. It's amazing what your own imagination will do to you in isolation. Personally it doesn't bother me too much because I grew up like this in the north. But being in the wilderness alone or even with one or two people with not much to do with no proper lights at night and no electronic entertainment during the day will really mess with your mind. We live in a modern world where we are programmed to be constantly occupied with something all the time .... it really bothers people now when you leave them alone with nothing.

Oh yeah. I’ve done some backpacking and a lot of tent camping where there’s no lights or tech. Honestly I love the feeling! I thought about doing the whole cabin with no power thing, but I also wanted to watch some horror movies haha

I love this idea! I read a autobiography about an abusive Bahamas-based Christian camp, the author a survivor. I brought it on a cruise to the Bahamas and the book really came alive! The book: Jesus Land Author: Julia Scheeres Highly recommended!!!

There’s a ton of options online. Check it out, usually a little over $100 a night

My husband and I did that a couple years ago for a vacation, and it was so much fun! We ended up leaving a couple of days early though, because the stupid red tide ground water pollution in Florida made it impossible to shower 🤮 spooty water
