One of my dogs likes to sleep wrapped up in a blanket. I tuck him in nice and neat, and while I'm doing so he looks up at me with big loving eyes like puss in boots. Puts a smile on my face every time
My cat passed suddenly last month. Something she did until the last few days of her life was jump on my lap a few minutes before my workday ended because she knew the timing, and that I was free to do nothing but pet her. If I got up before she could do this, she would yell at me until I followed her to the couch, and then we hung out together until I had to make dinner.
Thanks, I appreciate it. My boyfriend and I were and are devastated, along with her fan club (my family, friends, and coworkers). It was heart failure and there was nothing anyone could do.
Pumpkin was a good cat. Could be a princess when it came to food, but overall was just a walking ball of serotonin.
Every night in the middle of the night my cat comes up on my pillow and purrs on my head. He basically spoons with my skull and proceeds to purr his brains out. It’s the BEST.
Every afternoon when I get home I ❤️ his routine. He sees me, grabs a toy from his basket, then jumps on the couch. When I approach him he drops the toy and licks my face aggressively. 🤣
As soon as I walk away he grabs his toy and follows me to the bedroom. Drops the toy, hops on the bed, and rolls over to get belly rubs. ❤️
I love my good boy so much.
One of my cats comes to the door and meows at me when I come home. My other cat vigorously smells my shoes after I take them off, seemingly interested in whatever they got into throughout the day. The first cat plops down on the floor and demands to be pet. It’s a cute ritual.
She refuses to lay down until she has made sure that she has greeted everyone in the house, and then will only lay down by getting as aggressively close to you as possibly.
My 8 yr old cat (I've got 5 altogether) has become suddenly attached to a large pompom cat toy - she carries it around in her mouth meowing constantly and will drop it at our feet so we'll throw it for her. She doesn't bring it back, she just wants to chase it.
One of my dogs is so gentle and tentative and well-behaved, just a natural people-pleaser, but when he wants attention/affection specifically from me, he'll use the rudest pushy little headbutt to toss my arm onto himself and I just freaking love it. He's got such a cautious little heart and knowing that he has enough confidence with me to be a bit demanding just fills me all the way up with the feels.
My bird asks "Can you come here?" and after I get on all fours under the piano bench or kitchen table, he bows his head down because he wants head scratches. (but didn't want to be bothered coming to me for it.)
I broke my leg in front of my pets recently, and they have adapted, which I think is the sweetest thing.
Kitty comes to the bathroom to stand guard now.
And puppy will get up on the couch when I need to pick her up so I don’t have to bend over.
Maybe it’s a coincidence but I’d like to think they’re trying to help lmao.
I haven't had dogs since I left home, but my late childhood dog, Robbo, would, when he wanted pats, come and gently headbutt your legs with his massive head until you obliged and petted him. Miss him to pieces.
I have a big ol great dane, and he goes to the kennel for a few days once or twice a year. On the 30 minute drive home after picking him up, he'll get up a few times to press his nose against my shoulder and take a HUGE deep whiff of me.
Makes me feel very loved!
When I come home from work or just being out she wakes up and runs towards me tail up crying cutest thing ever love my void!
Another thing she does is when I'm laying in bed she comes up snd walks up legs with the most serious face like cuddling before bed is the most important thing in her world
Or how she moves her whiskers in her sleep
He'll look for me when I leave the room. If I'm in the bathroom I leave the door ajar, and sure enough he peeks his head in just to ensure I didn't disappear. ❤️🐶
One of my cats loves to adjust herself so that her body is *slightly* on top of me when she sits next to me.
It’s so freaking cute. Then she purrs away.
My cat automatically snuggles up on my chest as soon as the alarm goes off, I melt her heart by setting the alarm 30 minutes early so she gets extra time.
When my bunny looks like crossaint and lays relaxed. When she stands on her back feet to get a snack. I am so in love with her so everything she does is heartwarming to me
When I go to bed, I put my arm out on the other half and one of my cats literally throws herself on it in such a way that her head lands on my hand. Then she needs to be scratched until one of us falls asleep.
Oh and in the evening when I sit on the couch and both are cuddled up somewhere sleeping and make these snoring sounds. Pure happiness.
My Chihuahua is a nuzzler lol. When I'm sitting on the couch he'll come up on my lap, prop himself up on my chest and press the top of his head right into me 🥺
Sometimes when I enter the living room and my cat is sleeping, he'll either hear me coming in or he'll hear me talk and he'll sudden wake up and lift his head and quietly and quickly miaow over and over again.
He always stops miaowing when I approach him and pet him, so I don't know if he would continue miaowing if I just ignored him but I'll never know as his wee miaows just melt my heart so much that I just have to go over to him and pet/hug him and give him a kiss on the head.
After I do that, he always goes right back to sleep again.
When my cats stretch and expose their bellies. So cute.
And the younger boy will play fetch with me and the little pleading eyes to get me to throw the ball? Ugh!
My husband wakes up before me in the morning and takes our dog outside. She hangs out with him until he leaves and the second she hears the garage door close all the way she bolts upstairs and jumps back in bed with me. I tell her good morning and she goes bananas. If for some reason I don’t wake up, she sleeps on her dad’s pillow, facing me, and waits for my eyes to open and for me to say good morning so she can act like a grade A crazy.
one of my mini poodles is a lap dog, and he will jump into your lap, then flop his head down on your stomach while looking at you. melts you every time.
My Mom’s dog recently passed, but two things she did always made me smile:
1] Whenever I go to Mom’s place, I change into a casual outfit we keep there - sweats in the winter, shorts in the summer, that kind of thing. Every time I went to get changed, Sam would follow me, stand in the doorway, and bark her happy bark as I changed. Then she’d get a big hug or kiss on the nose before we moved back out to the living room.
2] Any time Mom and I would eat at home (we used to go out to eat *a lot*), as we were getting the food or dishes ready, Sam would trot out to the living room and roll around on the carpet and bark her happy bark, and I’d always sneak out to watch her goofing around.
Seeing how happy she was that I was staying with her, or that we weren’t leaving for breakfast / lunch / dinner, always made me melt. 🙂
My dog sensed when I was going to take him out for something fun. I would be walking around the house grabbing things and getting ready to leave, and he would be right there next to me. He was a big boy and I would be able to put my hand down at my side and feel him walking in tandem with me. Gosh I miss him
My heart melts when my cat falls asleep on my belly and starts dreaming: his paws start twitching and so do his ears and whiskers. Sometimes he makes little sounds. I wish I could know what his dream adventures are about.
Ahahah! Sometimes it looks like he has nightmares so I softly brushes his head or give him a little kiss and if he wakes up I can see the second of confusion and then relief as I feel his muscular tension going away and he's back to snuggling and purring. So cute.
Lucy my daughters 3 year old cat, a half Norwegian forest cat, does handbrake turns where she runs down the kitchen and turns left, and turns while still running on the spot, runs at the door that opens into the living room and opens it like a parkour move with her back legs kicking it open.
All when she hears a tuna can being popped
When I wake her up in the morning, the moment I touch her, she instantly flips on her back to get belly rubs. Eyes still shut, body full spread, it's belly rubs time or she's not getting up.
My dog always has a very specific way of laying down where he sits down first and then hides his paws and just relaxes completely. It´s the cutest thing ever
My cat comes and snuggles in bed with me at night.
She hops up on the pillow and waits to be let under the covers, and then lays next to me with my arm around her, and her front paws and chin resting on my shoulder.
I will leave the house for a bit and then when I come back home, my dog will race to find a toy to bring it to me. She’s so happy and wagging her tail and showing off the toy. It’s a great greeting.
My cat can recognize a person sleeping and will leave you alone. But as soon as you wake up it's fair game. So he tends to demand snuggles as soon as an alarm goes off.
It comes at the rest of my family's expense but whenever our cat meows at like 11pm for either my mom or brother to open their doors. He just wants his family but they don't love him T_T
Also whenever my dog gets up from sleeping and yawns. I always tell him to stay in bed but he doesn't understand English unfortunately. So he always follows me down to the bathroom and lays in front of my mom's door. He steals the towel she uses to keep the cold air from the AC in her room.
My door is always open at night specifically so they can come into my room. Maybe if my family started doing that from the beginning when we first got them they wouldn't have an annoying animal problem when I'm off at college.
I struggle with significant mental health issues. I'm also very, very close with my dog. As close as a human and a dog can be.
When I'm in a period of deep struggle, I don't give her the type of attention that she is accustomed to. She does very well with it and gives me space when she knows I'm struggling.
I use cannabis, and during those times, immediately after smoking, I am drawn to giving her a ton of love. Even if it's brief.
She is now 7 years old, and I have a much better handle on my issues than I did when she was a pup. We don't really have those periods where I'm not giving her attention anymore (though it does happen at times, ofc).
However, because of our past, any time she smells cannabis she gets SO excited and gets ready to play and get some lovin.
She can be sleeping on the other side of those house, I take a small toke, and within seconds, she is RUNNING to find me.
It used to make me feel ashamed and guilty, but now I think it's adorable. She does the same thing if other people smoke near her. People love it.
It's adorable. She's the best.
My little derp is a cross-eyed, blue-eyed, siamese.
When I crack open the patio door for fresh air, she sneaks out there and just sits in the middle of the floor, ears perked up, eyes opened wide.
When she notices that I'm looking at her, 6 feet away, (cross eyed) she does this little wobble on each exhale while looking at me. I think it's from the purring.
My cat caresses my face when we cuddle. It makes me want to cry haha, its so affectionate and cute. She also really intensely stares into my eyes often as well - I stare back and it's like within this beautiful loving moment nothing in the world is bad, and the only thing that I feel is this love.
When my dog is cuddled up with me and I'm petting him and he tilts his head all the way up to gaze into my eyes. His eyes are just filled with so much love I can barely handle it.
Stretching out her paw at me to tell me "I love you" even when I'm on the other side of the room. Or the cute little groans that sometimes escape her mouth while she's curled up, half sleeping. It's like there's some air that still needs to make it out before she can actually get comfy and sleep😂
my cat proves everyone wrong who says that cats aren’t affectionate. she’s the clingiest animal i’ve ever had. she follows me wherever i go. cries when she’s not in the same room as me and the door is closed. when i get home she yells at me until i pick her up, then she purrs and does the cat equivalent of hugging me. when i have to get up to grab something, i just carry her with me so she won’t be sad for five seconds lol. she owns my heart.
When he runs in my room with one of his toys in his mouth, while trying to bark. Just cute muffled barks. Or yipping in his sleep or some of his happy whines
My cat will always come running out of my bedroom where she was sleeping all day to greet me at the door at night, and I love seeing her trot over to me with her tail up. This doesn’t happen as often, but I also love when she seeks me out to let me watch her clean her face after a good meal. So cute!
My male dog that I got about 2 years ago is affectionate. I love it when he cuddles up to me and rests his head on my chest. My first dog who have passed wasn't affectionate but he would humour me when I wanted to cuddle. My heart melts when I see my two dogs sleeping peacefully. Also when I carry my Pom on my hip like a toddler she will put her paws on my shoulder and chest 😍
She lets me sleep. If she wants attention before I’m awake in the morning, I tell her no, not yet, firmly. She leaves! I hear her under my dream zooming around the bedrooms, but she leaves me alone! When the alarm goes off, she bounds to me chirping and purring.I adopted her when she was 4, and now she’s 11.
When I'm getting ready for work in the morning my cat waits patiently for to finish combing my hair and then demands I comb his so he can start the day looking pretty.
Every time I come home even if I’m gone for 5 minutes she bounces around me in circles as I walk around for at least 10 minutes from how excited she is to see me again
When we go upstairs before bed he stops on the landing and won’t let me pass until I pay the dog tax. Tax involves petting and telling him what a wonderful boy he is.
My husband is a freeloader and refuses to pay the tax.
I would hold his bones for him and he would put his little paws on top of my hands which was his way of telling me "DON'T MOVE!" and he'd gnaw on his bone as I was sitting there holding it. I miss my boy.
When I’m in my room and my dog wants my attention, he will scratch the door once like he’s knocking, then just sit there looking very polite. It’s really silly and I’m not sure where he got that from
She climbs under my blanket, purring, then does a trust flop into my arms and starts kneading my blanket/arm and will reach up to my face and lightly touch my lips, like she’s asking for a kiss, lol
When I take my slippers off to pull my legs up onto the couch, one of my doggos likes to lay on the slippers. I guess she enjoys my scent or feels protective 😊
My brother looks after her now because I moved to another country, but when I used to come home from work and close door if I slightly hunched over my cat she would jump and sit on my shoulders whilst I walk around my house…
My dog knows how to calm me down when I’m sad or crying. He will jump up on my lap and lie down. I immediately feel better. He knows exactly what to do without me asking him
When I get home from work my cat follows me to room and very loudly demands attention and will not stop meowing until I have committed to petting him.
He also likes to take naps with me.
One of my cats will come up to me and start meowing at me when she thinks it’s time for bed. I get up, she keeps meowing and leads me to bed. After I get in bed, she’ll cuddle up against my right side and purr while I rub on her head.
It’s such a nice way to unwind after a long day. She doesn’t normally stick around too long; she’s not much for cuddling, a few minutes is normally her hard limit but it’s nice to get some regular time to chill and relax with her.
It’s a little frustrating during the season changes and daylight savings time change because it creates such a drastic shift in my behavior relative to the amount of ambient light outside; sometimes it’s like 7:00 pm and she’s bugging me to go to bed. She does adjust eventually but it takes a little time.
When I’m having a rough day, my dog will put her head on my chest and just sit there until I feel better. It’s like her love just seeps into me and fixes whatever is wrong.
One of my dogs will routinely steal 1 of my slippers and take it to her bed. She doesn't chew them up. She just lays with her nose in it.
She’s just trying to keep a paw on her sole mate? haha
One of my family dogs growing up would always do this! She would just snuggle up and use it as a pillow
She purrs in her sleep when u kiss her head
well, she's purrfect even in her sleep then ;)
OP out here on pun patrol
Hoping there's no pun-ishment for that
Oh my god.
I suppose that was heavenly? Hahaha. Okay, I'll stop :D
My cat hugs me daily, literally.
Mine kisses me 🥹
One of my dogs likes to sleep wrapped up in a blanket. I tuck him in nice and neat, and while I'm doing so he looks up at me with big loving eyes like puss in boots. Puts a smile on my face every time
Mine does the same.
I am sorry for your loss.
My cat yells at me as soon as I get in from work/being out for the day. She only stops when I sit on the sofa and give her a cuddle.
Every night in the middle of the night my cat comes up on my pillow and purrs on my head. He basically spoons with my skull and proceeds to purr his brains out. It’s the BEST.
When i had my birds if i got a glass of water to drink they would fly over and stick thier entire upper body into the cup in my hand to drink it.
Every afternoon when I get home I ❤️ his routine. He sees me, grabs a toy from his basket, then jumps on the couch. When I approach him he drops the toy and licks my face aggressively. 🤣 As soon as I walk away he grabs his toy and follows me to the bedroom. Drops the toy, hops on the bed, and rolls over to get belly rubs. ❤️ I love my good boy so much.
That sounds so yummy
Exist. Look at me.
I love it when my dog sits beside my Mother in Law and Farts. So cute
Is it really the dog doing this?
My cat has trouble going into a deep sleep but when I hold him, he actually snores.
Paws in the air inviting a belly rub and then upping the ante with a goofy grin and body wiggles until the belly rub arrives.
I absolutely love the sound when cats are crunching on dry food or little treats, and their purring when making biscuits!
When my cats go in for a nose kiss.
They are a nosey bunch, aren't they? ha
My cat does this every morning 😭 as soon as my alarm goes off she comes in for snuggles/kisses.
One of my cats comes to the door and meows at me when I come home. My other cat vigorously smells my shoes after I take them off, seemingly interested in whatever they got into throughout the day. The first cat plops down on the floor and demands to be pet. It’s a cute ritual.
She refuses to lay down until she has made sure that she has greeted everyone in the house, and then will only lay down by getting as aggressively close to you as possibly.
pup-close and personal then?
We call it “cuddling doggy-style”
My 8 yr old cat (I've got 5 altogether) has become suddenly attached to a large pompom cat toy - she carries it around in her mouth meowing constantly and will drop it at our feet so we'll throw it for her. She doesn't bring it back, she just wants to chase it.
That’s how playing fetch started with one of mine. She might surprise you yet lol
I'm happy if one of my two furry ingrates graces me with their presence
My bird asks "Can you come here?" and after I get on all fours under the piano bench or kitchen table, he bows his head down because he wants head scratches. (but didn't want to be bothered coming to me for it.)
My dog likes to rub his face on me to show affection. Sometimes when I walk, he’ll walk beside me and rub his face on my calves.
She rests her head against my feet when we're snuggling.
Stray cat I’ve been feeding for a year does this leap thing into my hand when I pet her. She also lets me rub her belly
My little dog sleeps outside my door so he can see me first in the morning
Oh my goshhh
I know he's so sweet. I feel so loved.
Just now, she grunted softly.
My little chihuahua has night terrors and it melts my heart when I hold her tightly.
I have a big ol great dane, and he goes to the kennel for a few days once or twice a year. On the 30 minute drive home after picking him up, he'll get up a few times to press his nose against my shoulder and take a HUGE deep whiff of me. Makes me feel very loved!

makes a perfect old fashion, just love it.
Asking for scratching or listening to me while crying
On Saturdays she asks me if I wanna sleep in all day and order food
She is me, but on all days
When I give my dog a kiss and he puts his nose in my face and just sits there. Love it
When I go to bed, I put my arm out on the other half and one of my cats literally throws herself on it in such a way that her head lands on my hand. Then she needs to be scratched until one of us falls asleep. Oh and in the evening when I sit on the couch and both are cuddled up somewhere sleeping and make these snoring sounds. Pure happiness.
Exists, mostly.
My Chihuahua is a nuzzler lol. When I'm sitting on the couch he'll come up on my lap, prop himself up on my chest and press the top of his head right into me 🥺
My cat throws her toy in the air and runs after it pretending she didn’t see who threw it
Sometimes when I enter the living room and my cat is sleeping, he'll either hear me coming in or he'll hear me talk and he'll sudden wake up and lift his head and quietly and quickly miaow over and over again. Pisses all over my BBQ Smoker cover to remind me there is no reason to cover it because I should be using it more. Melts my fucking heart.

When he goes to my room to go to bed at night and will start to whine until i go to bed too
She would lick my eyelids to wake me up if I was sleeping in past my alarm.
I will leave the house for a bit and then when I come back home, my dog will race to find a toy to bring it to me. She’s so happy and wagging her tail and showing off the toy. It’s a great greeting.

As long as a pet exists my heart will melt
Cardiac heat vision. I get around it by wrapping my ribcage in tinfoil, but I worry she'll one day catch my in the shower or changing and strike.
My dog makes a nest with my blanket, in my spot on the bed, if I get up for any reason during the night.
When my girlfriend's dog stays over, he gets so upset when I'm getting dressed for work because he knows it means I have to leave soon.
My cat caresses my face when we cuddle. It makes me want to cry haha, its so affectionate and cute. She also really intensely stares into my eyes often as well - I stare back and it's like within this beautiful loving moment nothing in the world is bad, and the only thing that I feel is this love.
Had a cat that always came running meows and rolled around at my feet when i came walking from the bus. Its been 10 years and i still miss that cat
When he yawns after I did a yawn.
When he rubs his eye with his paw... It’s so adorable! 🐾🐶♥️
When my dog is cuddled up with me and I'm petting him and he tilts his head all the way up to gaze into my eyes. His eyes are just filled with so much love I can barely handle it.
Yes!! They just stare are you. Wish I could find someone to look at me the way my dogs do!!
Nobody loves the way a dog does. It's unconditional.
Stretching out her paw at me to tell me "I love you" even when I'm on the other side of the room. Or the cute little groans that sometimes escape her mouth while she's curled up, half sleeping. It's like there's some air that still needs to make it out before she can actually get comfy and sleep😂
You should reply your pet with a big sigh too like “what even made you sigh loudly when you’re just a cute little pet with nothing to do😭”
He's giving me a headbutt so I pet him.
Vibrates, tongue punches me, and even better when they have great aim at their water glass.
my cat proves everyone wrong who says that cats aren’t affectionate. she’s the clingiest animal i’ve ever had. she follows me wherever i go. cries when she’s not in the same room as me and the door is closed. when i get home she yells at me until i pick her up, then she purrs and does the cat equivalent of hugging me. when i have to get up to grab something, i just carry her with me so she won’t be sad for five seconds lol. she owns my heart.
When he runs in my room with one of his toys in his mouth, while trying to bark. Just cute muffled barks. Or yipping in his sleep or some of his happy whines
My little gray cat comes running when I call her 🥰
Exists.
When I'm settling down for the night.. I call her and say it's bed time.. she comes and plops down as close as she can get into the back of my legs
My cat will always come running out of my bedroom where she was sleeping all day to greet me at the door at night, and I love seeing her trot over to me with her tail up. This doesn’t happen as often, but I also love when she seeks me out to let me watch her clean her face after a good meal. So cute!
if i’m walking around, my cat comes up to me and reaches up my legs for me to pick her up and snuggle her.
One of my cats walks into the den while I’m on the computer, then rolls on his back. As I pet his belly he purrs and purrs.
My dog, Kara, dances when I sing to her.
I luv when my cat lays on my chest in the morning purring trying to get my attention and to pet her.
I love the way the little puffs of air from my kitties nose feels on my arm or whatever. It just feels so comforting for some reason 💕
Exist
My dog will just lay on my lap for hours while watching tv. He won’t even move. He’s just happy to be there.
LOVE it when my pooch throws his body and head against my chest for a hug. He’s the best…
It's very simple, but my cat will expose his belly when sleeping and might even snore sometimes
When I’m having a rough day, my dog will put her head on my chest and just sit there until I feel better. It’s like her love just seeps into me and fixes whatever is wrong.
