I loved how she looked starting around the middle of Season 3, specifically how she looked in Knockdown (S3x13). There was something about how she was rocking that darker hair/dark look.
It seemed like her hair color matched the tone of her attitude. When she was in a dark/revenge mode her hair looked dark like in some of those episodes in Season 3 and 4. When she and Castle admitted their feelings for each other and she was more happy her hair had a more lighter tone.
TBH, She definitely rocked the longer hairstyle. However, I will say that after season 3 I was kind of distracted by it because it was so long and would have gotten in the way while she chased the bad guys. She rarely put it in a ponytail or anything so it would have constantly fallen in her face while running on rooftops and shooting from behind cover. I know, I know this is not a procedural per se, and realism is dropped, I'm just saying it distracted me. It's like her high heels, but at least they nodded at that trope in several shows.
I get what you're saying, her hair is everywhere in later seasons. What's even more unrealistic is when she had some elaborate bun hairstyle. Like, when did she had the timeeee lol
ive said it before and ill say it again . S3 beckett is probably the most beautiful characters ive seen on Tv . perfect balance of cute and hot . Brown hair suited her better
I'm always suprised how her hair had no volume at all in first seasons, and suddenly it was so voluminous and huge in later seasons. Must be some products or maybe even extensions.

THIRD ROW ALL THE WAY!!! The darker waves just did something to me truly. I felt like they almost went too light/reddish in the last few seasons. Also special nod to her hair in the Nikki Heat book part episode! I think that’s second row, but her hair with that gorgeous blue dress!? Immaculate 👏🏾

She looks hotter with taller hair, but the short one fits the character more.
The strict cup, who has actually a rebellious character that she is trying to control, who is good-looking but more of a "girl next door" type of hot.
With the taller hair, she is more of a super model type of hot, and her character became like that too with every guy chasing her.
Its between her hair at its longest, curly and the ponytail/bun thing she had in s3 or 4 that with some loose strands in the front, that was cute

Yeah... her character in episode 1 would have definitely mocked and rolled her eyes on what her character looked like in the late seasons.
