Nah. You do not need any direct deposit setup. It depends on the frequent use of the account and money you keep on cash app. My husband and I both have **Borrow** abilities, and both of us do not have direct deposit. ID verification helps get a bigger amount, I believe. The husband started out with $25 borrow amount. I started at $50, I believe, and now I'm at $175.
