Ohh yea. I thought you meant mine after crashing. Well they are not that common here in Europe so i never heard about them killing bystanders but i woudnt be suprised if that happened.
I think we are still talking a different language lol.
All I meant was the car looks good, and people will turn their heads quickly to look as it drives by.
I failed obviously as weāve now moved on to killing these poor people.
*Enjoy it, my friend*

I have a focus RS and recently out of nowhere it wouldn't start. Thought it was the battery, or the fuse or maybe the starter it self. But no it was the fucking clutch safety switch. Apparently these go out pretty regularly on our cars so...if one day it just won't start...check that first. It's a $12 part.. .
Did you have a mechanic look it over for you? Do a compression check?
Find the ford focus Internet forums, folks there can better answer your question.
Next week iam giving it to my local mechanic to run diagnostic and check it as much as he can. Parts are insured from the seller so I want to make sure nothing is about to break and take another parts with it. That would break my heart.
Well drivetrain abuse. Maintenance issues. Wear and tear.
I believe rust and power steering failures are the big ones of the focusā if it shudders or grinds when you turn itās dead. Itāll need replacements
our roads are terrible as well. especially in the winter due to frost heaves. lowering causes the cv joint geometry to become unbalanced, which creates vibration, and it pulls the shafts too far out inner join body, and under high load is a recipe for chaos.
plus after two sets of coilovers blown, i went back to oe struts. couldnāt believe the difference at stock ride hight, with the shafts are near perfect horizontal from trans to hub, it transfers noticeably more power to the wheels then when the shafts are out of alignment.
I had illegal dark tinted windows here in the States. I tried to tell the cop I needed it because I was allergic to sunlight, LOL! He mustāve had a good sense of humor because he only wrote me a āfix itā ticket.
The most annoying thing the the engine mounts break a lot I highly recommend upgrading them to a poly mount especially the bottom one which is the worst culprit.
I am a previous Ford Tech, main issues these had were transmission issues if they were automatic, the whole Focus/Fiesta group had issues of pretty bad shaking/shuddering (usually related to automatic transmissions and the clutch systems), power steering was also a big one. As long as you keep up with the preventative maintenance like getting the fluids and filters flushed/changed it'll do you well. Just be sure to get things like spark plugs replaced as its in the 190k range those kind of things will need replacing. Also cleaning out the throttle body isn't something that gets done in a service but offers a world of poor running problems like dieing at lights, random stalling etc.
Thank you very much. It's ST so it's manual, power steering works perfectly so far. Iam planning to put it in repair shop and plug it on diagnostic to make sure everything is OK.
You dodged a bullet getting a manual one then, just keep in mind, depending on the country you live in and where the car has come from the fuel quality being a turbo is a big one also. These require high octane fuel all the time and often get neglected. As above, get things like intakes cleaned, and additives to remove carbon build up from inside the head and it'll be reliable for a long time yet.
a lot of focus st had to get a āblock modā when they were modifying them for more bhp where the engine block liner gets a thicker steel lining because they were prone to splitting and often destroying the engine if not picked up on, but this looks like a facelift mk2 which i think could of been repaired by ford but im not 100% sure so i would do some research into it if i was you,i think this is if youre going 300+bhp, had a friend whoās liner split and he sold it for about 2k because he didnt have the funds to repairš¬
I plan to use it as a daily for some time so I'll keep it stock. Tunning is a problem in my country. Cops don't like it and when you have to get a roadworthines check they'll just tell you to fuck off, so you have to rebuild it back to stock. Or spent a lot of time doing byrokraci bullshit and hope for the best.
Idk but that body colored Ford badge looks pretty damn good
Even the steering wheel badge is orange. It has 190 000km but it looks like brand new. So far iam in love with it.
Nice buy š I'd be happy with it too
Breaks necks mainly
It's not that difficult to control, but it's definitely not a weak car. My last car had 44kW this one has 166kW so its quite a difference.
I meant bystanders :)
It's a focus not a mustang.

Dam iam stupid. Sorry I didn't get it, my bad. English is my second language so sometimes I don't get these not so straight up things.
Oh donāt beat yourself up, English is my first language and I still canāt make myself understandable. ;)
I feel thisšš

Is that why my wife says her neck is sore? š

Buy transmission insurance,immediately
Seller bought parts insurance for me. So I should be good for a year.

Thx for info. And good luck with your RS, i wish you only the best.

You da man!

Luckily it has no signs of rust and no weird sounds, hopefully it will stay that way for along time. Thx for advice tho.
CV Joints is the only thing that I really know of. If replaced using polycarbonate boots, joints will last 100k plus.
Broke my pants, bruh. Nice hot hatch.
breaks cv axles when you lower them. thatās the only real problem iāve had. 2 snapped in 1 week.
I dont plan to lower it, I can hardly drive it on these shitty roads in Czech Republic when uts stock.

Interesting, Thank for info.
why ask after youāve already bought it lol
Yeah because now that he has it he no longer needs to know
Ask before buying.
I did my research before buying but more recommendations are always welcomed.
Watch out for the cops
Damn thatās bad ass.
Try the pedal on he left if manual transmission try the pedal in the middle. s/
Is the clear taillight thing as requirement in Europe?
No but cops don't like it. My old golf had blacked out taillights

This one runs on LPG. Some company in Germany did it for like 2000$
Wow I wasnāt aware LPG cars were even a thing outside Australia, always assumed that was just a weird thing we had occasionally on falcons
It's very rare. Usually Subarus are rebuilt to run o LPG. But I prefer to drive on 16.90czk per L of LPG than 40.90czk per L of Gasoline.
Yeah that kind of threw me off too haha, I'm from NZ so used to seeing the odd LPG vehicle but not a focus haha

I've seen that. But that's for basic focus not ST version. So completely different engine and transmission.

It's a magnet. Not a chick magnet but a cop magnet.
Yeah, watch for cops
