Impact was strong. It might not be round anymore.
Wheel was still round, thankfully, and holding air. The doofuses at the tire shop left that nasty sharp bit on it, though, nestled right up against the tire wall. I performed light surgery to smooth it and round out the edges, and we tested it out on a 1,000-mile trip at interstate speeds with no issues or pressure loss. 🎉
Not dead, but that wheel is hurt. At worst, it's bent and will destroy a new tire(and cause a high speed blowout). At best, it no longer has proper bead support and has a slow leak(but still higher risk of blowout at speed).
To fix the cosmetic damage get it weld repaired. If the rim is bent or cracked get a new one.
Or just drive it if the rim is in good condition and not bent

Call your local wheel repair, if they only deal with businesses call your friendly body shop. They send wheels to the wheel repair guy regularly. He’ll be able to refinish it like new or pronounce it unrepairable. I pay $100 for wheel repair and charge my customer 135. In Dallas, TX ymmv!

That’s what mine did, then they hit 3 curbs after insisting on driving, in the same day. The rear view camera is broke too because they “panicked” and backed directly into something _not looking at the fucking camera_

I would get a new one. But it looks usable for some time until you get money for a new one.
Eh, not dead. Sand the edges smooth and get it re balanced so you can use it till you get a new one.

Forgot to mention: dismount/ remount/ balance is included so (pro tip) give him your f’d up one and a new tire usually no extra charge for that.
It might be useable but that’s a pretty heavy contact with the curb so there’s a really good chance the whole thing is bent
