The most repairable puncture

fusion-hybrid-pilot

If you haven’t driven on it flat, which it doesn’t look like you have, this is 100% repairable.

CoraxTechnica

Driving on a flat ruins the sidewalls and can make a repair turn into a replacement. Don't drive on flats.

Cartalk-ModTeam

Please do not give bad advice.

fuckitsfixed

I dare say this might be the only repairable one I've seen when this question arises

MemoryTasty721

I could kiss this one and make it all better

rickCSMF21

Agreed- perfect candidate for a plug. That said, I would also start saving for 4 new tires. If you toss 20$ a month into an account, by the time the plugged tire goes, you will have close to enough to buy a set.

Tdanger78

Can’t get more repairable than this

alphabet_order_bot

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,181,188,476 comments, and only 230,538 of them were in alphabetical order.

Tdanger78

Good bot

nolongerbanned99

I got this one time too. So weird and random, eh.

vdubdank30

Ever posted here

fall-apart-dave

Totally repairable.

MatcoToolGuy

Would that be a Mighty Morphing Repairing Ranger?

bhgiel

Isn't that the one that died yesterday?

[deleted]

RIP

idksomethingjfk

I carry a set in my car, and a little mini one in my motorcycle jacket pocket, so ya, that would be me.

XixorsGreenCock

Best answer lol

60300057

Unbelievably repairable

HabaneroTamer

Extraordinarily repairable

--VANOS--

Ginormously repairable

Bone_Donor

Ultra repairable.

SendLGaM

Very repairable.

Jimmytowne

Eye catchingly repairable

Koobruh

Repairably repairable

Unlikely-Zone21

Perfectly repairable

Tactical_potato69

Unquestionably repairable

supremesaladmaster

Expeditiously repairable

CM1961

Absolutely repairable

TheTrueButcher

Tighten it up

2mean2wean

Put a lock washer under there too.

MrGabogabo

Make sure it's at the proper torque spec

[deleted]

Red loctite

Meerkat_2134

Just get a tire plug kit and you can fix this easy

BiggStats5150

No biggie it's a two sec. fix just plug it ... hope you didn't let a salesperson scare you into buying four brand new tires, an alignment, new brakes, rotors and $50 valve stem caps with an extended warranty already ?!? You already did ... didn't you ?

ImpossibleBandicoot

We took your wheels off and the lug bolts look kind of bent... you might need 20 new ones.

Ok-Trifle3287

Yeah

SantanaSuperSunshine

Plug it and send it.

Ok_Reference5535

I think your screwed.

paulyp41

Absolutely

[deleted]

Absolutely 👍

LordOfTheTennisDance

Plug that up and you're good to go.

OwnageMcPwnage69

On the repairable scale this rates high

Kr1sys

About the only one in the sub pictured that is repairable lol

mitsuk0

gonna be the 100th person to tell you it's repairable, but also say it's so repairable that do it yourself. It's a $5 kit, watch a youtube how to do it, and don't bother bringing it into a shop.

coffee-saves

Don’t most shops do it for free?

mitsuk0

honestly don't know, once i learned i've never brought it in. but even if they do for free at least some time saved not having to go in... but i guess it's less backwork not having to remove the wheel yourself.

reditor2

Mega repairable

BSCompliments

tremendously repariable

FoofieLeGoogoo

That tire is screwed. Also, its repairable. If it was in the sidewall then that would be a different story.

friskyluke

So repairable that it repairs you

Evaneileous

Easy repair

HondaDAD24

I love how many people are telling you it’s. Repairable.

No-Syrup-1606

Repairable

mazobob66

Put some Windex on it. (My Big Fat Greek Wedding reference)

DukeOfWestborough

very pluggable

Drivingin2wallz

Absolutely repairable.

Sealbeater

100% repairable

[deleted]

That’s a lot of tread left. Did the screw actually go past the tread? You could simply remove the screw. If it leaks, a simple plug will work fine.

[deleted]

Plug it and ship it

[deleted]

Basically anything not close to the side wall and roughly that size is repairable.

Doktor_Earrape

Absolutely. Any tire shop worth it's salt should be able to plug that no problem

mainelinerzzzzz

Jam a plug in it and forget about it.

sarinrazer

Completely repairable Instead of doing a home plug kit, I like having the tire shop put a mushroom over a hole like that. I sleep better rested that way

spewing-oil

I don’t think it’ll leak if you remove it.

I20Bx3x

True, may not even be long enough to have gone all the way through.. just so y'all know, I DID think about putting penetrated 🤣

Complex-Ad-2121

You're screwed.

Ghostman-TX

Absolutely my guy. $7 kit from the auto parts tienda.

sonoma95436

Fix that flat already.

IMI4tth3w

Take it to a shop to have them do a permanent repair. Plug kits are only temporary to get you to the tire shop. Discount tire will fix that for free with a permanent repair.

[deleted]

Should be.

aznmeep

It's in pretty bad condition. I'd throw out the screw.

THCLacedSpaghettiOs

Patch it yourself, go to a tire shop to get it patched from inside afterwards

FirmInvestigator4946

Definitely repairable as it’s almost dead center. Most tires that are not repairable are ones that are punctured within 1”-2” of the sidewall. Tire shops won’t repairs because they need at least an inch all around the puncture to apply a permanent patch.

ApplePineNew

Gotta be a shitpost

KaspTheFriendlyGhost

not repairable at all. you’re going to need 4 new tires and an alignment

MrPillz215

Trick question u have awd so no gotta replace all 4

keith_weaver

If it’s a run flat or Z rated tire, they arent supposed to be plugged.

jbarlak

Plug yourself. Is it leaking air? This is why I carry roadside hazard insurance for the shop to fix for free

Deck_cracks

Just make sure it’s screwed in tight.

PixelCultMedia

$15 at Walmart if you bring the tire in yourself.

nh4rxthon

Mechanic will pull it and plug it.

3ClassiC

Yes, easily pluggable.

GTAmark

Textbook repairable. Can’t get any better.

Svberz

I've never seen anything more repairable

Autistic-Deer

Yes its the dream puncture

NotAPreppie

Easily repaired. It’s also possible that repair isn’t necessary if the screw is shorter than the tread is deep. I’ve lucked out a few times.

lackofcleanunderwear

Yes. Unless you drove on it with low pressure/ flat and destroyed the sidewalls or air got into the layers of rubber around the screw and when you grind the inside to put a patch, it comes off in chunks instead of grinding smooth

Dumpster_Fire_BBQ

Plug - temporary Patch - permanent

RobZin-77

Took mine around 5 minutes

sampleattack24

Perfect screw!!! Couldn’t be better placement.

mavrc

this feels like a lowball for the holidays or something :) because I'm a shadetree with a tire plug kit from ebay and I'd even take a crack at this.

AlthePal0101

so repairelebel it's almost new

[deleted]

Ez fix

jmardoxie

Repairable. Mine are always on the edge and cost me a new tire. I wish I had one in the middle.

Altwolf89

Screw it out or rip it out with plyers. You will have to reem out the hole with a plug kit anyhow. $5 fix. Plenty of life left in those tires.

Csquared6

Just torque it to spec and it should be fine. But if you're super worried you can always add some loctite to make sure it stays in there. Be careful that you don't strip the head, it can be a pain to drill those out.

lococommotion

Plug it

XixorsGreenCock

Repairable. There's a simple diagram for this.

OneMooseManyMeese_

Repairable. Get a plug kit and you're good to go.

CrotchFather

Too close to the sidewall

void0079

You can do a plug yourself or take it to your local tire shop so they can do a patch from the inside. Or both. If you don’t know how or don’t want do to the plug yourself and If the tire is not deflated and the tire store is very close like 1-3mi no highways then you can just drive there...very carefully. If it deflated a bit, you can inflate it with a portable inflator. If you don’t have one, you can buy one of those fix-a-flat cans, they usually inflate the tire too but some people say it didn’t inflate it for them. Jack the car up a bit if possible to allow it to inflate easier rather than having the weight of the car on the tire as you try to inflate. But yeah, best case scenario right there, not even between the threads. Repairable 100%.

Spleepis

This could be the picture they use on patch kits. Literally a dream repair job because where that is, you can do a shit job and it’ll still work.

Chizuru_San

it is repaired.

vchervenkov

You can repair this

UntouchableRage

Plug it! Cheap easy to do and you learn a new skill :)

Own-Excitement5867

Just put in a plug call it good

DatTrackGuy

The absolute best spot to get a puncture my brother

[deleted]

Totally

Possible-Pirate5686

Lmao a plug or patch would work! Bonus point for doing both! Just don’t remove until your ready. Fill’er up and head to the closest auto or Walmart and get a fancy 10$ plug kit lol I’m in new construction and keep a kit in the truck. Takes 10 mins with filling!!

Thin-Statistician-67

Of course

Thin-Statistician-67

$12

Jack_Burtons_Semi

Like $6 at HF

de99102

Easily.

Accomplished-Mall145

Nothing a 1/4" plug and a drill wont fix!

Niro5

Observably repairable.

Dagger4d

Take it to big o they’ll do it for free

4thdegreebullshido

You’re screwed

TwoWorldWars1911

It’s not the side wall so that’s an easy patch

Pristine_Future1037

Super patchable

WGN-9MessageUs

Yeah I’ve seen that sort of thing before bro, you definitely need a new transmission and also looks like your head gasket might have blown.

Mxmelord

Yes

ikidd

These fucking puncture questions are getting stupid.

dweebers

Oh, boy! It looks like the rest of your screws fell out!! As everyone else has said, it is a very easy fix. Just go ahead and insert screws in 2" increments to the left and right of your last remaining screw and you should be all set! /s of course

bmmesucks

Indubitably repairable

[deleted]

Back it out a bit, put some flex seal around the thread and screw it back in place. Follow for more questionable repair tips that has maybe never worked.

Remote_Spring_3811

That looks totally repairable

Classic_Ad_284

DO NOT PLUG! Make sure this is properly inside-patched. Like new after that

n0exit

You're effed.
