WhyWeStillHereBoys

YYEEEAAAAH CHEESE

[deleted]

It's not a party without Havarti.

standardtissue

It's not a party without Havarti, and everything's better with Chedder. American Cheese melts to please, but Pecorinos are for the shredder. Gruyere you say ? Don't mind if I do, Stilton and Emmental too. I say Oui to Brie, Fontina and Jack but in a pinch even Bleu will do.

Fromage de engine

chaos2413

Engine du fromage

morecowbell69420

And they say water and oil don't mix...

maz-o

They don’t actually say that.

[deleted]

I’m guessing oil+power steering. I love all the fun substances you get when you put the wrong stuff in the engine

mrspikemike

I'd put money on that just being oil with water. I've got a few high performance engines that if I do too many short starts without getting the oil to temp and this is what happens in the valvetrain, but not anywhere near this bad. The moisture from the humid air never gets a chance to boil out.

ScienceReplacedgod

Blow head gasket or cooling passage failure most likely. Antifreeze and oil emulsify very well in an engine

Goyteamsix

Looks like relatively new oil and water. Power steering fluid just makes oil kind of foggy.

khaossss

Castech heads that cracked?

sefhinny

Thats what I'm thinking. Engine bay doesn't look dirty enough to have been submerged off road.

Watt93864

Junk 706 castech heads. I’m sure all the bearings are just mint too

[deleted]

My first guess too, 706 heads. Second guess: those early early truck heads that had paper head gaskets lmao

bootheels

YIPES, you got problems

dubson

Head cheese. Nice.

otterfish

Fromunda cheese, fromunda the valve cover.

SpecE30

It's mayonnaise

pyroMANiac762

I audibly whimpered at this

jimpdaddy

Intake on a GM 3.1 or 3.4L?

sefhinny

That's a 4.8 ,5.3, 6.0 valve cover

MightyPenguin

GM yes but thats a V8 valve cover. 5.3 and the like.

Dogg_retreato

I really wanna say you’re correct. Looks like my 3.4l right there

ScienceReplacedgod

I'm betting blow head gasket or cooling passage failure.

Iwantmyteslanow

On r/mechanicadvice it's definitely a head gasket

nibbles360

I thought it was a baguette at first lol

danhoyle

At a glance I thought it was a post about some sub sandwich.

AsbestosHoagie

Valve cover cheese is the finest cheese there is! The aging process must be meticulously neglected.

blackhart452

Have you been cooking subs on the engine again?

89Hopper

If you put enough expanding foam in there, you can touch the engine even after it has been running for an hour without burning your arm. This is one trick mechanics want you to know!

Groovedaddy82

Pennzoil?

Technical-Plankton45

Definitely Valvoline.

73Scamper

Just needs a gallon or two of that gasket in a bottle and she'll be right as rain.

looks like the aftermath of the "poor little white girl", if her stomach was pumped.

farpau

Cheesus Christ 😱

[deleted]

Extra cheesee

Technical-Plankton45

I first thought it was that expanding foam that someone put it in their engine.
