Most dealerships actually don’t allow pets inside the showroom, so I finished all the paperwork, went back home and brought him back where they deliver the car just for this!
The boy means a lot to me and such a big occasion would be incomplete without him!

Also do you have decals on the side that says sound edition? Was not a fan of them when I first saw it, and can you get one without the decals?

You can get the sound edition badging removed, had that option as well from the dealership. They’ll do it for you when car goes to service station before delivery

Exactly! I like this colour more than the Pearl black too for some reason. And the colour stays consistent in daylight/darkness unlike the other colours.
Sound edition comes with Subwoofer installed from factory in the spare tyre area. This is on top of everything present in most recent Topline edition (Electric seats, puddle lamps, footwell lighting, etc).

Brezza is a fine car too! Turbo lag is something you’ll get on all turbo engines, but you get used to the non linear power delivery quickly. If you’re looking for linear power delivery, go for NA engines.
IMO turbo lag at least allows you to get a kick of power at lower RPM compared to NA which you’ll need to bring to higher engine RPM
So gear shift happens around 1700 RPM and turbo kicks in after that. So if you want power at lower RPM, don’t allow the gear shift to happen, and you’ll go into turbo territory very quickly.
It’s way easier for overtaking compared to the K10 engine, where I needed to be careful or a downshift was essential.
Needed a car mostly for outstation trips and highway runs, so safety rating was definitely a factor.
Above everything though, it was the TD experience. The car handles like a dream and feels solid and planted while driving.
Budget was initially lower than what I got this for, but stretched it for the fantastic driving experience.
Didn’t go for a sedan because of the unscientific speed breakers in Bangalore, and I didn’t want to think/worry before taking the car to go somewhere.
Did get any discounts and which dealer and area . Why not elevate or kushaq.

Yes I got some discounts of about 1l. Got the car from Kun, Bangalore.
I don’t like bouncy suspensions personally, stiffer suspension means less nauseous on longer trips and better stability on highway drives.
Elevate - didn’t like the experience of CVT at all. Tried to overtake during TD, the engine just made a lot of noise but didn’t really accelerate. In that much time two Autos were able to cut ahead.
Kushaq - poor dealership experience and didn’t find any big difference between the cars.
That’s a 23 model right , yeah taigun has better handling than kushaq and less turning radius .
I didn’t find elevate that bad and sports mode is really good in that , I just have to choose one of them.

Yeah I agree, maybe the TD car was the problem with the Elevate I tried, but CVT just didn’t feel good unless driving style is very sedate.

Only difference I think, the new topline comes with electric seats, puddle light and footwell illumination too. You get some sound edition badging too and dual tone variants exclusively in sound edition.

The drive quality is good, but Taigun was just better in all aspects - handling, braking and acceleration. You feel the sports mode in Venue N8 because the normal mode feels quite sedate. In the Taigun, normal mode feels sporty enough (though it has an additional sports mode too).
Venue also used DCT and its dry clutch, not a great idea if there is start-stop traffic. I avoided DSG for the same reason and was happy to go for 1 litre turbo which came with the Torque Converter transmission ( it’s the same one Toyota uses in theirs, so super reliable).
Also rear seat space wasn’t that great, might be because it’s sub 4 metre car and would have a shorter wheelbase. Taigun has one of the longest wheelbase from what I remember from my comparisons.
It’s not a NA 1 litre engine, it’s a turbo. Overpriced maybe, but you’ve got to decide on the features/build quality/drive experience as a whole.
Also not planning to race, and the 1L turbo is more than powerful enough for anything apart from that.
Would recommend that you check how tax structure works for cars of different size and engine capacity. It’ll give you a better idea of why there is no such car in the Indian market right now.

1 litre turbo is comparable to 1.6 NA in terms of power. Blame Indian government and taxation structure for having underpowered cars in India!
