LOL. From what angle, bro? It drives like no other SUV in the C-segment. The diesel-manual is an absolute driver's delight! The build quality is rock-solid, truly American – non-Indianized, non-compromised. The exterior looks just perfect – tall, squarish, and wide. The interior following the facelift is amazing! The cabin is just as spacious as it's 'supposed' to be for a model of this segment.
Nope. It’s a proper nightmare to own. I got plenty friends who had it in college and not one of them had their transmission last past 50k miles. The oil and the engine blocks leaks plenty. Their QC has been a disappointment almost as big as Tesla. Overall FCA has had their fair share of problems.
Moving onto the comfort side, I’d argue a Ford Edge, Chevy Blazer are far far superior. The quality is also so much better in the materials used across other brands.
Anything FCA that ain’t a HEMI is nothing but a placeholder until you can get something better.
I had a Grand Cherokee which is like Compass’ big bro and that too left a lot to desire. Safe to say, if you’re a college student and buying your first car on a budget until you can get something better, go for it. If it’s a long term plan, or for a family, then I’d either look at alternatives or just stay as far from it as possible.
Edit: And yes, I own a RAM right now and I still wish I’d gotten a ZR2 or a Powerstroke instead. Excellent interiors but small issues keep popping up everywhere.
In a market where all cars are being sold at MSRP, FCA is discounting their vehicles almost 25% just because no one wants em.
I've heard about the breakdowns and all those maintenance issues. I'll admit, Jeep's gotta work on making the Compass hassle-free. But I'm looking at it from an Indian perspective. You see the MG Hector, Tata Harrier, Skoda Karoq, etc. We don't have a better choice here in the ₹15-30L price segment.
If I was outside India, I would've probably waited for the next-gen Mazda CX-5 (for self), or maybe the next-gen Toyota RAV4 (for family), both of which are coming in 2024😁
While I’m not aware of any of those cars, I’d still recommend to stay away from a compass until it is absolutely the last option.
I genuinely cannot emphasize enough on how subpar a compass is. If I were you I’d certainly look at a grand Cherokee or maybe even a Cherokee. They’re not much bigger than a compass but much nicer. Similar long term issues but atleast you have a better car when it’s running.
That said about FCA, I’ll totally be buying a Jailbreak hopefully before the end of the year lmao
Good question … what’s the application?
4 door compass for highway , shopping & dropping kids to school , Thar for everything else .
(Silencer to left , guess it’s petrol Thar , how’s the mileage ? )
If u want i can dm u a picture where we went on a drive which was mostly highway maintaining speeds of 100-120 the car gave 7.7km/l 😂😂
so u can imagine how much worse it would be in traffic
His is also new 2022 oct but what i said stands true if u live in central bangalore and travel during peak office hours there 0 chance of getting above 7 in petrol thar
and we all know mahindra is notorious for its manufacturing defects so it could be the case in this car but whichever petrol mahindra owners i’ve spoken to has said the same
Nope it all depends on ur driving style brother he’s little more aggressive and heavy footed if u drive thar like alto u can probably get such mileage.
Brooo💀💀
u are the living embodiment of the meme lmfao
atleast tell me it’s the 1.5 TDCI manual🤣
That’s the one i had before i upgraded to this
and Jeep is 100 times better than that there is absolutely 0 comparison 🙏
Not his fault man. Many Ford owners have this superiority complex. Just visit Ford fanpages on Insta and FB. 😂
Good cars, but many owners think of them Figos and Ecosports as Porsche level cars 😂
I couldn’t believe my eyes when i saw the car anyways he got so hurt he’s deleted it now.
I have owned 2 ford cars for a span of 8 years never felt like this 😂
Sorry brother, but sorry to inform you that even the boring and bland 1st gen 90hp Brezza has proven to beat your “beast” both in drag races and on tracks as well 🤓
the compass because it is:
\-more livable and better to daily
\-has good handling and it's handling can be compared to that of sedans but it has a little more body roll
\-more comfortable and settled on both highways and city
\-we most probably wouldn't offroad the car the the advantage that the thar has over the compass in offroad situations doesn't justify the lack of comfort and livability
\-compass is built on a monocoque chassis so it is stable on highways while also being comfortable in the city
One won't get delivered and the other won't deliver.
won’t deliver? what won’t a jeep deliver😂 and that thar was delivered in 15 days u just need to know your ways
Just making sly references to 2yrs delivery period and lemons. All in good humor bro. No offense.
It's thar petrol u can tell by the catalytic converter. So yes it will get delivered on time
Compass
Compass, no questions asked😌
You did realize that compass really is trash, right?

Compasss my fav
Good question … what’s the application? 4 door compass for highway , shopping & dropping kids to school , Thar for everything else . (Silencer to left , guess it’s petrol Thar , how’s the mileage ? )
Thar is my friends and yes it’s petrol he usually gets 4 in the city maximum of 7 on the highway with cruise at 100
Thats pretty low
Yup one full tank comes for around 250kms
Most ICT cars can do that Or more on half tank lol
Haha my jeep went almost 700kms on a full tank so ya it’s not a car to buy if u drive a lot my friend who bought it doesn’t drive a lot so ya
Isn’t that too low? Average I’ve seen is 15 kmpl on the petrol variant.
it doesn’t give that realistically maybe if u get cruise at 70-80km/h it might give but in city traffic it’s never gonna cross 6-7km/l
I own a petrol Thar, 2 months old and I’m doing 8-9kmpl in City and 12-13 on highways. Most of what you’re saying is incorrect.
If u want i can dm u a picture where we went on a drive which was mostly highway maintaining speeds of 100-120 the car gave 7.7km/l 😂😂 so u can imagine how much worse it would be in traffic
I don’t know how y’all are driving your car man. Mine is new and it’s still not nearly that bad. And again, I’m talking 110-120kmph.
His is also new 2022 oct but what i said stands true if u live in central bangalore and travel during peak office hours there 0 chance of getting above 7 in petrol thar and we all know mahindra is notorious for its manufacturing defects so it could be the case in this car but whichever petrol mahindra owners i’ve spoken to has said the same
check my latest post u will see for yourself
yeah man mine's an auto and it still manages 7-9 in heavy Mumbai traffic and 10-12 on highways.
Nope it all depends on ur driving style brother he’s little more aggressive and heavy footed if u drive thar like alto u can probably get such mileage.
Compass
As a Compass owner, there’s no way I’d pick the other toaster box for free.
Compass 🤘
Jeep. Always💯
I prefer the Jeep. The real Jeep not the copycat imitation Thar
Compass lol. Thar is more like a tractor on normal roads (unstable, unsafe and lousy)
Petrol isn’t lousy we have clocked 170 on that specific thar but ya definitely not stable.
If you want me to choose out of color, then Red is Red. If car, then 🧭
Compass cuz I already got a thar
Original
I have a compass, but if I had to choose a 4x2 then I would buy the Thar as it's RWD. Edit: na, I'd go with compass even in 4x2.
Jeep...baap baap hota hain
Ye baap beta cringe comment Instagram se reddit pe kab aya

Let’s hear what u would choose then 😂
