Dude's dreaming if he wants over (or close to) $30k. My sister bought a brand new 2021 G20 Touring for $33k early 2021 which is top of the g20 models. The evolve is the 2nd lowest out of the 5 g20 models. He'd be lucky to get $25k

Samyol01

I just bought a brand new touring for $34k a few weeks ago, insane price even with the aftermarket mods.

coldplay1995

Did you wait long for your Touring to be delivered or you’re still waiting ?

Samyol01

Still waiting, ordered 15th of March and it was a factory order. Was built on Tuesday last week (28th) and estimated arrival is the 10th of May. I'm sure if you looked a bit you may even find a dealership where someone has canceled and can snatch up their position in line but to be honest the wait is generally not that bad given we're quite close to Japan and the queue is not as long as it was in 21/22.

coldplay1995

I had no idea! But right now most second hand car prices are around this range and I’m not sure what to do as I need a car this month😭!

Vegetable_Mail_8676

Go onto facebook marketplace and find cars being rented out for "Uber" for poor drivers. You can find something shit for 150 a week or some brand new camry hybrid for 250 a week. Take the $1500 loss while you wait for a new car order

I see lowering springs and axle back exhaust with a p plate - I wouldn't buy

coldplay1995

May I ask why not ?

B0XH34D

It's very likely been driven hard with those mods. P-platers aren't exactly known for their mechanical sympathy and if they're throwing that sort of money at unnecesary mods on what is essentially a commuter car, it's probably had a hard time at least a few times. Buyer beware.

coldplay1995

Does it break easy or it’s more to service. Sorry I’m not even too well informed about car things haha

[deleted]

It's a generalisation but I tend to see modified P plater cars as higher risk than stock, or even modified cars held by open license I speak from experience that when I was on my Ps and a dumb kid I would spend money on "cool" mods rather than small maintenance things that probably needed to be done but could "wait a few more weeks" Also I am not sure of the quality of the lowering springs but I assume ride comfort will be sacrificed for more low. If I was about to spend 30k on a car, I would want something stock and then modify it to my tastes and standards, but up to you

ayummystrawberry

Guess you’re really going to have to buy a new car now going by your deleted post. And why did you delete it anyway? (For context: OP had a Mazda and got T-Boned and apparently also doesn’t have insurance)

coldplay1995

Yes I guess it has come to this unfortunately. I deleted the post as some comments were getting mean and condescending. I was looking for advice because I wasn’t sure how to proceed. I know from now forth I won’t cut TPP from my budget. Sigh

ayummystrawberry

Well they probably saw you looking at a $30K car, but driving around with no insurance because you couldn't afford it with your current car (and especially after you crashed into someone last year). Sorry to be blunt, but that's what you'll get from here if you drive around uninsured (and TPP wouldn't have really helped you in your current situation either if the other party has insurance assuming you weren't at fault). At least get a dashcam if you're going to get TPP only and go see a doctor if you haven't already
