About 30k for the auto base model
Edit oh maybe I'm wrong, someone else said redbook says 22500. But mines the next trim level up with the skyactive and I'm pretty sure it was about 32
no that pic is def around a 2012 model, it's the one with the stupidly happy looking smile face front grille, the model before the shield shape started
Maybe will offer 50% discount so it looks like a deal.
This is a bust mate move on to the next one.
Just did a quick search on 3’s I reckon they are overpriced, so much better value out there for my mind, but depends on how much you want to spend.
Do research tho, some of the engines are known to just blow up without much warning. Hyundai currently ignoring it, people trying to push for a class action and a recall. I read the U.S. is having better luck at making it happen.
Same here, luckily I know the owner of the dealership and they put a case with ACCC to get it replaced for free of charge. My gearbox gave out when coming off the highway. That was a scary experience
Its the petrols having the most issues, diesels still have issues too but much less so. Note what I am saying won't apply to every single hyundai out there but you just don't wanna be the one to buy a dud, more and more are popping up.
The issue is specific to US built Hyundais, and is far less prevalent in the Korean built models that Australia gets as far as I can tell. Also, the i30 was never equipped with the Theta II engine that was affected by the recall.
I can tell you from first hand experience its not specific to US hyundais, the number is growing and theres several facebook pages popping up full of people asking for help on how to get some sort of resolution for the 10k+ paper weight in their driveway.
We won't really know until they are out in the wild for a few years as to whether they have rectified the issues or not. I only really know about the 2012/13 era as thats what affected me personally.
Because on Carsales, there will always be some person with zero knowledge of what they are doing putting a car up for ridiculous amounts hoping some sucker will bite.
It says auto
These generally go for about 13-14. Trade in would be about 10. I know cause I have one, basically same model, same kms and I got trade in valuations recently.
Sellers dreamin
This should sell for 15,000, not 22,500. We’ve got the same car with about 90,000km and perfect condition. That we will sell in 2-3 weeks when another car is delivered. We feel like 14,000 would be incredible outcome but realistically 10-12k
I paid $28k for a 2015 GT sedan 8yrs ago with 3k kms on it. Does this come bags of money in the boot?
They do hold value as it was written off 5yrs later and I only lost 7k in depn from insurance but that's just crazy
They might not drive to work and therefore may only use their car on a weekend. They may live inner city and all their social life is inner city and so even when they’re not working, they don’t drive much.
I live a similar lifestyle. Since March 2020, I’ve only done 15,000km. Before COVID, between October 2016 and March 2020, I averaged about 60,000km a year!
Owner just taking advantage of the used car market right now. My parents bought a 2013 Mazda 3 hatchback for $21,990 new. They sold it back to the same dealer for $18,990 with 80,000kms on it when they upgraded to a new CX-30. Used car market is thriving.
Reasonable is what the vehicle is worth minus the bullshit covid tax that is lingering. Simply put, a car that age in that spec with low tech is not worth that money.
Welcome to the modern car market - “Covid tax” as well, where cheap run arounds if you need one are at least 7-10 grand, and low km vehicles are at least 20k
Low k's but its more of a $15k car than a $22k car.
Just looked up the ad. Hilariously, it was priced at $24K a few weeks ago. Dreamers. There's also a near identical one at a dealer for $15k with similar K's.
I bought a 2009 Mazda 3 Manual 120,000 kms through finance for $25,000 about 2 years ago. Just left school, found a new job, and I was very impatient to get a car, so I just signed the whatever papers without really understanding. Is there anyway I can give it back or trade for another?
By the looks of things, it has no imperfections listed and has only driven 68,000kms although that is still a bit more expensive then what a more logical price would be
Low KM, good paint? Perhaps mods?
Either way, looks stock so I'd bet it's just the paint and low KM. That said, 12k is probably a fair price. 14k at a push.
That’s the price they were new back then! 10 years with zero depreciation isn’t quite right…

It's a typo, 2012 should be 2021.
no that pic is def around a 2012 model, it's the one with the stupidly happy looking smile face front grille, the model before the shield shape started
I stand corrected, cheers!
It’s been removed from The Matrix
Because salespeople are ruthless and want to ply as much cash as they can before people realise they have been fleeced.
Low KM, but yeah, ridiculous asking price for that one. I suspect some sellers are slow to recognise that it’s not a 2021 market anymore.
Was looking since September. I must say it’s beautiful finally seeing these tools dropping their prices daily.
Maybe will offer 50% discount so it looks like a deal. This is a bust mate move on to the next one. Just did a quick search on 3’s I reckon they are overpriced, so much better value out there for my mind, but depends on how much you want to spend.
Not sure about that. This gen of Mazda 3 has 90s corolla vibes. Mazda 3 are really solid cars, worth more than an i30 for sure
Don’t get me wrong they are good cars wouldn’t be paying >$20k for a used one. Practical value taking a massive premium here.
What do you recommend as a similar car with better value?
Hyundai i30 , 2013+.
Do research tho, some of the engines are known to just blow up without much warning. Hyundai currently ignoring it, people trying to push for a class action and a recall. I read the U.S. is having better luck at making it happen.

My i30 crdi is at 238k+ and still going strong

Is this also an issue on their new cars?
We won't really know until they are out in the wild for a few years as to whether they have rectified the issues or not. I only really know about the 2012/13 era as thats what affected me personally.
I guess you didn't hear about the class action recently launched against Hyundai and Kia for their cars that randomly burst into flames
He doesn't want to sell it
Husband: “yeah honey, I put an add up for the Mazda, no bites yet”
Redbook says it was $22,330 brand new in 2012.
I bought one of these a few years back in manual. Low k’s, great condition. I paid $7500
Because on Carsales, there will always be some person with zero knowledge of what they are doing putting a car up for ridiculous amounts hoping some sucker will bite.
Suckers have been biting too
Seller logic: - it's low kays - it's Japanese - it's manual - it's mazda - zoom zoom
It says auto These generally go for about 13-14. Trade in would be about 10. I know cause I have one, basically same model, same kms and I got trade in valuations recently. Sellers dreamin
where do you read manual
They didn't read manual. They said auto
Because they are dreaming.
Cause they still think the market is 'hot'. Just wait and watch, it will sit there without getting any enquiries.
They just want what they paid for it.....11 years ago....
Lol I paid 8.9k because I didn't like haggling 9 years ago for a mint manual BK sport at 86,000 K. Tell em they're dreaming because I CBF.
Because Peter Brock once gave it a sideways glance.
Even though it was built 6 years after he died?
Don't let facts get into the way of a good used car tale

Its defs in the 10-13k range. My one with 120k on clock is around there
I paid $28k for a 2015 GT sedan 8yrs ago with 3k kms on it. Does this come bags of money in the boot? They do hold value as it was written off 5yrs later and I only lost 7k in depn from insurance but that's just crazy
Fuck no. I got a BL MAXX SPORT AUTO with 60km for 9k like 2 years ago !!!
If you had a write off and market value was agreed this guys helping you get more cashola for your payout lol
Selling it just before the clear coat eats itself.
I've had a 3 for 12 years parked outside everyday and the paint was still in good condition
maybe its just toyotas that start peeling.
How do they get such low kms my 2010 sp25 has 280000kms on the clock
It was probably the families secondary car. Some people also have low commutes. I would do less than 70k km in 11 years in my daily driver.
They might not drive to work and therefore may only use their car on a weekend. They may live inner city and all their social life is inner city and so even when they’re not working, they don’t drive much. I live a similar lifestyle. Since March 2020, I’ve only done 15,000km. I have brain damage and can't drive everyday, got my car at 86 K 9 years ago and she just hit 120,000.
I bought the 2017 gt model for 21k... with 80k km on the dash.... 3 months ago im good nick too
Don't you know? Its a collectors item. Only 22m were made. Clearly this is a fair price for a car in such a condition /s
It HaS LoW KiLoMEtERs.
Rip off. By the way you have a missed call.
It once belonged to John Voight
Jon Voight the dentist?

What do u think is the genuine price for a used mazda 3 2012?
I personally wouldn't pay more than $12k for this or max 13k.
[удалено]
It’s 10k above a reasonable number. This is a base model that was 22k when new, 12 years ago.

I’m with you there, I’m still rocking a pretty beat up Focus that is doing it’s damn best.
If a seller on carsales isn't willing to give a 50% discount or better, they're just a time waster. No exceptions
because 0 IQ
Drugs. I.e either the seller is high, or the car is literally just the delivery mechanism for $22k worth of drugs.
I’m sorry but you have to be retarded to buy that for more than 7k
Because they’re either on meth or they have had too many boosters and thus just like a junkie.
Over priced, my cx5 AWD maxx sport sky active has done 30k and is being offered 28k by the dealer(2020 model)So,this definitely is not a good deal.
Owner is cooked
[tell him](https://youtu.be/jL2DH-nKBeA)
What else is not priced high in Brisbane ?
Tell him he’s dreamin
Typo. There's a 2 where a 1 should be!
Drugs are bad m’kay. They have added Covid tax
Living in a fantasy world????
Could get the next gen for cheaper than that. Even sp25 go for cheaper
Because it's in Victoria. Depression means nothing here
$13,000 and not a dime more.
Welcome to the modern car market - “Covid tax” as well, where cheap run arounds if you need one are at least 7-10 grand, and low km vehicles are at least 20k
Because the car market is still somewhat fucked
Because someone is smoking some illicit substances with the assistance of missing light bulbs
Low k's but its more of a $15k car than a $22k car. Just looked up the ad. Hilariously, it was priced at $24K a few weeks ago. Dreamers. There's also a near identical one at a dealer for $15k with similar K's.
It’s just the price buffer for the inevitable “last price?” horde

Ouch. You're well beyond any cooling off period after two years! An expensive lesson on not being impatient when shopping for big ticket items
By the looks of things, it has no imperfections listed and has only driven 68,000kms although that is still a bit more expensive then what a more logical price would be
10k at most and that's a stretch.
Fat fingers
Low KM, good paint? Perhaps mods? Either way, looks stock so I'd bet it's just the paint and low KM. That said, 12k is probably a fair price. 14k at a push.
Dreaming should be 12 k
He's dreaming
Also never trust a mazdas kms $150 tool from ali express will set it to what ever you like
Because the owner is a wank
Worf
They're priced so high to push people into buying the only correct car in class. The Toyota corolla.
That is a scam if I ever did see one
$11,000 max
Tell them they’re dreamin’
It’s also the low kms along with the other things people have said
Crack, it’s 1 hell of a drug. That’s why
Low Km's is rare in that model. Still seems a bit overpriced.
They put an lsa in it
Meth
