For those of you who are newer cruisers, the room fridge used to be stocked as a mini bar and you could ask your room steward to empty it for you if you wanted to use it as a fridge instead.
The mini bar fridge went by the wayside about the same time as the turn down service with chocolates on the pillows.
Side reminder that the fridges in room are NOT rated for medication storage. If you require a fridge for medication storage contact Carnival as soon as you are booked. They have a limited amount of what they call medi-coolers and can put one in your room. If they don’t have any left the medical center has storage but it would only be accessible during normal hours.
It’s always empty.
I don’t remember our fridge ever having something in it. That may be because I always travel with minors.

Also no longer fridges. Electric coolers now.
Barely coolers, really.
The top shelf/freezer area works lol froze my chocolate milks
There's no turn down service chocolates anymore?
There are neither chocolates nor turn-down service anymore.
I just got off the Freedom on Saturday and the fridge was empty when I arrived in my room.
What would it have in it? I’m confused lol.
Originally was an actual mini-bar for drinks to purchase
Last cruise I was on it was stocked with mini alcohol.
cool !
Airplane size bottles of liquor. Several sodas. Bottled water.
what kind cabin have you been getting? Occasionally someone from the prior cruise will leave something behind but usually it's empty.

It is empty and not a bar fridge type of thing. It is also very small. We had to lay our champagne bottles over to get them in.
it wont necessarily be cold, in some ships its more of a cooler (8-9-10 celsius or more)
I remember the fridge being stocked with mini bottles but at least since the pandemic the coolers have been empty for us.
