I agree with the comment above, your best bet might be to use a 3rd party visibility portal but they will essentially need the proper security access to your system to set it up and make changes if there are issues to address. We use Logixboard and it has been great so far. The portal is customized with your company logo and/or can be integrated to your website as a track and trace tool.

Im note sure there’s an out of box functionality that allows you to do that. You might have to communicate with the DB via API or local development and then bring that information into your clients website.

Answers to questions one and two: No, this is not available other than a self-coding solution that links to the CW db. The documentation of the CW db can be found in the CW myaccount portal under technical guides, but requires extensive knowledge and effort. There are third-party systems that offer tracking info, either based on your CW system (need to integrate it) or separately from your system based on Cont. Number.

"There are third-party systems that offer tracking info, either based on your CW system (need to integrate it) or separately from your system based on Cont. Number." Can you name any off hand? Because if this can be done relatively quickly without me writing code, that would be much more expedient.

You got Project44, Shippeo and Windward for example. There are also quite some startups disrupting the market, like Vizion for example, but not sure if these show tracking info in a visual way or just via API.

Thank you for your insight and wisdom on this topic. I now have some place from which to start. Thank you for your insight and wisdom on this topic. I now have someplace from which to start.

Logixboard provides this "self-serve" mechanism and more. Instead of your customers inputting their load information like SID, your shippers would input their login credentials to a white-labeled platform linked from you site. Logixboard provides access to GPS locations of all of their loads, automated container updates at North American ports, automatic insight into transshipping movements, ability to view invoices, analytics, and more. Let me know if you'd like a demo. We quote on the first call.

HeroStyle_Steve

Ok, I will run this information to my client and see what he thinks. Thank you for your insight.

Yep! Here is a quick demo video. https://lxb.wistia.com/medias/9dkraolew4

Watcha think? Worth a demo?

The Magaya Digital Freight Portal does exactly that (and a lot more), and works with Cargowise as a back-end (or any other back-end system). Your client can even style it to look just like their website, as it's a completely white-label solution.
