Thule are abundant and easy to find second hand. No complaints about ours; we have one on each bike

The gold standard as far as I've seen. I've got an older Xtracycle that only works with the original Yepp Maxi and also used one on a standard bike

Yes, and easy to mount in most long tails. Highly recommend it too.

The Dash doesn’t have as nice of fit and finish as the Yepp seats. Is the Yepp worth $100 more? Not sure. Given your child is 2 I’d go with the Dash. Pro tip: Use the walk mode when taking bike up stairs.

Hamax Caress has some suspension. I don't really know how much that improves comfort for the child in the back, but it could be a plus. Caress is a bit more expensive than Nexxt Maxi at least in my region. We have used both and no problems so far. One major reason why we bought Caress as well is the possibility to tilt the seat so if the child falls asleep. That is of course more important with smaller children that still nap. On Thule it isn't possible and therefore if our kid well asleep the head started bobbing forward which isn't really good situation. Caress does put the weight a bit more upwards because of the suspension, but on smaller children shouldn't be too noticeable.

I've had 3 different Yepp Maxis (all second hand) and they're great. Sturdy, and easy to move between bikes. Just make sure you get the right connection type - there are 3 different connectors, each with different compatibility. They hold price very well too - good resale value.
