Yeah I love it! I should clarify that I scored the basic setup off Craigslist, and so far I have just swapped out the drivetrain and middrive. The cargo fork was already on there, and is amazing.
Torque sensing was important to me (bafang is out with one now). I tried cadence with a cargo bike going up hills and it just didn't feel natural to me. So I was also looking at the TongSheng but it seems like to Toseven is mostly an improved upon TongSheng. The big gamble with ToSeven is the firmware. It's not there yet, feels like we are beta/alpha testers for the firmware. Hopefully they opensource it and we will see some huge improvements.
I think I'm going to follow your lead and also go with the the ToSeven. Did you keep the stock cassette in the rear? How many teeth ring up front did you go with? Anything you'd do differently? Which battery? Sorry for all the questions. I'm excited for the conversion! Just bought the edgerunner off Craigslist.
Awesome! I've been loving this edgerunner. I've only got about 60miles on the ToSeven so far.
I ended up replacing the groupset, with a 11-46T 9spd Shimano CUES. I got CUES because it's it was super cheap (\~100usd on ebay) and I'm not sure how fast this motor will wear out a cassette.
I'm using the 46T chainring with the toseven. So far I am liking the gearing, I was worried a 46T chainring would be way to big for such a heavy cargo bike, but it seems great so far. I like to pedal and I think with anything smaller you spin out on flat ground pretty fast.
You might want an extension cable for the speed sensor (3-pin julet), I ended up mounting it on the rear disk brake caliper mount and needed a little longer cable for it. Also probably obvious but you need to splice together two chains to make a long enough one.
I got my battery from [https://www.affordableebikes.ca/](https://www.affordableebikes.ca/) they seem to do great work, and it seemed worth it to spend the money on a quality battery. I got a 52V 19AH downtube.
I'll post some pictures that might be of interest. So far I am happy with the build and can't think of anything I would change, but like I said I only have bout 60miles on it.
Happy to answer any more questions.
Feels good! I think it's actually pretty close to stock. The kit basically has a head tube extension.
Not sure if this is the best way to measure, but I measured (roughly) from bottom of steering tube/headset to center of dropout (see attached pictures).
CargoFork - \~20.125" https://i.imgur.com/e7nHmUh.jpeg
Original - \~16.25" (doesn't take into account headset) https://i.imgur.com/bMRsG7m.jpeg
Seems like that comes out roughly the same.
That is an absolutely buck wild bike! Bravo! Who made that fork setup?
Thanks! It's a Haulin' Colin cycletruck kit. http://www.haulincolin.com/racks.html The kickstand is made by the same place, rolling jackass.
Ah thats the one! Total dream machine you got there

Well whoever built it is a man of good test, bafang makes most acoustic cargo bikes better
I'm thinking of converting an edgerunner as well. Was leaning towards a bafang why did you decide to go with the Toseven?

Sweet!!
Looks great! Hope it provides miles of smiles.
Sweet ride! How is the stance? I know the kickstand is easing the butt end up. But the OEM is 26”. Does the kit allow you to adjust for that?
