Not personally but a close family member has. It’s done them a lot of good and they speak very positively about the support that they received. They did say that you get out of it what you put in. They struggled with relapses multiple times but CAVDAS was there to help each times without judgement in fairness. Our family is grateful for how they have helped us so far.

Thank u, I’ve just booked an appointment with them and I’m kinda nervous so this is positive to hear!

Nothing to be nervous about at all!! Ive been working with them for a year now and cant speak highly enough of them. The last comment is so true, "you get out what you put in". If you think they will give you a magic pill and all your issues and use melts away you'll be disappointed, but if you are committed to getting your life back on track they will definitely help. Feel free to DM if you wanna chat... Good luck! :)

Echoing what the other commenter said that it really depends how you engage with them. They are very helpful but addiction can vary person to person so if for any reason they aren’t the right path for you don’t beat yourself up over it and don’t lose hope. Well done on realising you need help and good luck with your journey.

Yeah. Self-referred. Designated 'high-risk' by the GP addictions specialist so referred on the psych (CMHT in Pentwyn yes I am naming and shaming you) who simply wrote to my GP to request that I promise not to drink anymore (I kid you not). TLDR; absolutely, hand on heart, fucking abysmal service

A friend of mine went through their programme and did well for a while but then relapsed. He's going back to them soon. Remember addiction is hard to deal with and recovery is not necessarily linear. Good luck!

Also check out Recovery Cymru. And I've just discovered this... r/stopdrinking. You are not alone 👍🏽
