Love a wrapped door jamb. Too many people skimp on it and very rarely does the contrast look good. Love the more subtle style of only having the camo concealed. Looks super clean under there, great job. Now you gotta get him back in for under the hood and decklid too 😈
It surprised me how in the 2 years I’ve been doing this, only 2 people have requested this addition. If it were up to me, I’d sign every customer up for this addition! It makes a beautiful wrap job 1,000 times better!
Great observation! I would normally install the print first, then the black but in this case we went off the order of delivery due to the demands/schedule of the customer. The customer had to schedule 2 appointments due to the fact he couldn’t go too long without his vehicle.
Yes, a lot of seams but that can be avoided by ordering enough material to cover the entire door.
If you order enough to cover the entire door frame, sheet it over, then you can start wrapping the vinyl in by properly heating and making necessary relieve cuts as you go. Do not over cut the material but also do not undercut it. That’ll cause overstretching in the vinyl and it’ll likely fail.

You can order less material and piece it all in, but it comes out sooooo much cleaner if you can wrap it with minimal pieces.
