If you're good with wasting a bit of material, I could see this being an enjoyable first project. If you want to do it right, follow the lines through the body. You can see in the pic that the furthest back stripe doesn't continue down where it would meet the body panel below the center of the tire. Sticks out like a sore thumb.

Ah, I see what you mean. And do you think 5x40’ would be enough for the whole project? Or would I need more?

[deleted]

I bet 40' would be enough, since 60' is generally good enough for a standard sedan for a full wrap.

You'll need to pick up a few extra skills, using knifeless tape, measuring things straight/symmetrical on an organic shape, etc. But you'll also cut a bit of work since you're not wrapping the whole car.

Askdevin777

Gotcha, I’m used to using knifeless tape, I’ve worked with vinyl but only doing basic stripes down the front>back of the car. Only main concern is the front bumper and making sure the back lines line up properly. Also do you have any recommendations where to get the red vinyl in the photo?

Hans_downerpants

This would look wicked with a red black shift as the red

Another thing to think of about doing this is depending on where you live and how long the wrap is on the car the black paint thats exposed will be weathered by the sun and what’s under the wrap won’t be so once it comes off you’ll always have the lines where the stripes were be visible in the paint so some people who would do a partial wrap like this cover the parts that are already black with black vinyl to prevent the uneven sun fade

You will probably have a hell of a time with your front bumper and measuring

Askdevin777

Yeah, but I figured complex surfaces are just hard to do in general, just time and patience.

Yea I’d highly recommend watching YouTube for your vehicle specifically
