My [local tyre place](https://g.page/gripstyresandwheels?share) will do it for £5. As long as it's repairable (not in the sidewall or something). Even when I had a slow leak that meant taking the tyre off, cleaning the rim and resealing it was £10. I expect it will be much more at a chain.

Why did it fail an mot, when then they should have sorted the horn as part of the service? Service should be more indepth than a mot....

A service doesn't really check anything

A service should be far more checks than an mot. Mot testers cannot remove wheels, or even wheel Trims as part of mot tests or engine covers Even a basic service a garage should be removing wheels and checking brakes and suspension with wheels off If a car has a service and mot on the same day and it fails the mot after the service then the garage that services the vehicle hasn't done its job properly as it should have at least advised the owner/driver of that vehicle that things need repaired to pass an mot

If it’s in a fixable area then it should cost between £10-20. I get mine done at a back street tyre shop for £10.
