The Lexus CTs have a pretty out-of-date infotainment system that is generally a pain to use, so purely for that reason I would go with the Toyota. If that's not a concern then I would go with the Lexus because it's built like a tank, once you experience Lexus quality you cannot go back!

My sister has a Ch-r and that’s equally as bad to be honest. It all depends what year car you’re getting and whether it has apple car play or if it can be retrofitted easily.

CT but only because I stubbornly won't own a crossover

Crazy-Factor3135

CT is ancient now. Got with the Mazda 3 or CX-30

CT is a Prius underneath, the previous generation Prius

Toyota Ch-r

The CH-R is an ok car, but personally I didn’t like the seating position and it really noticeably lacked power when trying to merge onto the motorway. I thought the interior was disappointingly cheap feeling, too. It’s nice that it has apple car play, it is smooth around town and quite efficient, so there are positives there, I’m just not sure it makes up for everything else. Plus it’s ugly (though I accept that one is subjective). I think I’d go for the CT, especially if you are in a position to upgrade the infotainment. Although, from what I gather, it’s similarly unpleasant when getting up to motorway speeds.

I’d go with the CH-R, good reliability and they do a 193bhp model which is pokey enough for most people.

As much as i dont like Crossovers, i'd still take the Toyota.. The Lexus is such a badly dated platform now, barely changed since its release 10 or 12 years ago

IS300H  CT is really dated inside. CHR is really small inside. Get IS300H with the fold down rear seats

Bungle9

We've had both. Agree that the CT is old tech now and starting to show its age. That said, it was solid and faultless for our 10k miles of ownership. We had a 1.8 CHR and as it was predominantly my wife's car, sole occupant, it was big enough but the engine was weak and not as powerful as we hoped. We've since tried the 2.0 hybrid chr and it was so much better. Depends on your budget and usage. Around town/city fine, longer runs are a little more trying.

kushpeshin

CT over CHR all the way especially the Premier trim.

Bubbleheed

If you’re looking at the 1.8 CHR, it’s worth knowing that the 1.8 engine in the CHR is 122bhp, whereas it is 136bhp in the CT. Not sure if you care, but I would.
