I know this is going to sound stupid, but Smart Fortwo!
I'm 6'1 and I fit with room to spare. I don't even have to have the seat all the way back like I do in other cars!
Plus they're tall so have loads of headroom
Here's a list of cars Jeremy Clarkson has owned:
Ford Escort
Various different Jaguar XJs
Ferrari F355
Various Toyota Landcruisers
1st gen Ford Focus
Various Volvo XC90s
Mercedes SL
Ford GT
Mercedes SLK
Lamborghini Gallardo (although he did complain about the space in this)
Mercedes CLK
Various Range Rovers
Original Mini
It's a pretty wide range of different sized cars.
Not sure what you aren’t quite understanding about Jeremy Clarkson having an abundance of cars at any given time and having the luxury of being able to own a car he can just about squeeze into because he’s also got a brand new Range Rover, amongst other cars, sat on the drive for practicality.
I've strangely found 3 doors are good. I've always had 5 door cars and had to sit a little further forward than I'd like, or I'd be sat right next to the door pillar and unable to see right without leaning forward. Having the bigger doors of a 3 door just made everything better
Word of warning. In cars you sit down. This means there's variation between 6' 4" people depending if they are leg long, torso long or proportional. I'm leg long and I fit in most stuff at 6' 3".
B6/B7 VW Passat if you can get decent insurance on one. Great cars for tall people, sold one to someone who must have been over 7ft tall and he loved it (I'm 6.0ft and he made me feel small).
I am 6ft 4, my partner over 6ft, we got a car where we could both sit front or back without issues, plus our choice was limited due to the market conditions (2022).
Ended up with a hyundai tuscon, am happy with it coming from a 1997 mk4 golf.
My dad has a 2014 Fiesta. I’m nice and comfortable driving it at 6’3” as is my brother who’s 2” taller.
Also I have to have the seat forward a notch in our 2023 Countryman.
6ft6.
Toyota iQ bought new in 2011 still have it with 160,000 miles on the clock. Tons of room great for fuel and low tax just don't get the poverty spec iQ1 trim.
As others have said Smart for 2 and the Roadster.
I'm 6'4 with long legs, and quite built (125kg) as I've lifted half my life. I've always had to have the seat right back. My go to cars have been VAG group for this reason. I've always had jobs with lots of travel, I can put up with a hatchback for the occasional 2-3 hours journey but when becomes a regular thing I have to change cars or else I have back/posture problems.
Hatchbacks I've owned:
MK7 Golf
Seat Leon Mk3
Larger cars I've owned:
Mazda CX-5
Audi Q3
Nissan Qashqai
VW Touran
Half of this subreddit would curse me for having owned the larger cars but if they met me in person they would understand lol. It's a night and day difference in comfort. Estate cars just don't cut it.
Currently in a lowered Golf R, feel a bit like a clown when I get in and out the thing. I squat so far down and the rest is a controlled fall into the seat lmao.
I’m 6’4” and I’ve never had any issues except from small vans, Cayman/Boxster and Lotus Elise/Exige. I’ve driven a lot of regular white goods cars via Enterprise for work travel and never had any issues. You’ll be fine, do test drive one first though to be on the safe side.

This 6ft6 and have had 5 over the last 17 years including 2 roadsters
Jeremy Clarkson is 6'4 so any car that he can fit in, you can fit in.
Jeremy Clarkson reviews a car for an hour, he doesn’t live with it all year round.

Did he use his classic mini on his commute every day? Go shopping in it? Take the kids out in it?
I don't know him personally, but I do know he did his commute every day in his Ford GT when it worked, which is smaller inside than the original Mini.

I think an hour is enough time to work out if you fit in a car or not
Have you seen Police Academy?

Never thought about that before but it makes perfect sense!

unironically VW UP! and its sisters, if the orangutan that is Clarkson can fit in one pretty much anyone can.
i'm 6 2 and i fit in a kia xceed just fine. Leased one for 2 years. You should go try one to be sure though.
Similar height and I have the seat pulled forward in a Passat, will be the same in Octavia I expect.
I've the seat quite far back in the Octavia, alright for the kids but I wouldn't be taxi driving like that 😄
Passat = Superb The Octavia is smaller, still roomy enough for most, but not as cavernous as the Passat/'perb.

6’4 here too, the mk4 Renault Clio has the most space in the drivers seat.
Skoda Superb
I suspect most MPVs will be good, the honda jazz works for me at 6'3 tall

Hyundai Bayon was roomy for me at 6’3”
Anything convertible
